I downloaded pictures off the internet and tried to set them as my background, and it says "This picture has been set as wallpaper" But its just the default wallpaper. So then I tried the Bar code scanner wallpapers and Android themes.com and same thing!

I have my incredible set to use the live wallpaper "water". When I turn the phone off to charge at the end of the day, upon restart it defaults to the htc colors wallpaper.Is there something I'm doing wrong, is there a setting I'missed to retain the "water" live wallpaper after restart, or is this just normal behavior?

But when I go to the lockscreen wallpaper in settings, it only allows me to choose a few OEM wallpapers. How can I get the apex wallpaper onto the lock screen?This is a minor annoyance, but is there a way I can theme the top of my phone where it tells me the time/cell signal to look like stock ICS? The touchwiz icons are really big and don't look that great, while taking up a lot of space.

After I set the picture or whatever and crop it, I return to the home screen and the Colorful Bubble HTC Wallpaper always shows up instead, only the live wallpaper really works all the time. Here is the problem i want to set the whole picture as the wallpaper but when you set as on the eris a box pops up the picture and you have to adjust it. I don't want that I want the whole dam picture. Are you guys having trouble. I found a website that has wallpaper with correct size but when i send it to myself i have to adjust the picture with that dang box.

When i choose the picture to set as my wallpaper, it asks me to crop the picture which is all ok.... But then once the wallpaper is set, it's spread across all 7 pages. However, I can't seem to manage this at all.
Does anyonw know if this is possible or if it is an error in the HTC manual?

I'm writing a live wallpaper that creates an effect over a background. I want the user to be able to choose the background from any of the system wallpapers and camera photos. What I would like is for the user to be able to press a button in the Settings menu, have the list of options show up just like setting the wallpaper from the home screen, minus the Live Wallpapers options. Once the user navigates the choices and picks an actually image I would load it to my canvas. How do I do this?
I can't find an API anywhere for getting a list of wallpapers.
I've been able to come up with a list of wallpaper providers using Intents. I then get a list of live wallpaper providers also using Intents and remove those from my first list. The gives me a list of wallpaper providers that are not live.
Now what? Are there other ways to do this that I'm missing?

I recently tried out a live wallpaper, and now I can't get back to the original one. My only choices are the live ones, and about 6 more from HTC..
I've searched the directory structure for .jpg. .png files, but have been unable to find the original pattern.
Any idea where it is, or how to get it back?
