Samsung Captivate :: Touch Wiz Default Home Screen Change With Update
Oct 9, 2010Okay so here is another strange thing I noticed with the update.2 of the 3 phones that got the update now have a little home icon on the bottom of one of the touchwiz screens when you are in the edit mode. This page with the home icon can now be moved to whereever you want it in the positioning of the 1-7 screens you have and when you click on the "home" key at the very bottom it will go to that screen. Previously there was no home key and your home screen was either the middle or far left screen depending on the number of screens you had.

Jul 17, 2010Just a quick question about the Captivate. I just got myself an HTC Aria and I love how easy it is to use the touch screen on it. Its extremely responsive. Now my sister has the SamSung Instinct on Sprint and the touch screen is horrible compared to HTCs touch on the Aria. Im thinking about taking the HTC back to AT&T and getting the Samsung Captivate. I am just worried about the touch screen on it and if it will be like the Instincts? If the touch is as good as HTCs Ill get it. If its not, then Ill stick with the Aria because despite its size, its an extremely fun and responsive phone. Any thoughts?

My question is I really like the little click noise it makes when you clicking on things when typing and in the menu does the Evo have this feature and I know it doesn't have swype is there anything comparable for the Evo seeing it doesnt have it?

Jan 11, 2010just wondering if this is normal or not, someone told me it is normal for the droid.for instance - when your on the home screen and you hold the camera button down, it'll make about 3-clicks when starting up. it also makes the clicking noise when it is focusing before taking the photo. the most noticable is when using an app like shopsavvy or barcode scanner are these apps supposed to be focusing back and forth non stop? and if so, is it 'normal' for that clicking noise to go non-stop while it is focusing back and forth?
Samsung EPIC 4G :: Constant Clicking Sound - Sounds Electrical
Dec 1, 2010My "beloved" Epic was working perfectly last night but this morning as it sits here, it is making a low clicking noise (about every 3-5 seconds). Almost sounds like electrical something. Nothing has happened to the phone (no water, dropped or anything).
Has anyone experienced this with their phone? I only got it less than 2 weeks ago too. The phone is perfect so far (obviously room for improvements with 2.2 but I am actually quite happy as is). I am so hesitant to even have to replace it because my battery life has been amazing! I feel like a got very lucky with this one. I still have tons of juice left by the time I go to bed at night (which is when I recharge it.)

Oct 15, 2010on my droid x whenever the phone vibrates either when im clicking something, getting a text or a incoming call. the phone makes a buzz noise. also i noticed the phone does not vibrate as heavy as it should and is not as noticable when its in your pocket with the sound off. i used a droid 1 and a droid incredible in the past and both of those the vibration was quieter. so im wondering are everyones droid x like this or does mine just have a defective vibration mechanism or something?

Sep 12, 2010I've started noticing a weird clicking noise after using the camera. After I take a picture and press the 'Home' button to exit the application, it makes the noise, which sounds like there's something loose or something. I'm just wondering if anyone's had this problem, and if it's actually anything to worry about. Also, the slider part of the phone is loose at the bottom, so when I push the buttons I'm actually pushing the screen down onto the keyboard, which is annoying. Is there any way to fix it? Also, I'm thinking that may be the reason for the clicking noise.

I've had my Samsung Captivate for about 4 days now, and today when i plugged it in mid-day to charge (om nom nom battery life) it started emitting random, extremely obnoxious high-pitched beeps about 2 times per minute. It does it whether or not it's on A/C power, it even does it when the phone's powered off but the battery's in there, I just don't understand why or how to stop it.
Phone is awesome otherwise! Anyone having this issue/ know where it's coming from?
