First of all I'd like to say that I am a noob. I'm trying to download wallpapers from this site Android Wallpapers - Free Android 960x800 Wallpaper. I do not know what size I am suppose to use. When i choose/save a wallpaper on my droidX n go to set it as my wallpaper the picture looks crappy and oversized.

I have tried and cant seem to get any picture to show up right on the droid x for a wallpaper. How are you guys doing it. I found some pics to make a wallpaper and then resized then 960x854. I then sent to my gmail account and saved then put as a wallpaper which doenst look right at all.

It 480 X 800 pixel JPG (I can stretch it to get the 54 pixel more if I need it). When I go to set it as my wallpaper the "crop" square only let me allow 1/2 of the pic. I resized it way down still no luck. should I make it a PNG file?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe only thing I've found on the Droid2 that's bad is the GPS. I was testing Back Country Navigator on our walk today and without cellular assistance the GPS is essentially useless. It had me about 7 miles away from my true location. It was probably 90% overcast.

Here is the problem i want to set the whole picture as the wallpaper but when you set as on the eris a box pops up the picture and you have to adjust it. I don't want that I want the whole dam picture. Are you guys having trouble. I found a website that has wallpaper with correct size but when i send it to myself i have to adjust the picture with that dang box.

When i choose the picture to set as my wallpaper, it asks me to crop the picture which is all ok.... But then once the wallpaper is set, it's spread across all 7 pages. I want to set this picture as my Wallpaper. The problem is, when I select "Set As", the picture suddenly appears with a lower quality.
Here's the picture as it is, and then after I press on "Set As".
As you can see, in the second picture, the wallpaper has a lower quality. I didn't zoom in or anything, but somehow I cannot get the best quality (shown as I see it in my gallery), as soon as I try to set it as my wallpaper, the quality lowers.
I am having a heck of a time getting any pictures and many downloaded wallpapers to show up on my HTC Incredible. After I set the picture or whatever and crop it, I return to the home screen and the Colorful Bubble HTC Wallpaper always shows up instead, only the live wallpaper really works all the time. Anyone else have the same problem or know a solution?

View 19 Replies View RelatedI use the backgrounds app, and it lets me save backgrounds to my SD card. I go into Astro/ sdcard/ backgrounds and then click on the picture. It gives me 2 options to open it. "ASTRO Image Viewer" and "View picture". For me to use it as a background I have to pull it up in "View picture", BUT....no matter how many times I try and pull it up that way, it shows me the first picture in my camera album. If I click "ASTRO Image Viewer", I can always see the picture I selected, but under menu, I only have the option to "share" and nothing else. Can you tell me why the selected picture won't show up in "View picture"?

I tried listening to music using the included headphones yesterday on a plane, and I could barely hear the audio. I ended up switching to my iPod, which I had hoped my G1 would replace. Has anyone used the G1 with different (i.e. better) headphones, and what were your results? (I know the headphone jack is proprietary, but I'm hoping with better headphones/earbuds and a USB to 3.5mm converter I can sqeeze better quality and volume from the G1. We'll see.)

I just got my phone in last 2 months and am not technically advanced enough so fear rooting my phone...dealer said it will invalidate my warrantee. My phone is already 2.1, and this issue was SUPPOSED to be resolved . Are there any work arounds for the Moments crappy dial screen? I hate that I have to hit back button to disable buttons that I never use anyway. And when the screen is gone...it is a pain to bring back the dial screen if I need to use dial tones, since the keypad letters do not work on phone system prompts because they don't activate keytones. Is there any good (not buggy) work around dial screen applications for this other than rooting my phone?

It is the actual player that is crappy when it loads up. Had moto droid looked perfect but not with the incredible. Does anyone have a recommendation for a very high res wallpaper app? I woulnd't mind dropping a little change in the developers pocket as long as it is a quality app.
