How's it going fellow Vibrant owners? I'm new here, been lurking for awhile and decided to register to ask some questions and help out others. My question; is this usb cable the same as the one provided with the vibrant? Amazon.com: Samsung Replacement USB Data Charging Cable for Samsung SPH-M330, SCH-R100, SGH-T939, SCH-R850: Cell Phones & Service looks identical, but anyone have input? or atleast anywhere thats cheap? I'd like to order from Amazon so I can do a group my order for a screen protector for those curious:

Is there any way that I can create backups for the vibrant that work without installing and reinstalling the voodoo lag fix everytime? I know that clockwork recovery doesn't work with voodoo installed, and messes up my phone if I try it.

So i tried downloading it by the 2 methods they gave me and both times it gives me a message ur phone is not acceptable at this time even though its on front page saying it is?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this is TouchWiz/OEM software getting in the way, or a limitation of Android 2.1, or what. But when I try to upload a video I've taken, it's forcing me to upload using WiFi. My 3G connection is not too bad (approx. 75 kilobytes/sec), so I wouldn't mind waiting a couple minutes for a video to upload, versus buying a WiFi AP for home, setting it up, taking up space and electricity, etc.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter struggling along with everyone else with my GPS, I finally got the OTA update a little over a week ago. After updating, GPS seemed to be working better (not perfectly, but better). Then yesterday out of the blue it completely ceased to work. It stays permanently "searching for GPS".
Before getting the update I did use the LBSTestMode work around, but am now unable to access the settings in the same way I did before to reset to original settings...perhaps it is the workaround settings causing the problem now? (And without GPS that could become literal at any moment!)
I've tried a few but all of them had to stretch or resize in some way or another. I was wondering if there was a great piece of software out there that could optimize video for this lovely screen. I heard samsung was in the process of making one for its "itunes" program but nothing else besides that.

Overall the video quality is excellent but sometimes when I'm doing indoor shooting, the video has an orange color overlay. Occasionally this will correct itself to a nice natural color part way through the video. I was wondering if this might be due to some automatic color adjustment that I'm not aware of. Has anyone else run into a similar issue?
The HD videos from the phone play very poorly (slow, jerky) on every media player I've tried on my Windows XP computer including VLC and WMP with updated codecs. Converting the .3gp files to .mpg or .wmv format produces a low quality video.
I tried to download animated wallpapers online from myxer.com and it shows animated once downloaded but when i set it as my wallpaper, its no longer animated, just looks like a basic wallpaper. Any1 know how to make this work?

One video more than two minutes long can't be sent.(too big to attach is the message) Can anyone help me with this? And I really am curious about the USB cord.
View 17 Replies View RelatedSo I recorded some videos yesterday, assuming it would record in 720p by default. However when uploading to YouTube, it would only allow up to 480, not giving the option of 720p playback.
Well today, I noticed different resolutions. Is 1280x720 the 720p resolution? If so, then I may have figured it out myself.
Deleting shortcuts on the application pages doesn't seem to work.
I press the shortcut icon I want to delete, hold, wait for the vibration, drag to the garbage icon, and release. When I go back to the application page the shortcut icon is still there.
This technique works perfectly on the home pages, just not on the application pages.
Trying to determine how to upload / download via USB cord. Are both possible? Can someone explain how to upload video from the phone to computer if this is possible?

I have two photograph widgets on one of my screens, one set up for newly taken pictures and one set up for newly shot video. The only problem is, I don't know how to change the default video save location. I am using the astro file manager and have seen that all videos and pictures save into a file named DCIM on my SD card. How do I change this to make it save pictures and videos into different files?I have made a different file for my videos and manually moved them into the folder but the phone is still saving new videos to the same old default place.
