Does anyone have the problem of their captivate USB cord barely staying connected on the phone's side? The sliding 'door' is all the way open but it seems like it barely is connected, and the slightest movement makes it fall out.

My auto timeout is set to 15 seconds yet the past day it just stays on until I manually turn it off....anyone had this problem?
I have tried switching the auto timeout amount multiple times...still just sits here until I manually turn it off.
I heard this avail for samsung galaxy S. Do you know what it is and can we port to captivate?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI like many of you have been waiting for months to get my hands on the epic. However when I bought one, the battery life was insanely unusable even after 4-5 days. So I finally returned it for a new on. Well find out over the next few days how the battery performs. But the new one has capacitive buttons that barely respond to touch. Particularly the home key and menu key. I've read of a bunch of people having similar problems. Are we just a few unlucky people who happen to be on the forums, or is Samsung having serious Quality control issues here?

One video more than two minutes long can't be sent.(too big to attach is the message) Can anyone help me with this? And I really am curious about the USB cord.

I sound really dumb (lol) but anyways I'm trying to update my phone from 1.5 (i know, im late!!) to 2.1. I'm afraid I'm going to mess my phone up and not back up all of my data correctly. What would you recommend as advice to me before updating my phone?? once again.... i was already supposed to update to 2.1 lol but I thought Sprint would send updates out.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe "USB Connected" notification stays on after the USB is disconnected, there's no way to evict it other than a reboot but now will reboot only if USB is reconnected to PC or Charger.I was so pleased by my new Galaxy S cell 3 days ago after a week of exploring and managing to get the best carrier and plan for this bright Samsung Smartphone. Then, the day after it lockup, but removing the battery for few seconds then replacing it back fixed that problem for that day. The following day been great too up the second lockup at night and this time, removing temporarily the battery did not permit to have the cell working anymore.So today I have been trying all day to determine under what condition these lockups occur. During those tests, I've first determined that during charging or during USB PC connection, I could repower up the Galaxy S. Then the cell could work for long period of time if connected to USB PC or power supply, but when I remove the USB cable, the firmware fail to detect that there is no more USB connection and start to flash every couple of seconds the message "USB connected" replacing the status bar at the top of the screen.
Then after several minutes, the cell freeze, and only by removing for few seconds the battery and then plugging the charger again, will permit to successfully power up the phone.I have of course made a Hard Reset to Factory Default, to no avail, during those tests. I think it's a hardware malfunctioning around the USB Port section. The connector look good seen with loop and both USB cable seem ok.If it's corrected by an update, I wonder if I'll be able to re-flash under this condition.
When I uninstall apps. (I've tried both the settings menu and the app market) my available memory stays the same. I can't seem to get any more memory. Are the apps somehow staying on there? It doesn't show them at all, or is it a glitch in the phone? I running the original OS.

When I plug my phone in to charge, once it reaches full charge, I'm used to seeing the screen come on for a few seconds showing "Fully Charged." But since the update, the screen never turns back off. I can plug it in overnight, and in the morning, the screen is on, sitting there displaying "Fully Charged."

2.pandora sounds messed up. All other music apps soumd fine but the bass is messed up coming through headphones or a stereo.

I've noticed that since updating to CL14 my screen will stay on after the phone is done charging. So I will put it on the charger when I go to bed and every time when I wake up in the morning or in the middle of the night the screen is on.
