HTC Desire :: Clicking Noise During Playback?
Oct 26, 2010During playback of music, video if I turn the volume right down there is a clicking noise. Tried different tracks and a couple of different players. It can also be heard between tracks. is this normal? You can't hear it when u turn the volume up though.

Nov 3, 2010I am thinking about switching to the evo from my epic I really like the epic but not liking the slider and earpiece on it. My question is I really like the little click noise it makes when you clicking on things when typing and in the menu does the Evo have this feature and I know it doesn't have swype is there anything comparable for the Evo seeing it doesnt have it?

Jan 11, 2010just wondering if this is normal or not, someone told me it is normal for the droid.for instance - when your on the home screen and you hold the camera button down, it'll make about 3-clicks when starting up. it also makes the clicking noise when it is focusing before taking the photo. the most noticable is when using an app like shopsavvy or barcode scanner are these apps supposed to be focusing back and forth non stop? and if so, is it 'normal' for that clicking noise to go non-stop while it is focusing back and forth?
Motorola Droid X :: Vibration Buzz Noise When Clicking Something
Oct 15, 2010on my droid x whenever the phone vibrates either when im clicking something, getting a text or a incoming call. the phone makes a buzz noise. also i noticed the phone does not vibrate as heavy as it should and is not as noticable when its in your pocket with the sound off. i used a droid 1 and a droid incredible in the past and both of those the vibration was quieter. so im wondering are everyones droid x like this or does mine just have a defective vibration mechanism or something?

However can someone tell me how to turn off the clicking noise when I press a letter? I like the vibrate to let me know that I touched it but could do without the Storm-esque click. There was one more but I forgot it at the moment.

It seems to have started since I did the software update but I did also drop the phone last night. Nov 19, 2009If you have your droid closed, and you press the down firmly where the search button is located does your droid make a clicking noise like its hitting the top of the keyboard? when i push the right side of the phone firmly it makes the noise and feels looser. is this because i took the plastic off the back of the keyboard?
if i want to exchange at best buy should i use their insurance? if i do exchange should i just tell them it reboots in case they dont want to replace because of this noise? Or is this noise/touching normal?

Sep 12, 2010I've started noticing a weird clicking noise after using the camera. After I take a picture and press the 'Home' button to exit the application, it makes the noise, which sounds like there's something loose or something. I'm just wondering if anyone's had this problem, and if it's actually anything to worry about. Also, the slider part of the phone is loose at the bottom, so when I push the buttons I'm actually pushing the screen down onto the keyboard, which is annoying. Is there any way to fix it? Also, I'm thinking that may be the reason for the clicking noise.

The noise is like the old time mobile phone noise that you use to get when a new call was about to ring. This noise zzz zzz zzz is coming out of any turned on devices that have speakers. I never had this problem with my iphone!

General :: U39GT - Weird Noise While Playing Through Main Speakers?
Jul 29, 2013It came with Android 4.2.2 , has an Cortex-A9 processor and Mali400 graphics card, 1920x1080 9" display and is generally really nice device.
I didnt expect the sound quality to be any good since it is just a handheld device but the quality is really awful and pretty much unlistenable. It makes weird noise while playing through the main speakers and when earphones pluggen in and listening to a song, the singer sound like he is singing underwater or I dont know.
General :: Clicking On Links Within Downloaded PDFs?
Mar 2, 2014II have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0. I'm mostly using it to do all my uni readings/annotations. When I clicked on a PDF on my university page, it downloaded & delivered itself to the download app.
Within the PDF are links to online journal articles that I need to access. However when I have the PDF opened (I was reading it in Kindle) I can't click on any of the links/hypertexts.
So I guess my questions are:
1. How do I get my links back to being clickable!
2. If this involves opening it in a different app, which ones is best?
3. Any other tips for a literally brand new android user...or links?
General :: Intermittent Loud Scratch Noise During Calls After Cyanogenmod 10 And Generic IMEI?
Nov 24, 2013I have a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000B from Brazil unlocked from the store. Three days ago I decided to update my system (2.2) to the CM10.0.0 (4.1.2). After much sweat and hassle I discovered how do it properly with the right files. So, I flashed 2.3.3 and then CM10 and it seemed to work properly until I found out my IMEI had been corrupted. I tried the solution I found but it didn't work because on step #5 I don't find the file named ".nv_data", just "nv_data.bin.md5". I tried copying just the other but in the end it doesn't change my IMEI back. I still have a generic IMEI but it is not affecting the signal of my phone, I can still make and receive calls, but I would like to get it properly working. When I flash android 2.2 it restores my IMEI.
Problem 2
My other problem is that I keep getting these really loud and intermittent scratch noises during calls after flashing CM10. Right now I am using a dutch SIM for I live in the netherlands. Maybe that is important to mention. But I had been using android 2.2 here all along with no problems. After CM10 I get these sudden short bursts of noise during my calls. The other person can barely hear it but I hear it loudly.
General :: Cyanogenmod 9 - Cannot Make Calls By Clicking Contact Photos
Sep 30, 2012I cannot make calls by entering Contacts -> Contact photo -> Call icon. When I do that, nothing happens, the call icon plays dummy with no action. Otherwise, when I click the contact name and then the phone number, the call action works just fine.
I'm using Cyanogenmod 9 ivendor RC 3.1.
HTC EVO 4G :: HTC EVO Wall Charger Noise
Jun 22, 2010I have noticed that while charging my EVO using the stock wall charger and any micro usb cable that there is a loud whining noise. It is pretty loud and can even hear it while watching TV. I have read that the Droid Incredible charger has the same issue as well and have tried to switch the prong orientatoin and still no luck. I have used my other HTC charger that I have from my old Touch Diamond and don't hear any type of noise. I have read that it is the capacitors in the charger making the noise. I have tested and the charger still makes the noise after the green LED light has come on.

Aug 19, 2010I have noticed that during playback of video I take with my Motorola droid, I hear a sort of a pop every now and then. The first time I heard it, I thought it was something going on around me when taking the video, but it's not, it appears that the sound is coming from the droid, though I do not hear the pop when recording. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes you don't hear it at all, sometimes it's every 30 seconds, and a lot of times, I hear the pop right at the end of the video, but sometimes it happens right in the middle.

You can follow that port inside to a small chamber where the microphone is. There aren't any markers on the volume rocker - then again up and down are pretty obvious. However, what I haven't seen addressed is whether than noise cancellation is bypassed when using a bluetooth headset?
