My Xperia arc (LT15i) runs CM 10. Whenever I switch camera mode to panorama the camera screen goes black although the capture button and switch camera tab are still there.

I have a problem with front camera doesn't work for me. When i choose to front camera so The screen is black and show me massage: the gallery doesnt work and then show message not connecting ro camera. It doesn't work on all rom.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not work. When I turn front camera so the camera is crashed but when I do restart. It working for a moment...after Doesnt work. R800i
Here are a few tips with the Fascinate camera:
1. You can access Panorama mode from the Scene menu in the top left. With Panorama mode... you will be guided by a green box, when you get close to take the next snapshot, move very slowly... especially when the green box is almost centered on your screen. This will produce better pictures with less blur.
2. Turn on Anti-shake and Auto-contrast in the settings menu. Turn on Grid if you'd like extra help with taking better photos.
3. Long press the shutter button to auto focus before taking the photo. It's a two-stage button that will take a little bit to auto focus, but it's better than not doing it before taking a photo.
Has any body noticed that when you switch into or out of camera mode there is a little clicking noise (sounds almost like static electricity)?

It is unclear to me why there is no good panorama camera Android application except for what some phone vendors provide on their hand set. Why is this? (By panorama camera ap, I mean one that takes subsequent pictures as one pans, and stitches them together semi-seamlessly. All the ones I can find just stack the pix end to end or cuts/pastes the images with no regard to blending the pixels.)I had a good on my previous Nokia 5800 Music Express (Symbian S60V5) and I understand that there are several on the iPhone.What's the deal? Not enough power on the chip? The JVM not fast enough?

All the above when I start them they only show black screen with sound, I can click on things but no picture.
When Running Injustice Phone says, app is not responding , Wait or Close!
Injustce comes up with loading screen and the superman screen but after that it is a black screen!
I have tried rebooting, reinstalling, clearing all sorts and my phone is upto date!
I am also Running V6 Supercharger wich is awsome and makes my phone lag free!
Just once Minecraft started to work, when I deleted both folders in games > minecraft (On the SD Card).
After looking at the photos thread I gave the panoramic setting on the stock camera app a try. It's really cool but I hate the fact that it is limited to 640x480 segments. Is there a way to bump up the resolution in panorama mode? If not are there any camera apps that will take high res panoramas using the same method that the stock app uses?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to FlyX and just today to RubiX, but I was too lazy to SBF to stock before upgrading (I just added it right over). I realized that doing so didn't fix the camera Panorama assist FC issue in FlyX, and I was wondering if there was a workaround. I have but 2 questions:
1. Does rubiX have the same camera FC issue? If not then I may consider SBF-ing and redoing everything.
2. Would downloading a stock 2.2 camera.apk and replacing the one I have fix the issue?

So I was trying to show off my phone today and when I tried to take a picture the screen was black. It won't take a pic or anything. This is the first time I've tried it since the update.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've been playing with my camera today, and finally figure out how to take decent pix, but after scrolling through my album, I tried to go to the camera again, but now everytime I try the screen is black. And it stays black even after I remove my battery. A few times, I couldn't even get to home--the screen just stayed black.
Now it's still black when I go to the camera, but at least I can access home without having to remove my battery. I called Bestbuy and they said I can exchange, but I'm afraid I might get one with a messed up GPS. :-( Will Bestbuy fix it or make me exchange? Will Sprint fix it even though I'm still in my 30-day trial?
Has anyone had there camera just show a black screen? it makes the autofocus noises but black screen. I have done a bat pull and it still doesn't work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I just finished my ota 2.2 update... since the install everything has been working great however when I open the camera (still or video) it will not open. The screen will turn black with the camera or video image and then go back to the home screen. I have tried restarting the phone with the same results. Any suggestions? Has anyone else experienced this? btw I was unrooted and stock if that makes a difference prior to the update.
View 41 Replies View RelatedI recently tried to root my HTC desire using UNrevoked 3.1. Everything was going well and I even had the desktop gui tell me that the process was "done", however the phone never made it into the green and black recovery menu, and now when I try and enter the recovery menu the phone gives a black screen. I then have to do a hard reset by taking out the battery. I have tried running unrevoked again with the same results and have tried using Rom manager to enter recovery this way, niether of which have helped.
I've spent alot of time searching without answers, if any one thinks they can help or just point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.
This was reported in the other thread about X8 Issues, but thought to start a new one to gather feedback from users. It's about the ''black screen'' freezing issue encountered by some users. I have had this several times since owning the phone for a few weeks, so it is a recurring issue. Problem: The phone hangs or appears to be shut down or become unresponsive suddenly. Pressing the hardware buttons doesn't help as the phone doesn't react at all. Solution: Take out cover and battery and restart.Observations: From my own observations, it's not actually a shutdown but a major freezing/hanging. Sometimes when it happens, I can still see vague shades of the display at an angle. After leaving the phone for a while in the pocket, the phone comes back to normal again. Not sure if this is true for all users with this problem. Anyway, gathering more feedback to see how prevalent the problem is, to evaluate whether I should take it to the SE service centre, or whether doing so will help at all.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to use this phone as a digital camera replacement. However when I turn on tehcamera, the power button turns into a "lock" button. There's no way to turn off the screen. So first I have to hit the home key. Then it takes about 8 seconds for the camera to disable before it returns to the home screen.Only then can I shut the phone using the power key. Then if I want to use the camera,I have to turn on the screen and relaunch the camera app.This feels completely wrong to me and makes it hard to use as a pure digital camera.

I just cannot believe whats happening with my brand new cell phone. Initially when i purchased it , this device started restarting. And when i complain to the SE they told me the battery connecter is damaged. So they sent my cell phone to Dubai SE. Got it replaced, and no restart yet. BUT the right side screen flickers and the switch on/off button is not working. So i cannot switch off my cell phone. If i remove battery and then again insert it, then phone start automatically without using the switch on button. What must be done, i have purchased this cell phone in Qatar and now i am in India. Is there any app which can make night mode of selected apps (browser/gtalk/gmail/other few user selectable apps) background dark & font light / white similar to youtube app?
UC browser had this night mode earlier but latest version they have removed this feature. Ideally such app should be time sensitive & as the night time approaches it should start applying the night mode.
First of all this is minor Bug, but still - BUG! There is phone configuration description:

FW: android 2.1
patterns - default slider + unlock pattern
Bug description
1) When phone is locked, press home or power button.
2) move slider, to be able to draw pattern.
3) Start to draw pattern and wait till screen goes black (do not remove your finger). So your pattern is not finished and screen has gone black. Try to remember place of the finger.
4) Press home or power button again.
5) Finish unlock pattern from place you was, when screen turned black.
6) Your phone is unlocked!
So, if you did not finished your pattern and your screen have gone black you might think, that the phone locked, but this is not true. Your Phone can be Quite Easily unlocked in the Pocket.
I am a bit new to Android Environment and i am trying to make a snooper application. that is when ever some one enter wrong password on lock screen the front camera will automatically take a picture in invisible mode. Any source code how to do that. i have completed one component that is accessing camera and taking picture with camera but the problem is now that i don't know how to access and use the lock screen wrong password event.
