did a search and didnt find anything relating to my issue.I installed a program (photofun) and i regret it. i tried it out with one pic and when i went to the gallery to view it, it would just force close when i would scroll.So i uninstalled the program but when i enter the gallery, pick a folder, and try to scroll, then it will force close. cannot scroll at all bcuz it will force close.

Whenever I view my gallery now I get a force close message and the gallery attempts to restart. After it restarts it crashes again. This is very annoying.I can view photos fine through the file manager.

Things would start up fine with the turn by turn but every few minutes it would lock up. Is anyone else having this problem? Rebooting the phone didn't seem to help. View 10 Replies View RelatedRunning BB.4 with flash beta 3 installed. Yesterday, running on the default 800Mhz kernel that comes in BB, flash ran ok. Today, I put Chevy 1Ghz ULV kernel on my droid, and flash keeps crashing. I went into SetCPU and throttled back to 800Mhz, and flash works again. I know Flash is still beta, so not sure what is going on.

However, if i switch to the favorites or contacts tabs at the top my phone will exit out of the dialer back to the home screen. I hope this is something that can be fixed over an update. Btw if i go directly to contacts from the home scrren it works fine.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an ongoing problem with my Droid that apps will crash if they are not used for a period of time. I've been dealing with it so far by uninstalling and reinstalling the app. This morning Google Voice started crashing and I was unable to make a call, so I uninstalled Google Voice, made the call I needed to make, and then reinstalled Voice. While going through the setup, the app crashes and force closes when attempting to sign in. This is not the only app I have problems with. The Amazon MP3 service force closes at random times, and it seems every app I install eventually has to be reinstalled because it starts force closing after a period of time. I do all the normal troubleshooting like clearing the cache and restarting the phone, and it usually doesn't fix it. Is this normal for this phone or do I have a bad one? It's really becoming an annoyance...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am on my third exchanged phone for a variety of reasons I have a 41/09 device that is repeatedly crashing whenever I try to compose an email with the native gmail app.I have duplicated it over and over again. There is a lot of debate as to whether these crashing phones are experiencing a hardware or a software problem.This seems like a software problem, and could be related to how the new 2.0 OS deals with memory, etc.I would like to think that an software update would fix it.There is no doubt that Verizon and Google are aware of the high number of phones that crash software.I bought my phone at Walmart, and they are about done with my replacement requests. My store and the next closest store who sells Verizon is out of the Droid.

The kicker is that i havent even been using it as much! I picked up the phone today, open the web browser to google homepage, and the phone crashes. Yesterday it was nearly the same thing. I am not running any apps in the background other than what is already from the OS.

View 3 Replies View RelatedBuddy told me to put kangerade and chevy lv 1.2ghz on it. I'm not new to the root game and i've done it to a few eris phones. I got everything installed correctly two days ago but yesterday and today, the phone seems to soft boot every now and again for no particular reason. It doesn't go all the way to the mas a hard boot would, but it goes to the droid logo and reboots from there. I'm running the newest version of Kangerade with chevy 1.2ghz low voltage kernel.
View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently when I use the stock/default music player, when I try to pause or stop it, it keeps playing. If I press the hard home key, it will go to the home screen but the music will keep playing even if I press pause. If I am still in the music player app and press the back button, it goes to a black screen and keeps playing. Today I tried to shut down my phone to get it to stop and it kept playing for a couple minutes and took much longer than usual for the phone to shut down.
Do I just have to use a different music player? Is the default one really buggy or something? Not sure if it has anything to do with it but I only noticed it after I updated to 2.2.
Ok so I just rooted my X and have only removed some of the straight forward bloatware... i.e. CityID, Blockbuster...
After doing so, I did a factory reset and now the stock text messaging app won't stay open...
Any ideas on how to resolve this issue.?
I installed bugless beast froyo on my droid... and it keeps crashing and powering off my phone, anybody know the reason? i installed 1.25 kernel could that be the reason

View 22 Replies View RelatedWell the issues with the stock launcher have been fixed from the early days of 2.0.1 and everyone can have up to 7 screens without root.Now that 2.2 is out and the launchers work fantastic on it, i think app developers should start working on a new Gallery for the droid.. I cant stand the stock gallery, its glitchy, laggy, messes up all the time and doesnt show all my photos. Its a worthless piece of trash IMO. I cant even show friends my photos i took on my DSLR on the phone because it will never load them.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a quick way to refresh the gallery? I download pictures from the browser, so it automatically adds them to the gallery. But i don't like my downloaded pictures showing up in the gallery so i made a hidden folder within download/ called .pics/. after i download pictures i always use a file manager to move them to the hidden folder. but when i check the gallery, it sill shows shows them as being in the download/ folder. the only way Ive been able to refresh the gallery, to hide the hidden images, is to reboot the fone.

Within that folder I have created sub folders:
Family
Friends
Picture ID
Wallpaper... with a total 115 pictures
Well I noticed that in a folder called DCIM, there is a folder called .thumbnails, which seems to be copying the pictures(some 42 pics) from the Picture folder.
My main issue is that when I tap on Gallery it opens a black screen with folders that remain blank and nothing...
I am forced to power down because after 5 minutes the Droid is so sluggish its not usable.
Should I be deleting the folders that I created? If so where do I put my pictures?

I believe since it runs off the sdcard it loads gallery pictures faster, or at least appears to do so on my end. Runs perfect on my Droid X so I thought i'd post it here.
After i take a photo i go to view the photo in the gallery and i can see the thumbnail, like the small preview but when i go to enlarge the photo to make it full screen, its just a black screen until i restart my phone than it works fine any ideas?

I use a file explorer, and it shows that all my files are there, but for some reason nothing will show in the gallery. sometimes i can gt it to show a "camera" folder and like 3 "download" folders, and some weird folders with numbers and stuff, but they never show thumbnails and wont let you click them.
Gone are my picture folders, and also the galleries from picasa web. I have the droid, with the latest updates and everything. Never had this problem before. Was working the other day. Today i was tryin to send someone a picture, and noticed this.
