When you start your nexus without a SD card inserted and start the camera, what does happen? Does the camera start and you can see but can't capture, or doesn't start at all and crashes?

I received a new N1 after I swapped over by warranty but I don't remember is the camera flash was working on this new one before I put Desire and Cyanogenmod and on both the camera flash doesn't work, installed FlashApp and a couple of other apps that manipulates the flash but it still doesn't turns on.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't know if any of you guys are having this problem, but i hear a really annoying rattle around the camera area of the phone. every time i set my phone down somewhere i hear a rattle, and it is very annoying. i wanted to know where it was coming from so i shook the phone next to my ear, it is definitely coming from the camera area. anyone else having this problem? is there an easy fix?

I am not new to android: i have had the G1 which i did not root, the T-Mobile pulse, which i rooted and the HTC Legend and now the Nexus one.
Some questions?
With the legend i am am awhere of the Sence UI ? i liked how facebook contacts synced to my phone and when i rang i saw there display pictures, does the Nexus one do this?
SMS, is there a similar app to the legend, where you see threaded messages with a picture of there facebook dp?
I can't hear the phone when it rings, its so quiet, the volume is on max, is there anyway to increase this?

My nexus one phone crashed a week ago, I reseted the factory settings, and since then I can't find the power control system(wifi, gps, Bluetooth and screen brightness) widget which I had on my home page when I first bought the phone.

View 10 Replies View RelatedJust upgraded nexus 5 to 4.4.2and the flash control is greyed out even with HDR+ deselected. I tested the flash by sheilding light with my hand and it works (on auto) just greyed out cant change from auto to manual. Pretty ordinary if you ask me. would like to force flash on on occasion.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI got a problem with my wifi and bluetooth. I bought the nexus one off of someone. The nexus one is rooted with modaco rom and when I went to try to use wifi, it didnt work and when i tried to use bluetooth, it didnt work too. So i thought to myself. The guy who rooted this phone must of did some wrong for me not to have wifi or bluetooth. So I thought it was the rom, so I rooted it back to stock shipping rom. The bluetooth and wifi button on the home screen turn on (like a dark green and it never turns bright green like all the other buttons-well bluetooth turns dark green and then goes back to black and wifi turn dark green and stays like that until i click on it again to shut it off)before that when the Modaco rom was in. The wifi dark green would just stay dark and u can't turn it off and the wifi did the same-turn on and turn back to black. I was wondering what could be wrong. I talked to a google tech and asked him if it could be the hardware and he says the wifi and bluetooth are two different chips and its odd and rare that both would go. So i'm thinking I missing something when I rooted the phone back to stock. I rooted the system.img userdata.img, boot.img and recovery.img. I was wondering does the radio.img have to do anything with it(cause i didnt root that). Will that give me my wifi and bluetooth back. Please help and sorry for long story. Have to make it clear for everyone to understand.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI am using Goggle's Nexus One with Android 2.2 installed on it. The device is rooted. I have always been using the "quick boot" application with no issues. Recently (about a week), it stopped working. By "stopped working" I mean that it runs, shown the menu to choose boot method from and when I choose one of the options - nothing happens. I tried choosing multiple times, and still no go. I purchased the "hot reboot" app, thinking it might be a problem with the app, and it doesn't work as well. I installed "busybox" and it told me that my device is rooted but it did not manage to install. It is probably a permissions issue. The "superuser" app seems to work, because when I run it it shows me that "set cpu" gets a root access. I tried going back to backups as long as 6 months ago, but it still did not work.

It went off for monday and ever since then, I just woke up late for my classes because it doesn't go off. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if there is a fix for it? I mean the right alarm time even shows up when I hit the lock screen but it doesn't actually go off

When I was using the S3, I just inserted my SIM card and I was good to go. I like to use the Speedtest app when I'm out and about to see what speeds I'm getting, and the app worked just fine on the S3.
Last week, I got the LG Nexus 4 and inserted the SIM card and was also up and running. However, the Speedtest app does not work out in the field. It works just fine on my WiFi network but, when I try it outside, it just gives a large ping number and then does nothing. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the Speedtest app, but still nothing.
I just bought a Nexus 4 and I'd like to activate it on Metro PCS. I inserted the sim card thinking it would work but it doesn't. I read on various sites that it does work since Metro PCS is on T-Mobiles network. So how do i set up so it can work to make calls and stuff?
