any way to get better video when you go to the site. Im not talking about the flash. You dont need flash for this video. It is the actual player that is crappy when it loads up. Had moto droid looked perfect but not with the incredible. It seems just yesterday they've added native support for Android. Now I can watch the highlight of the day, top 10s, etc all from their website.

The load bar will get to some point and stop and the page never fully loads. No other web based apps are affected. At first I would restart the device and that, of course, would fix it. Lately I ended up just force stopping the browser and that fixed it as well.

View 7 Replies View RelatedThe new Froyo update has changed the look of the screen when receiving a phone call. It now has their FB status scrolling across the bottom of their picture!! This is EXTREMELY annoying....is there a way to disable that? I just want their contact pic to show...but if I didn't want the pic to show, just their name and number, is there a way to do that??
Lastly, I have contacts that are linked with phone and Facebook...I have adjusted so the pic of the "phone" entry is what shows in "people" and in handcent...but when I receive a call, the FB pic is what shows..

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust bounced out to ESPN at ESPN Home on my Incredible and like the look, but in the "video" section there are only 7 offerings and this is little highlight blurbs. On the ESPN 3 site you can watch full length games and I can browse to this site on my Incredible but when I get the viewing window, I just get a little yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it. Is there any way to play ESPN 3 videos on the Incredible?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWent into the mall where I work this morning, there's a verizon kiosk right outside my store. Pick up an Incredible. Start driving home while playing with it. At a red light I notice a bright green pixel over an orange area of my wallpaper. Indeed it was there throughout any application I used. When I loaded up the browser and went to "about:blank" (which loads a fully white screen) I was able to see it there also.
Bummer. I live 14 miles from where I work, and where I picked up this Incredible. So I head over to another Verizon store closer to where I live. I show the agent, and he agrees and we swap it. Next phone... dust under the screen, 3 particles, right out of the box!
Once more another replacement. This time a red bright pixel around the same area (lower left quadrant of the screen) as the first phone! 4th phone into it, finally no issues.
Has anyone else gotten dead/ bright pixels in their AMOLED displays? Open your browser and enter this address in. about:blank, just like that. look hard, tell me what ya find. Took me four phones to get a good one. Hope everyone else here doesn't have to go through the same.

So is the audio quality crappy and too quiet or is it just me? I tried listening to music using the included headphones yesterday on a plane, and I could barely hear the audio. I ended up switching to my iPod, which I had hoped my G1 would replace. Has anyone used the G1 with different (i.e. better) headphones, and what were your results? (I know the headphone jack is proprietary, but I'm hoping with better headphones/earbuds and a USB to 3.5mm converter I can sqeeze better quality and volume from the G1. We'll see.)

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe only thing I've found on the Droid2 that's bad is the GPS. I was testing Back Country Navigator on our walk today and without cellular assistance the GPS is essentially useless. It had me about 7 miles away from my true location. It was probably 90% overcast.

I have been checking for recent threads about cronic issues of dial screen problems with mute/speaker activated accidentally. I just got my phone in last 2 months and am not technically advanced enough so fear rooting my phone...dealer said it will invalidate my warrantee. My phone is already 2.1, and this issue was SUPPOSED to be resolved . Are there any work arounds for the Moments crappy dial screen? I hate that I have to hit back button to disable buttons that I never use anyway. And when the screen is gone...it is a pain to bring back the dial screen if I need to use dial tones, since the keypad letters do not work on phone system prompts because they don't activate keytones. Is there any good (not buggy) work around dial screen applications for this other than rooting my phone?

Now while I have hidden the sim card contacts so everything looks ok on the people screen, if i go into a contact and look at what it is linked to there is 3 versions of the contact all on the phone and all just with the number. Is there an easy way to sort this out? or should I just delete all my phone contacts and import from sim again?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm developing application that shows thumbnails of images in gridview widget. I load HTML with image names, and set ImageAdapter. That image adapter loads single image (from internet or SD card) in AsyncTask with selected image position. After I initially download HTML with image names, and parse them to array, I set selection of GridView to index of last image. But, what happens is this : first image that gets downloaded is image with index zero. That gives me a lot of trouble because I'm using convert views and AsyncTasks, so sometimes I end up with wrong picture at first column in last row (sometimes picture with index 0 gets in there), depending on which AsyncTask gets executed first. Even stranger, I end up with around 10 calls to getView for image with index 0.Does anyone have idea how to switch GridViews position to last image, and not have image with index 0 loading?
