I have always purchased phones in the store. However to take advantage of the $30 promo code I am trying to order online. However, I do not see where it offers me the option to "upgrade" as I am going to be using my NE2 $100 credit. Towards the end of the online purchase it only asks me if I would like a new number or if I am transferring from another service. What am I doing wrong?

I'm a Pre user that is in envy of everyone that has an EVO. I will likely get the phone in the coming weeks and plan to go through Best Buy so I can avoid the $100 mail-in rebate plus i have some rewards zone certificates to apply towards it. Unfortunately Best Buy in Utah does not carry Sprint phones, but of course I can order online.
Has anyone ordered online from Best Buy? How was the experience? How long does shipping take? Please update me as you get your EVO's from Best Buy online.

View 30 Replies View RelatedI was going through the process this morning of pre-ordering my Inc.I am switching from T-Mobile so I am signing up for a new 2-year plan.On the checkout page it is showing a one-time activation fee of $35.Am I wrong, but I swear there used to be free-activation Monday-Friday online.I can't find that promo on their web site anymore.Did anyone else have to pay this fee?Perhaps they are suspending the promo during the Incredible launch?

Does that mean you have 30 days from April 19 to return the phone, or 30 days from the date it was shipped, or 30 days from the date you received it? Anybody know? Also, does Verizon actually have to have received the phone within 30 days for it to count as a valid return, or do you merely have to have shipped it back to Verizon within 30 days (and perhaps they receive it 31 or 32 days after purchase)?

I signed out from hangouts from my phone, it does sign me out from gtalk, but after sometime i guess some application is running and changing it to "online" again.
I have an Android app where users can add items to a ListView, and I'd like them to be able to re-order the items in the list however they want (as opposed to just offering them different sort orders). It's easy enough to add a position setting for the items (they come from the DB) but what kind of UI elements are available for the user to indicate the desired ordering? Is there a pattern anyone has seen implemented for this? I have not seen anything on Android that does anything like this, except the home screen which is similar but looks a little bit beyond my expertise at this point. The best I can think of is to use a long click and context menu to "move up" or "move down". Any better ideas?

I know there is a method called removeAllViews() but I don't really want to remove and re-create the views if its possible to access and change the order. I really want the display to update as smoothly as possible, taking the minimum amount of time, is it possible?

Just ordered a VZW Incredible today waiting a few weeks for it to come. In the meantime, is there somewhere online I can see it demoed? I'm an iphone swicher, and am used to Apple's posh snazzy videos showing me how to do stuff. Anything similar for the Incredible? Looking forward to being a part of the Android community, and being able to make and receive phone calls (as opposed to now on my phone).

I've had 3 online chats and have received different answers each time. In my last chat, they told me every possible answer, yes, no, depends, doesn't depend, what the website says, not what the website says.I tried to order earlier today, and I thought on the checkout screen it said free activation.Not sure whats changed. Now when I try it lists a $35 activation fee. But on the left of the screen is a box that says free activation, Friday-Monday, will be credited on 1st or 2nd bill.Things I changed was logging in through my university website (discount), and trying a 1yr commitment.I've been told several times that the free activation is only on a 2yr commitment. But I don't see it say that anywhere online.This whole process is not inspiring confidence in Verizon. I cannot get an answer to a simple question about the supposed free activation. They make the rules overly complex and keep changing them. They reps are clueless. Reminds me too much of Sprint.

What I would like, is to have the 3 blue boxes top aligned in their view, and then I'd like to have the red box centered underneath the blue boxes, but so that when I animate the red box up, it slides underneath the blue box.
I have tried placing the blue and red boxes in different layouts, but as soon as I animate the red box up, if it goes outside the border of its layout, it disappears (I don't want the red box's layout to clip the red box, I want the red box to slide under the blue box so that the blue box occludes the red box.)
I have also managed to create this layout using a series of nested layouts, but because of the draw order, the red box always appears on top of the blue box. I attempted to use the bringToFront() method, but I found out that this only works on sibling views within the same layout. Unfortunately I can't get this type of layout while keeping all 4 views within the same layout. Any suggestions? (also, if anyone has better suggestions for the title of this question I'm all ears)
Okay, I've tried everything. nothing is running in the background evidently but the awake time and the up time are the same. After i turned my phone off, and then turned it back on, they were the same. I've tried a task killer, the system panel, and I've tried turning it back off, and on, but nothing happened. I need help?! How do i fix this?

I received a letter from Verizon a month ago offering me an extra $50 credit for my NE2 upgrade to make a total of $150 - the catch was the offer expired April 15. Right then I knew the Incredible would be released after 4/15!
My question is - is there any hope of convincing vzw online sales or a store to extend the expiration date of the credit? I asked one online sales person and they said "no we can't do that for an online sale, but call a store, and they might be able to". So I called a store and they said "no when it comes in we won't be able to do that, but maybe online sales can". So is this a futile attempt? Should I wait until they are in stores on 4/29 and go in and talk to a manager? Or give up and pre-order now?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been an Incredible user since the day it came out, and on a scale of 1-10 of familiarity with the phone, i consider myself pretty close to a 10 i know the phone backwards and forwards.Here's the problem - I have an Exchange Activesync and GMAIL account set up on the phone.I tried sending a calendar invite to my GMAIL account this morning, and noticed that the time was showing up as being 1hr off. i.e - in my calendar the event showed at 8:00AM, but in the Gmail calendar entry request it showed 7:00AM.So i checked my time zone in Settings >> Date and Time. It's set to "automatic", yet the time zone is set to GMT -5:00, which is incorrect, since i'm smack-bam the middle of Texas, and am fairly sure i'm in the Central time zone, whereas -5:00 GMT is Eastern Time

I turn my phone off every night (more or less to get that extra charge and not having to waste time turning it off) and she rarely turns hers off. Yesterday her up time was 165 hours whereas mine is usually about 16 tops. She has had more issues with her phone that a simple restart has fixed also.So what about you guys? What is your up time currently?

For some reason the GPS in my phone keeps thinking I am in Xuzhou, I think somewhere in China, which wouldnt be so bad but my phones time switches accordingly. This gets to be pretty annoying as it has almost made me late for work a few times. Just wondered if anyone else is having this problem and if it could be tied back to a certain app?
