So I've noticed that everytime I get a text or email or anything to make my phone vibrate, while laying flat, it rotates the screen to landscape automatically. I never had this problem before the update, now I have this issue. Anyone else experiencing this?

I want my phone to have the capability of rotating the home screen for landscape use in my car mount. But I do not want to go to another home screen replacement app, I want to keep Sense UI.Does anyone know of a ROM that will allow for this?

I do have a working version of the tutorial and I am currently in the process of changing the list to suit my needs, but there are a few issues I am stumped on. If your run the tutorial code it creates a little progress dialog saying that it is retrieving data. In my application it is going to be fetching data from the internet and storing it in an ArrayList of custom objects. However if I where to rotate the screen the progress dialog pops up again, I have no clue on how to set it up so that when it rotates that it doesn't recreate everything and re-fetch the data and process it again.
My screen has recently stopped vibrating when I touch it. It will happen as I am typing a text message. sometimes it will begin the vibrating again before I finish the message, sometimes I will play on the phone for a few minutes before it randomly comes back.

I found it's easier to type when it's off for me, especially when typing long messages. Not that I don't like it, because I do. But when I'm typing something long, it's just really annoying IMO. So I became curious as to what everyone prefers regarding vibrating keys.

I am not sure if the solutions are the same. Also, when it is on ring, it rings and vibrates, not just rings. Any suggestions? My main concern it getting it to vibrate when I get messages, I am not too concerned about the ring/vibrate thing.

I have my phone set to vibrate when you press the capacitive quick keys, and other functions the phone deems necessary to vibrate, but cant find anything for the keyboard. It would be very helpful with typing, reassuring that you actually hit the key when typing fast.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I put my phone into vibrate mode (either by using the rocker, or going through settings) my phone vibrates when receiving calls, but not when receiving emails or texts, they just stay silent, so I am completely unaware that I have received anything. Is this actually how Motorolla designed it's phone, or am I making a mistake? I receive texts/emails much more than phone calls, but am not always in an environment where I can have my ringer going off. Is there a way to set my text and email alerts (and any other alerts [voicemail, etc.]) to vibrate when in vibrate mode.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI put the phone on ringer silent. Make sure vibration is on. When I flip the switch on the side the vibrating indicator vibrates. When the phone is on vibrate nd it recieves a phone call it vibrates but when I get a txt there is no vibration.

And Then I'd like to let the user rotate the circle by grabbing and dragging it clockwise or counterclockwise. Do you guys know what would be the best (simplest, smoothest) way to do this? I already saw that using drawOnPath i can draw text in a circle. Do you have any tips on how to proceed with dragging and rotating the textcircle?

I set my launch screen to have say 7wide*5high icons then this will look good in landscape but when rotating to portrait the amount of icons is rotated also so it's at 7 wide and 5 high even though the aspect ratio has flipped. I don't get why launchers don't just rotate the icons on the spot so that it looks good in one rotation and not the other.
My app's main screen is a listview in portrait mode. When it is in landscape orientation it switches to an ImageView. I want to be able to animate a fading transition when I switch orientations. How can I go about doing this?

I normally keep my phones on vibrate in order to be discreet of any incoming calls or notifications at work. However, when I am talking on the phone and I get a text, the phone vibrates. Is there a way to make the phone just beep or play a sound instead of vibrating. I must admit, it can freak you having the phone buzz in your ear.
Lately the phone just starts vibrating and won't stop (no calls, no msgs). I have to take the battery out and leave it out for a while. If I try to put it back to soon it starts vibrating again.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was talking to my husband when my Eris started vibrating nonstop! I had to shut my phone off like 3x. My gmail password is right and it still won't sign me in.it take a whole minute to call anyone on my phone list, I miss calls, when I go to answer my phone after two rings it ends call. And last but not least, my assigned ring tones don't play for my contacts, it only plays the default. I have tried everything. I'm wondering if i should take it to Verizon and get a new one.

the phone is instantly booting and vibrating.. here is what caused the problem:
I have installed GOT firmware 2.36.0 from G.O.T. SHOLS_U2_36.0 released for UK and Central Europe G.O.T.'s Blog with their open recovery. i've installed all hacks with busybox and it works for me for few weeks.
Today i wanted to install app2sd hack. I got to GOT menu, i've split SDCard and install app2SD. After i rebooted my phone it starts to vibrate when "android" screen appears. of course before that i did nadroid backup, but restoring it never helped.
And here is what i've already done:
I flashed my phone with GOT firmware again, didn't help..
Then i download original sbf 2.36.0 file for central europe with original bootloader 90.74 flashed it to my milestone by rds lite, erase all user data and reboot. phone is still vibrating, sometimes android welcome screen appears (with vibrating all the time) and then reboot again..I tried reboot without sd card, without sim card, i formated sd card back to only fat32, but still this same..
I was thiking of buying either a screen protector from verizon or best buy. I was wondering which is the best to buy out of the two or if there is a better protector? Also what is the best case for the motorola droid? Lastly, when I make phone calls my screen goes black so it is hard for me to end calls. How can i fix this? I don't see any settings for this on the droid.

I mute, sometimes end calls, start 3 way calls etc and I have no idea how to prevent it. Is there any way I can make the screen lock during phone calls or change the call screen altogether?

He told me the password and I can use it to wake the phone up just fine but I use the slide screen, but now there is both password unlock and the slide screens. Is there a way to extend the time between total blackout and locking? Is there a way to turn off auto screen lock all together but keep the auto fade out and auto black out? I am always able to remember to manually lock the screen and the auto lock is annoying but I still like the power saving of the screen fade and black out.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I recently got a set of screen protectors and put one on.All was well just noticed a few bubbles and so I tried to work them out.They weren't going away, so I figured I would try again so I removed it and to my astonishment the bubbles were still there. It's like they formed under the screen somehow when I put the protector on, they were absolutely not there before.There are 2 in the center of the screen and a few along the edges. At first I just thought it was a water spot but I cannot wipe them off.The ones on the edge of the screen I can"push out" to the edge to almost make them disappear.When you touch them with the pads of your fingers you can feel a slight "bump" in the screen (very minute but still there).They bubbles are easily visible when the screen is off and almost go away when the screen is on but you can still tell they are there.Is this a defect in the phone or did I cause this trying to install the protector? I didn't push down hard on the screen, just applied the protector and they appeared.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought a new droid for $20 haha lucky i think until i notice that the touch screen only works for the middle of the screen to the left so if yu cut the screen into thirds only the middle and left work assuming that yu cut it from top to bottom with the lights at the bottom for the home button etc. I opened it up cleaned all the flex cable with alcohol and waited for it to dry and it still does the same thing so my question is = do i need a new digitizer or is it a software problem or something that i dont even know?

Also before the update I could have sworn there was an option on the screen timeout to set it to never. Now I don't have that option.
