HTC EVO 4G : Way Of Ordering Online From Best Buy?
Jun 7, 2010I'm a Pre user that is in envy of everyone that has an EVO. I will likely get the phone in the coming weeks and plan to go through Best Buy so I can avoid the $100 mail-in rebate plus i have some rewards zone certificates to apply towards it. Unfortunately Best Buy in Utah does not carry Sprint phones, but of course I can order online.
Has anyone ordered online from Best Buy? How was the experience? How long does shipping take? Please update me as you get your EVO's from Best Buy online.

However, I do not see where it offers me the option to "upgrade" as I am going to be using my NE2 $100 credit. Towards the end of the online purchase it only asks me if I would like a new number or if I am transferring from another service. What am I doing wrong?

I've seen like 5 completed syncs in the log, out of prolly 30 total attempts. Either way, i cant log in to check the contacts online. I get this:

And from my understanding that you can send a doc. or a pic to your wireless printer from any where. So I see that there is a android app call HP Iprint photo will it work on android 2.1 and when the official 2.2 come out will it work as will and can it do what the Iphone can do or will there be something better.

Aug 27, 2010I rooted my phone with the one click app, side loaded the wireless tether app in and it works fine for tethering. The problem is when I choose to stop tethering the app says it's in an unknown state and to restart my phone.
Tethering still works fine but when I click stop tethering I can still see the beacon name on my client device. Also when I try and force stop it, I can't, it's still running. The only way to really kill it is to reboot the phone.
If I am not giving enough info I apologize and will give more if needed.

Jul 22, 2010My university, VT uses two wireless connection, one is manual login and other is auto login Enterprise Network. This is what my university describe about it
"An automatic wireless authentication method using the IEEE 802.1x standard is available. Once configured, there will be no need to manually authenticate with each access to the Virginia Tech wireless network."
This network requires a certificate to be installed on machine. As of now they have support for Windows PCs, MACs and iPhones. Is there any way I can access this wireless network through my Android based phone?

Android :: How To Implement UI For Re-ordering List?
Feb 18, 2010I have an Android app where users can add items to a ListView, and I'd like them to be able to re-order the items in the list however they want (as opposed to just offering them different sort orders). It's easy enough to add a position setting for the items (they come from the DB) but what kind of UI elements are available for the user to indicate the desired ordering? Is there a pattern anyone has seen implemented for this? I have not seen anything on Android that does anything like this, except the home screen which is similar but looks a little bit beyond my expertise at this point. The best I can think of is to use a long click and context menu to "move up" or "move down". Any better ideas?

Does that mean you have 30 days from April 19 to return the phone, or 30 days from the date it was shipped, or 30 days from the date you received it? Anybody know? Also, does Verizon actually have to have received the phone within 30 days for it to count as a valid return, or do you merely have to have shipped it back to Verizon within 30 days (and perhaps they receive it 31 or 32 days after purchase)?

What I would like, is to have the 3 blue boxes top aligned in their view, and then I'd like to have the red box centered underneath the blue boxes, but so that when I animate the red box up, it slides underneath the blue box.
I have tried placing the blue and red boxes in different layouts, but as soon as I animate the red box up, if it goes outside the border of its layout, it disappears (I don't want the red box's layout to clip the red box, I want the red box to slide under the blue box so that the blue box occludes the red box.)
I have also managed to create this layout using a series of nested layouts, but because of the draw order, the red box always appears on top of the blue box. I attempted to use the bringToFront() method, but I found out that this only works on sibling views within the same layout. Unfortunately I can't get this type of layout while keeping all 4 views within the same layout. Any suggestions? (also, if anyone has better suggestions for the title of this question I'm all ears)

I always run into the same problem though. wired or wireless, i cant get it to connect right. wired never works in any way but i dont really care about that. wireless however shows some signs of working. it shows some data has been sent, not received though. and my computer will detect and connect to it, but seems to lose the signal after a few moments. when i bring up a browser it doesnt even look like something might load. it just says im offline. could someone help me with this?
The other part of this problem is i really just want to connect to my computers ad hoc network and use a wireless keyboard and mouse program. none of them seem that great unfortunately.. recommendations are appreciated. but my biggest issue is that i cant seem to connect to an ad hoc network. i believe my phone detected it only once while i was on the "white widow" rom, but could never quite connect..
