So when i turn the camera on, on the Droid it makes this sort of loud noise coming right from the lens it seems to only make it when it has to focus or when it turns on or even when coming back from previewing a picture. Does any one else seem to have that problem?

I've started noticing a weird clicking noise after using the camera. After I take a picture and press the 'Home' button to exit the application, it makes the noise, which sounds like there's something loose or something. I'm just wondering if anyone's had this problem, and if it's actually anything to worry about. Also, the slider part of the phone is loose at the bottom, so when I push the buttons I'm actually pushing the screen down onto the keyboard, which is annoying. Is there any way to fix it? Also, I'm thinking that may be the reason for the clicking noise.
View 2 Replies View Relatedjust wondering if this is normal or not, someone told me it is normal for the droid.for instance - when your on the home screen and you hold the camera button down, it'll make about 3-clicks when starting up. it also makes the clicking noise when it is focusing before taking the photo. the most noticable is when using an app like shopsavvy or barcode scanner are these apps supposed to be focusing back and forth non stop? and if so, is it 'normal' for that clicking noise to go non-stop while it is focusing back and forth?
is it normal for the camera to make a clicking noise. for example when im on my home screen and i hold the camera button to open it the camera makes a couple of clicking sounds am i the only one with this problem or is this all droids.

I'm getting great pictures outdoors but my pictures taken inside have a lot of noise (don't know if that's the term I want but they look fuzzy). View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I make a call everyone is telling me that they are hearing a loud shrill sound but I hear nothing so I went to Verizon to get an exchange since I have the insurance. They checked my phone out and said it should be exchanged but when they tried to exchange it they said there was none in the store and none even at their warehouse and they had no idea when they would get more. I'm wondering if that is because of the new Android phones coming out.
So if I have to get another phone I want to be prepared to make a decision. Any thoughts on another Android phone? I absolutely love my Droid and hope they will be able to get more in so I can exchange mine. But if I can't I would want one just like the Droid as far as a physical keyboard and also I like the amount of memory. And I want the freedom I have with the Droid to install anything I want. It's the first phone Verizon hasn't locked down.
Anyway hopefully I can keep my Droid but as I said I just want some ideas in case they don't get any more Droids in stock. Oh one last question, I was talking to an ex Verizon employee who insisted that the Droid won't accept a 32GB card. Is this correct?

View 31 Replies View RelatedI've had my Moment for 2 weeks now and love it. However, this morning I noticed something new. When I press down on the bottom left corner of the screen (home button vicinity) I get a creaking sound. I get the sound pretty much every time I press down on any part of the bottem left 1/4 of the screen. I do not get this sound when the keyboard is pulled out, so it's coming from some play between the phone and the keyboard. My wife has the same phone and does not have this problem. I'm curious to know if anyone else has developed this creaking noise. Anyone getting this sound?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI tried the one click root on my fascinate. It was successful and the phone rebooted. After it started up, it kept making noise like it was ringing and wouldn't stop. Also now when I send texts, it will send them but it wont show them in the screen. Also the browser says page not available and every time I download from the market it says download failed. Also I have no 3G connection and time is wrong.

It seems to have started since I did the software update but I did also drop the phone last night. Does anyone know what this could be.
I could swear I had de-selected a "noise cancellation" option in a menue somewhere in an effort to get my Droid to sound better during calls, but i can't for my life find it. (-Was I tripping?) Since then, I've removed my cheap-ass made-by-not-Motorola case after realizing (via this forum) that it was covering up the exterior microphone. Calls still sound like crap to me, but at least people can hear me better, I think. Anyway, if there's the noise cancellation opt and I wasn't dreaming or severely confused, can someone point me in the direction of that?

on my droid x whenever the phone vibrates either when im clicking something, getting a text or a incoming call. the phone makes a buzz noise. also i noticed the phone does not vibrate as heavy as it should and is not as noticable when its in your pocket with the sound off. i used a droid 1 and a droid incredible in the past and both of those the vibration was quieter. so im wondering are everyones droid x like this or does mine just have a defective vibration mechanism or something?

However can someone tell me how to turn off the clicking noise when I press a letter? I like the vibrate to let me know that I touched it but could do without the Storm-esque click. I've had my droid only for a week and it just today started this annoying habit of making a notification noise twice when I get a text so it buzzes goes Droid! Buzz again and Droid! Again. So I think I got two texts when I have one. I don't have handecent or anything. I'm geting a lot of bugs ones I wasn't expecting and its testing me on if I want to keep the phone. this only started happening after the 2.1 update. the beep sounds like i am getting another call. also phone calls seem to be draining battery rather fast lately, a three minute phone call will drop my battery from half to yellow.
When I first got my Droid, I would often hear a tea kettle going off in the background with pitch changes, like a plane flying over head. Needless to say, I wasn't going to put up with the distracting noises, especially with a brand new phone. So, Verizon replaced the device. Four months later, I'm still having the same problem. The problem isn't that bad but I should hear such noises, regardless. Verizon says they haven't heard of such an issue but will replace the device again. Has anyone else noticed these noises while on a phone call?
