I have the camera resolution set to superfine(5mp) and it takes really good pics.However,when I transfer them to my laptop and try to view them with the windows photo viewer they aren't anywhere near the resolution I took them in.Is there something I did or not doing ?,I took a 5mp Pic,transferred it to my pc and it showed up at less than 15kb in size when it should have been like 2-3 megs.

How do I transfer photos shot and stored in the phone gallery to the sd card? I don't see any where to have them saved directly to the card when shooting either.
View 7 Replies View RelatedAfter looking at the photos thread I gave the panoramic setting on the stock camera app a try. It's really cool but I hate the fact that it is limited to 640x480 segments. Is there a way to bump up the resolution in panorama mode? If not are there any camera apps that will take high res panoramas using the same method that the stock app uses?

How can I get all of my apps onto her phone? If I put my sim card in hers and sync w/ Appbrain will it install all of the apps I have on mine? If I put her sim card in my old Captivate and sync her Appbrain account will that erase my old apps and install hers?
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust got it last night at ATT b&m (for $149!!) and yes (as my lovely wife can attest) I was captivated for many an hour. Battery cycling. Overall VERY good despite the posts I've read. Very intuitive UI but I could see where some mods would be sweet. EXCELLENT GPS performance; 15-30 sec fixes INDOORS with 5-10m accuracy w/out WiFi. My BJII was never this good. Excellent You Tube performance WITH HQ playback. 8GB SDHC works flawlessly, My only suck is phone contacts transfer from WM6. BTW - bod was 7/22/10. Now on to the Market, sideloading and may be root.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen my car bluetooth downloads the phonebook from my captivate, it downloads some contacts, but doesn't download the ones from my exchange server. They show up fine in the contacts app, but the car doesn't receive them. I thought it might be an issue with the way they were put into the contacts, so I undid the built in android exchange account, deleted the contacts, then installed touchdown and populated it that way. Still no joy. I thought that originally it was downloading them correctly (using the built in exchange sync) but either stopped working correctly, or never was and I just now noticed it.

I've tried a lot of things and every one of them just transfers over the songs from the playlist and not the actual playlist. I really like the Music Player Samsung has and I want to use that one, but nothing seems to transfer playlists to it. I've tried doubletwist (only transfers the music, not the playlists), iTunes agent, (same) dazzboard (doesn't work at all), and songbird (so buggy and slow, impossible to use... gave up) There has to be some way to get that player to work with iTunes or to import everything from iTunes and use it with the Samsung Music Player.

I am building an app that can transfer a photo and bundle data to another persons phone that has the app.
The person would be close by, basically face to face.
In a perfect world I would like the process of file transfer to be less than 3 steps but I think that would be too much to ask for.
I am trying to figure out ways to do it but I keep coming up with blanks for every way I was thinking.
1. Bluetooth (Easier to code, more steps for the user)
2. NFC (How to implement and test)
3. Wifi Direct (Still has steps but less than Bluetooth, just learned about it today so I am new to it)
4. Connect to a Server (Make a server and connect devices)
5. HTTP (Make a temporary server on your phone?)
I've done a brief search on how to transfer my photos from galaxy s3 to kindle fire hd without the use of a pc, but I can't find any decent info on the subject. Surely it can be done as they are both android devices.

The problem is that if I tell Eclipse to compile for 1.5, it refuses to accept this. It reports an error (targetSdkVersion is an unknown tag) and refuses to compile or run. If I tell it to compile for 1.6 it works fine, of course. But if I then try to install on a 1.5 AVD, the program immediately crashes with a java.lang.VerifyError. I'm clearly missing something simple. How do I get it to compile an apk that works under 1.5, but still includes the targetSdkVersion tag?
How do I convert phone resolution Bootanimation to tablet resolution?
I have 4 boot animations that I want to convert to work on my Nexus 10 full screen.
Also, how to be able to edit [URL] to show 10 instead of 4 or completly remove the number so it works nicely on both my Nexus 4 and Nexus 10.
It won't let me select 5 MP resolution. All I'm seeing is VGA and WVGA. I'm using single shot on the back camera.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter using both the EVO and SGS for weeks, I find the SGS inferior to the EVO in very few ways. The most major one that it being a 3G phone, the Internet speed is of course slower than the EVO's (I have 4G in my area, Los Angeles). I enjoy watch Youtube and SprintTV on the EVO as both the resolution and streaming experience very good, however after watch the low res Youtube on the SGS a few times, I can't make myself watch it under 3G anymore (wifi is better but still not as good as EVO on 4G). But since we can consistently get over 1 meg on 3G, why can't the SGS do better in Youtube video playback? Is there any program that can trick the phone in thinking it is on wifi and playback in higher resolution?

I want an app that will resize the photo to a lower resolution (640 X 480) so that the file size is small enough to send it easily through email (over GPRS conn). Can someone recommend a app that can do this, preferably free? Right now, I transfer the pics to my PC & use Picasa to export the photos with a lower resolution.

Is there any way, whether through a particular media player app or just some special method, to get videos with 720x480 resolution to play on the Moment or is that something that just simply can't be done? I have lots of videos that came already formatted that way and would hate to have to convert them all to play on it.
