50% of the time when I answer my phone it automaticlly goes to speaker.Has anyone else had this problem? And if you did how did you fix it, I haven't found a setting that applies to the speaker to turn it on/off when the phone is answered.

I really want those characters people use on Facebook: hearts, smiley face, sun, etc. My best friend has a BB and says I can gwt them if i have auto text. I've Google the info and it there was one page that said to get the smart keyboard pro app. I have no idea in how to use it or get those cute little symbols. Please, anyine, HELP!!

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I got my X, I love it all in all a much better phone that the original Droid (other than the lack of root thus far). Anyway, I have noticed that sometimes the audio from a call comes through the earpiece very low volume. Also when using the speakerphone feature (because it's hard to hear through the earpiece) I found that the caller on the other line can't hear me unless I yell into the phone! For a phone with 3 mics I'm not happy with these issues.

My wife has been having some problems where she would hold the phone to her ear with her shoulder and she will accidentally mute her call, or some times put the call on speaker phone. View 4 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a Droid2 and when she uses the speaker phone function, things sound fine on her end, but for the caller on the other end, there is an unbearably loud noise of them speaking. For instance, when I call her and she has me on speaker, I can hear myself speaking super loud coming out of her phone. I can't even concentrate to get my sentence out. Has anyone else had this problem or heard of it? She is using a hard snap on case from Verizon as well, not sure if it could be the sound bouncing of that or something?
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo heres a random problem that started happening recently I used to be able to reboot my phone and it would work fine again, now I'm SOL. So my mic doesn't work when I make/recieve calls unless I turn on speakerphone. No one can hear me unless its in speaker mode. If I do a voice search, voice record, etc, nothing happens. The only way I can talk on my phone is if I'm on speaker phone. I've rebooted, tried inserting headphones into the headset jack and removing, etc. I guess my final step is to factory reset and see if that fixes it. Are there any known solutions? I did NOT change any configuration. Oh, and I should throw out there, that once in a blue moon it DOES work on regular phone. This is totally random.

View 22 Replies View RelatedMy headset speaker (non-speaker phone) has a buzz to it when the in-call volume is all the way up, or one notch away from full. If I call voice mail, any automated line, or anybody speaks loudly the words are distorted by the speaker buzz. I'm not sure how else to describe it other than distortion/speaker issue. Does anybody else have their in-call volume all the way up that could confirm whether this is happening on theirs? My wife has the incredible and when I compare on her voicemail full in-call volume, it is perfect. I'm thinking about exchanging at Best Buy, but wan't to make sure its not common before I do. Would hate to go through the trouble if they all make this buzz/distortion.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe speaker on the back has a support beneath it (where the speaker(s) would be), except in one area. Off center to the right there is a hollow area where it can be dented, which I found out the hard way. I just happened to look at it and notice this defect. Having never dropped mine, I have no idea what could have caused this other than something pressing on it in my pocket. Upon further inspection I found out that this area is in fact pliable, due to the lack of support behind it.Will be dropping by VZW on monday. Since I'm within my 30 days until jan. 3rd, I hope they replace it for me. It would really suck to have to pay my $89 deductible (or whatever it is) just for this, but I can't be showing off my Droid with a dented speaker

But when I cup the back of the phone with my right hand, the volume is increased, possibly because the sound bounces off my hand.

View 4 Replies View Relatedjust received my X about two weeks ago. I love it. It is way better than my old BB Storm. So far I have only found one issue that I can't seem to resolve. It seems that from time to time my external speaker just stops working for media files. The ringer will still work as will any alerts, but if I try to play a YouTube file there is no sound. A reboot of the unit will fix this, but I am wondering if this is a know glitch or if I might have an app that is causing this. I tried searching for this topic but the only thing that comes up is a thousand threads complaining about the sound level.

And after 5-10 minutes, the screen goes to black.Sometimes, I want to turn off speaker phone or use phone to look up some numbers.However, pressing call button or track ball won't wake up the screen. If I press end call button, it just hung up.It seems that there is no way to wake up the screen except hanging up and call again.Anyone has same problem?
