I've done a brief search on how to transfer my photos from galaxy s3 to kindle fire hd without the use of a pc, but I can't find any decent info on the subject. Surely it can be done as they are both android devices.

I'm trying to root my kindle fire hd (version 7.4.8).Every time i use Kindle Fire First Aide on the command prompt it says that i have a system path not specified error.My laptop operating system is windows 8 ( I have not upgraded yet to latest version so I don't know if that's the problem).Steps I Used
1. Download KFFA
2. Opened KFFA using cmd
3. Used option 21 : Alternative root: newer devices
4. Says system path is not specified
5. It starts a daemon but thats all it does
I'm not sure but it also looks like i have a adb problem.I turned on the ADB with usb and used the adb drivers in KFFA but it never works
after trying the root kindle fire 6.3.1 as described here [URL] i lost my kindle fire. its not recognizable anymore. there are only words on screen "kindle fire" and i can turn it properly on. now the device is recognizable under the name lab126 kindle. but windows or mac dont see the device at all. windows write that usb debice cannot be identified properly. what i can do now? .. the root software doesnt see the device as well.

After installing the USBWOOT.zip by using TWRP, i hit the reboot system, but my kindlefire can not boot with newly installed android os. my kindlefire continue to get in TWRP again and again. I checked boot file on my kindlefire by using android-sdk-linux, but there is nothing in it.
How can i boot my kindlefire again? I think that installing icecream sandwitch is the last resort to use my kindlefire, because amazon does not offer os recover instractions and files.
I got tired of the kindle fire OS, and really loved my nexus 7, so I decided to flash it to twrp and cyanogen. So following the directions on the youtube video, (can't link it) which was an awesome tutoral, I flashed it. Now the issue I'm having is that Cyanogen will start to boot, get to a screen that says 'problems loading widget', then reboot, and doesn't stop.

To get the apk file use root explorer. (note: needs root) Go to system, then apps, then copy the app named browser. Then upload it here or something like dropbox and post the link here.

I have a few apps on my phone that allow me to choose a photo and then do something with it, e.g. editing. When I try to choose a photo, I used to get two options: 1) choose from Dropbox and 2) choose from Gallery. But at one point, I chose a photo from the Gallery and also checked the "default" checkbox. Since then, whenever I try to choose a photo, I don't see the two options anymore, it always takes me directly to the Gallery.
When I checked the "default" checkbox, I had assumed that there must have been a setting somewhere that would allow me to undo what I've done so that the Gallery would no longer be the default option and when choosing a photo, I would still get to see two options: Dropbox and Gallery. But I searched all the places I could think of and still couldn't find such setting. Where such setting is?
The phone I use is Samsung Galaxy S4 and the OS version is Android 4.2.2.
I've been reading a few old posts about a problem I've been having when taking photos with my new phone(in title).
When i take a picture holding the phone vertically it comes out sideways, but only when i E-mail it or upload it somewhere.
The general consensus i got from reading older posts were, that you have to hold the PHONE(not actually a real standalone camera) sideways to take the photo in its proper angle. So my question is... is this correct? Is this actually true?
Now had i known this previously to taking dozens of photos, i would still be pissed off! It's ridiculous if this is true.. i mean first of all why can't i have the option to take it vertically for an up right photo.. secondly, why when you open your camera to take a photo doesn't the initial screen appear sideways as to identify the standard operation of taking a photo with the phone, And thirdly, why display the photos in the gallery in the vertical position when taken vertically, shouldn't it be displayed sideways then??
It's a phone, not a stand alone camera.. phones are generally held in the upright vertical position at most times.. it makes sense you should also to be able to take a vertical photo with out having to rotate it sideways.
When i view my photos in the gallery that i had previously taken in the vertical position, they appearing vertical... not sideways!! Why not display it sideways, as it's meant to appear in the true form..... Okay..now.., when i E-mail a photo taken vertically to someone, on the photo icon in their email it appears normal and upright, but when you view it or download the photo it comes out sideways, right.. but then when i try to correct those photos in the gallery on my phone by rotating them to the right so it should appear normal when someone views or downloads it, it appears again sideways but in the opposite direction, as if I've taken the photo properly in the "Camera" position to appear normal, but it appears rotated it to the right... again not in the upright position.
How do I transfer photos shot and stored in the phone gallery to the sd card? I don't see any where to have them saved directly to the card when shooting either.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have the camera resolution set to superfine(5mp) and it takes really good pics.However,when I transfer them to my laptop and try to view them with the windows photo viewer they aren't anywhere near the resolution I took them in.Is there something I did or not doing ?,I took a 5mp Pic,transferred it to my pc and it showed up at less than 15kb in size when it should have been like 2-3 megs.

The person would be close by, basically face to face.
In a perfect world I would like the process of file transfer to be less than 3 steps but I think that would be too much to ask for.
I am trying to figure out ways to do it but I keep coming up with blanks for every way I was thinking.
1. Bluetooth (Easier to code, more steps for the user)
2. NFC (How to implement and test)
3. Wifi Direct (Still has steps but less than Bluetooth, just learned about it today so I am new to it)
4. Connect to a Server (Make a server and connect devices)
5. HTTP (Make a temporary server on your phone?)
Some of the contacts are saved in the phone and I don't know how to transfer them.

How to simply send all my data across directly from my phone to the laptop. I also dont have a spare samsung lying about for the motherboard switch.

However I wasn't due for an upgrade until December, so I couldn't get an iPhone 5 as soon as it was released... as fortune would have it, I found an ad on Craigslist where a fella was trading his Galaxy S3 straight up for a "iPhone 4 or 5". I would like to be able to edit my videos using iMovie on the iPad, but I'm not quite sure how I can get the video moved over. I'd rather not have to lug my MacBook Pro across the country with me.
Can I use the SD card adapter for the iPad to pull video off of my S3's Micro SD? Or will it see the correct folder?
I thought about Dropbox, but can't find a way to move the video from Dropbox into iMovie. (grr iOS)
some of my albums are syncing (my main pictures album), but my screenshots are not. How can I fix it so my screenshots also sync to Google+ or at least to google drive? Note that my phone is not rooted

I called to Samsung support in finland and they said that i have to format the sd card and after that you can transfer some very few applicatoins to sd card but however i have not managed to transfer even one application. I have tried app2sd and searched around the internet in order to find some way to transfer apps to sd card. I found from youtube some kind of way, but there was like downloading some program to computer and then connecting the sd card and phone separately to computer and then giving some commands to computer and copy and cut and clicking thousands folders and some more stuff i didnt really understand the whole thing was really complicated. I am starting to be really frustrated for this problem or whatever it is, its just stupid to even put this kind of faulty "function" to any kind of smart phone. I also want to have the game apps, music, and photos on my laptop without having to move the SD card around. I have changed the storage location when I take pictures to the SD card.
