Sep 22, 2010long time lurker, first time poster.I'm running my D1 w/ sapphire 1.1 OC'ed at 1.2ghz, and I'm about to get a full time desk job so i was wondering.Does anyone know of an app or hack that will allow me to control my droid from a desktop computer? I'd like to be able to send/recieve texts without looking at my phone every 2 minutes (cell phones are against policy).

Jun 8, 2010I would like to transfer pics from my computer to my phone. where on the sd card do i save them? pics i have taken with my evo go into the 100Media folder inside of the DCIM folder on my sd card. should i just dump all of the pics in this folder? will the folder be sorted out by date, or is there an app that would be good for organizing pictures and making slideshows?

Feb 5, 2010My droid deletes all my text messages randomly. I've had it for 2 1/2+ months and it has done it twice, leading me to believe that it happens every month, regularly, because it always happens at the beginning of the month. The last time it happened, I brought it to the Verizon store but all they do is blame the consumer for any faults with software because Android is open source. Is there a way to get my texts back and how can I solve this problem? Is there an app that deletes text messages every month or so because of a hidden setting? Is there a solution to this problem without reformatting (I have my contacts, calendar, and a bunch of other stuff on my phone and also apps and I don't wanna delete anything).

Dec 7, 2009My Droid never vibrates, ever. No matter if it is set to vibrate only, silent, or max sound. It doesn't vibrate for calls, texts or for anything. I set vibrate on for both, calls and texts - and it never vibrates. I temporarily installed other apps to see if the phone is physically able to vibrate, and it is. I am not sure if I am missing an option, or if there is a software malfunction.

Aug 16, 2010Has anyone noticed that if you uncheck the box to enable the lock screen that the Droid X's screen will turn on for incoming text messages? It's rather annoying as I would rather not use a lock screen but don't want the screen turning on for every new text either. Screen stays off fine if the lock screen is enabled. This is my first Android phone so not sure if this is how Android behaves or if it's a Droid X issue.

Dec 12, 2009Everytime I send a text over 160 characters I get a response back from Verizon saying either the recipient doesn't support enhanced messaging (even though I'm sending a text to someone with the droid eris) or a different type of error message. I tried emailing the video, but no attachments went thru. Is there a way to export it via USB, etc.? I know they can be sent straight to youtube if there is wifi available, but I want to send it to the computer for viewing, forwarding, burning to dvd, etc. Any advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

I ask because I im a dallas cowboys fan that lives in New York so most games aren't broadcast. The nfl mobile app lets me watch live feeds and games, but as you can imagine the screen is only so big.
