Motorola Droid X :: Phone Isn't Vibrating For Texts
Nov 12, 2010My phone isn't vibrating for texts. And also my 3g is screwed up I can't go to any website within the browser and the 3g isn't working for apps that need it.

Motorola CLIQ :: No Vibrating For Texts
Apr 6, 2010I put the phone on ringer silent. Make sure vibration is on. When I flip the switch on the side the vibrating indicator vibrates. When the phone is on vibrate nd it recieves a phone call it vibrates but when I get a txt there is no vibration.

Feb 5, 2010My droid deletes all my text messages randomly. I've had it for 2 1/2+ months and it has done it twice, leading me to believe that it happens every month, regularly, because it always happens at the beginning of the month. The last time it happened, I brought it to the Verizon store but all they do is blame the consumer for any faults with software because Android is open source. Is there a way to get my texts back and how can I solve this problem? Is there an app that deletes text messages every month or so because of a hidden setting? Is there a solution to this problem without reformatting (I have my contacts, calendar, and a bunch of other stuff on my phone and also apps and I don't wanna delete anything).

Dec 7, 2009My Droid never vibrates, ever. No matter if it is set to vibrate only, silent, or max sound. It doesn't vibrate for calls, texts or for anything. I set vibrate on for both, calls and texts - and it never vibrates. I temporarily installed other apps to see if the phone is physically able to vibrate, and it is. I am not sure if I am missing an option, or if there is a software malfunction.

Nov 9, 2009New to these forums as I got my cliq 1 week ago.
I normally keep my phones on vibrate in order to be discreet of any incoming calls or notifications at work. However, when I am talking on the phone and I get a text, the phone vibrates. Is there a way to make the phone just beep or play a sound instead of vibrating. I must admit, it can freak you having the phone buzz in your ear.

Apr 15, 2010I've recently turned off the vibrating function for my stock keyboard, haptic feedback is still on though. I found it's easier to type when it's off for me, especially when typing long messages. Not that I don't like it, because I do. But when I'm typing something long, it's just really annoying IMO. So I became curious as to what everyone prefers regarding vibrating keys.

Motorola Droid X :: Not Vibrating When I Get A Text Message
Aug 30, 2010When I set my phone to vibrate, it will only vibrate when I get a phone call, not when I get a text or email. I saw some solutions for the Droid, but not the Droid X. I am not sure if the solutions are the same. Also, when it is on ring, it rings and vibrates, not just rings. Any suggestions? My main concern it getting it to vibrate when I get messages, I am not too concerned about the ring/vibrate thing.

I have my phone set to vibrate when you press the capacitive quick keys, and other functions the phone deems necessary to vibrate, but cant find anything for the keyboard. It would be very helpful with typing, reassuring that you actually hit the key when typing fast.

Aug 16, 2010Has anyone noticed that if you uncheck the box to enable the lock screen that the Droid X's screen will turn on for incoming text messages? It's rather annoying as I would rather not use a lock screen but don't want the screen turning on for every new text either. Screen stays off fine if the lock screen is enabled. This is my first Android phone so not sure if this is how Android behaves or if it's a Droid X issue.

Jul 10, 2010I was talking to my husband when my Eris started vibrating nonstop! I had to shut my phone off like 3x. My gmail password is right and it still won't sign me in.it take a whole minute to call anyone on my phone list, I miss calls, when I go to answer my phone after two rings it ends call. And last but not least, my assigned ring tones don't play for my contacts, it only plays the default. I have tried everything. I'm wondering if i should take it to Verizon and get a new one.

Dec 6, 2009When I put my phone into vibrate mode (either by using the rocker, or going through settings) my phone vibrates when receiving calls, but not when receiving emails or texts, they just stay silent, so I am completely unaware that I have received anything. Is this actually how Motorolla designed it's phone, or am I making a mistake? I receive texts/emails much more than phone calls, but am not always in an environment where I can have my ringer going off. Dec 12, 2009Everytime I send a text over 160 characters I get a response back from Verizon saying either the recipient doesn't support enhanced messaging (even though I'm sending a text to someone with the droid eris) or a different type of error message. Does anyone else have this problem, or is this something that is more a problem with my actual account?

Jun 19, 2010As the title says my phone will not vibrate at all. No haptic feedback when entering phone numbers, none for texting, and none for notifications or calls. I've tried everything I can think of. I've tried going back to the original 2.1 update vs the OTA update. I've tried a soft reset, and also going into the phone menu to do a factory reset. I've even tried the sound manager app trick and still no luck Any ideas on what might be the problem?

Dec 18, 2009I just got the droid about a week ago and I am not getting all of my texts.I get score updates from ESPN, and they aren't getting through to my Droid.It seems like any message from a non-10-digit number don't come in (like 75743 or something like that).I called Verizon and they were clueless.I also don't know how many other texts I am not getting.I sure don't get as many as I did with the iPhone, so I am sure the problem extends beyond non-10-digit numbers.I was also told by a friend that they are getting the same text twice from me.Any suggestions?
