View 2 RepliesI can't seem to focus on anything closer than 4 inches, even if there's nothing behind it. Touch-focus isn't helping either. Is there a macro mode?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI know I just must be over looking it but I can't find a macro setting on Vignette camera. Is it called something else? I thought maybe it just did it automatically but the pics I have tried to take close up were nothing like the stock macro on the X. I'm sure its user error because this app has everything but I can't figure it out.
View 13 Replies View RelatedDroid Incredible 2.2 no root default camera app user. When I tap to focus on the camera and am really close to something it goes from blurry to sharp and then blurry at the last second (when it snaps the picture) I took this video to demonstrate what I mean. Is there any way to take a picture like this? Or to manually focus with the stock camera app? Or an app that will help me take good quality macro pics of coins, pins, etc. I will pay for an app. I saw posts with the macro camera lens but I have no desire to glue a metal washer onto my camera lens.

I received a new N1 after I swapped over by warranty but I don't remember is the camera flash was working on this new one before I put Desire and Cyanogenmod and on both the camera flash doesn't work, installed FlashApp and a couple of other apps that manipulates the flash but it still doesn't turns on.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm fairly new to the android platform but I'm getting the hang of it by the minute.I've previously owned a blackberry pearl, nokia e71, nokia n97.I've also used the Iphone 3gs, palm treo 500, samsung blackjack, htc tilt, nokia n95.From a wide range of smartphones, I must say, android is by far the fastest (when it comes to booting up, loading apps, viewing pages and maps, and just about everything else). The display is very crisp too. I am using the new google phone that is supposedly coming out next month in case you guys are wondering. Feature-wise, its lacking some of the essentials of a stock smart phone.but the Market is where you go to fill that void.So far, I haven't had any luck finding an app that will make my phone in discoverable mode all the time. There's a limit under your bluetooth settings of 106 seconds or so, but I would prefer it if there was no limit.Suggestions anyone?
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Nexus S has been on safe mode on and off for a few months now. It is on safe mode because the volume down button is not working. I say safe mode is on and off because when the volume down button does happen to work, I restart my phone, and safe mode would go away. However, the volume down button would only work for a few minutes so I have to be very quick in rebooting. But safe mode would come back on if I need to reboot it again (phone freezes, etc). It would go back to safe mode because when I need to reboot it again, the volume down button doesn't work.
However, the volume down button is not working completely now and its been like this for like 2 months. I thought my phone would be always on safe mode now. But my phone has rebooted itself twice randomly (never happened before) and on its own and my phone would come out of safe mode, despite the fact that the volume button doesn't work at all. I can't just randomly wait for this random reboot to occur cause it can come at any time, sometimes even weeks. I just had to to restart my phone manually because my phone froze and it's back on safe mode. I was wondering how to make the phone randomly reboot itself on its own.
I just rooted my Nexus S and it was successful.
However, now when I try to install Cyanogenmod I can't get into recovery?? When I go into bootloader, at the bottom it says "Fastboot Status - FAILInvailed Command". And when I click on Recovery, the Google logo shows up with an unlocked image below it. It flashes a few times and then reboots the phone regularly.
I am trying to use Camera to take picture and to video recording but it always runs in portrait mode. Even if I tried to sreenOrientatiton="landscape" it solved screen appearance but when I take photo and capture video they are still saved rotated 90 degrees.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to start the device normally it gets stuck on the loading screen with the animation.
I go into that bootloader mode and try to restore it to wipe/restore it to factory settings but I get this: [URL] .....
I must have done something wrong when trying to root the phone...what I've done and why wiping the data isn't working.
If you want to zoom in and zoom out when in camera mode, just use your volume rocker up/down to zoom in and out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use the camera in an Android app using the 1.5 API. I want the camera to flash for every picture. However, when I looked at the API for camera.parameters, the setFlashMode() method is only supported for 2.0 and higher. Yet my Cliq XT, which runs 1.5, has a flash that I can set in the menu - I take this to mean there is a way to do this for the 1.5 API, though I was unable to find it.Does anyone know how to set the flash mode using the 1.5 API?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am not able to see the "Camera" mode in Google Translate app on my SGS2.I was trying to take a picture and convert text from the image in google translate but I don't see the camera option anywhere within Google Translate.
how I can do this or how can I translate text from images in Google Translate? I've posted a similar request in Android Central too but haven't heard anything back in terms of a solution.
this is normal or my replaced phone is another defective one.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI tried to root my Nexus 4, and well I'm not too sure if it is rooted but after unlocking the bootloader and wiping the data, I got it to boot back up and then since then when I turn it off and try and go into recovery mode it has a dead android with a red triangle and says "No command." I can use the phone normally but it just wont let me get into recovery mode.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have tried holding down the volume buttons and power button several times the past three days and nothing. The device vibrates and nothing happens. If I continue to hold the buttons then it vibrates every 6-7 seconds. I also tried to get into fastboot using a toolkit in our development section with no luck. The toolkit says I'm in fastboot when connected, but nothing is on my screen.
At this point I am at a complete loss. If I can't get it to work is that a valid reason for replacement by Google?
I try to install the kitkat 4.4 on my nexus 4 and now i stuck on recovery mode.
i see this:
fastboot mode
product_name - mako
variant - mako 16gb
hw version - rev_11
bootloader version - makoz20i
signing - production
secure boot - enabled
lock state - unlocked
what can i do ? can i fix it ?
When do you expect it to get fixed? I am a developer working on http://layar.eu and I had to go through lot of trouble to get the app working in portrait mode with camera preview, using a LOT of rotations. I have managed to get everything rotated to portrait except for the on screen inputmethod which still shows up in landscape. Do you have any suggestions for rotating that?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI want to use this phone as a digital camera replacement. However when I turn on tehcamera, the power button turns into a "lock" button. There's no way to turn off the screen. So first I have to hit the home key. Then it takes about 8 seconds for the camera to disable before it returns to the home screen.Only then can I shut the phone using the power key. Then if I want to use the camera,I have to turn on the screen and relaunch the camera app. This feels completely wrong to me and makes it hard to use as a pure digital camera.

On my other phone, a samsung galaxy s3 from verizon with android 4.3, there is a "driving mode". I thought it was a true android capability, but could it be a samsung feature instead ?In any case how do I get the Nexus 5 with Android 4.4 to do the same ? can I get it to do it using an NFC tag...
Has any body noticed that when you switch into or out of camera mode there is a little clicking noise (sounds almost like static electricity)?
