Nexus :: Need Gv App Work Over Wifi?
Mar 23, 2010I thought gv worked over wifi? I'm Specifically trying to sms with just a wifi signal. Browsing to gv works fine. But the app doesn't. Is this how it's suppose to work?

Nexus :: WiFi And Bluetooth Don't Work - How To Fix?
Jun 7, 2010I got a problem with my wifi and bluetooth. I bought the nexus one off of someone. The nexus one is rooted with modaco rom and when I went to try to use wifi, it didnt work and when i tried to use bluetooth, it didnt work too. So i thought to myself. The guy who rooted this phone must of did some wrong for me not to have wifi or bluetooth. So I thought it was the rom, so I rooted it back to stock shipping rom. The bluetooth and wifi button on the home screen turn on (like a dark green and it never turns bright green like all the other buttons-well bluetooth turns dark green and then goes back to black and wifi turn dark green and stays like that until i click on it again to shut it off)before that when the Modaco rom was in. The wifi dark green would just stay dark and u can't turn it off and the wifi did the same-turn on and turn back to black. I was wondering what could be wrong. I talked to a google tech and asked him if it could be the hardware and he says the wifi and bluetooth are two different chips and its odd and rare that both would go. So i'm thinking I missing something when I rooted the phone back to stock. I rooted the system.img userdata.img, boot.img and recovery.img. I was wondering does the radio.img have to do anything with it(cause i didnt root that). Will that give me my wifi and bluetooth back. Please help and sorry for long story. Have to make it clear for everyone to understand.

Nov 4, 2010I am using Goggle's Nexus One with Android 2.2 installed on it. The device is rooted. I have always been using the "quick boot" application with no issues. Recently (about a week), it stopped working. By "stopped working" I mean that it runs, shown the menu to choose boot method from and when I choose one of the options - nothing happens. I tried choosing multiple times, and still no go. I purchased the "hot reboot" app, thinking it might be a problem with the app, and it doesn't work as well. I installed "busybox" and it told me that my device is rooted but it did not manage to install. It is probably a permissions issue. The "superuser" app seems to work, because when I run it it shows me that "set cpu" gets a root access. I tried going back to backups as long as 6 months ago, but it still did not work.

Jan 22, 2010Don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but my alarm doesn't seem to go off when I have it set to a specific schedule, like monday, wednesday, friday. It went off for monday and ever since then, I just woke up late for my classes because it doesn't go off. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if there is a fix for it? I mean the right alarm time even shows up when I hit the lock screen but it doesn't actually go off

When I was using the S3, I just inserted my SIM card and I was good to go. I like to use the Speedtest app when I'm out and about to see what speeds I'm getting, and the app worked just fine on the S3.
Last week, I got the LG Nexus 4 and inserted the SIM card and was also up and running. However, the Speedtest app does not work out in the field. It works just fine on my WiFi network but, when I try it outside, it just gives a large ping number and then does nothing. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the Speedtest app, but still nothing.

Oct 26, 2012Our home wifi router gives my wife and I perfect wifi speed & strength for both laptops, both i-touches & my iPad; however, bought my wife a Nexus 7 yesterday & it always states 'out of range' unless I am within 5 feet of the router (as this is upstairs in a spare room, this is not exactly ideal...)
I've seen elsewhere there are possible issues with the Nexus 7 & also the Kindle Fire HD (which is/was an alternative for my wife) & could be down to 5ghz or 2.4ghz transmission on the router?
Should the Nexus 7 go back in favour of a Kindle Fire HD (which boasts better wifi connectivity)?

Mar 13, 2013Well at schoolwifi seems to work finewell at least it used to it would connect perfectly now it connects and says athundicating or something like that ... I'm on a nexus 7 .. My iPod used to connect until the same thing happen ... My wifi just turned off and I though the schools was down but for then on I couldent connect... I'm guessing that they blocked me ... is their anyway to bypass this .... Note this is not a phone its a 7 inch tablet so I can't pull it out of my pocket and text lmao. I play games on spare time and research stuff at lunch or after school..

Jun 15, 2010Usually use 4g since it works great in my area, but now since i found out that wifi uses less battery i wanted to switch over to it. Now it wont connect. Ive restarted and pulled the battery out as well. It finds my network then try to connect and it wont. 3g stays on. The check mark is on for wifi but says disconnected. Reset my wireless modem and now its working. Disregard this unless others are having problems. Try resetting your wireless modem.

Pressing on the video does not do anything. Resolved with the onclick handler on the video tag. Is it possible to use html5 video in the android 2.1 browser at this time?
