Motorola Droid X :: Picture Widget And Picture Slideshow Widget

I posted this question sort of embedded in the "show us your Droid X screen" but I think it got buried with all the "what is that widget?" questions.I see on some screens the picture widget picture is big. Mine is only about 1 inch by 1/2 inch.I can barely even get 1/2 a face in the picture.How do you get a bigger picture?I'm running LauncherPro, is that effecting it?Since I couldn't get a bigger picture, I decided to try and add the slide show widget. But when I try, it says Widget Conflict only one photo slideshow per home screen. I don't have any other slideshow widgets on my screen. Any ideas?

I am looking for a slide show widget that would be similar to the "3" music player. i can't find any slide show widget at all. is there one? is there a picture frame widget that can start a slide show with 1 touch? any slide show apps that are any good at all? i just can't seem to find one. the best i have found is the 2.1 eclair gallery app from droid-life.com. the only thing i've found that is remotely close is a link to the code to accomplish such a thing.

so i decided i want to use the picture frame widget again after not using it for a while... but now when i go to choose a photo it uses astro as the browser this would be ok but as soon as I select which picture i would like to use it says: "Sorry! The application Photos has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."Then it force closes and I can't use the widget.Anyone else using Astro with this problem? Any solutions on how to use the default picture browser instead?

Just to prove that I used the search, the only related thread I found was where they asked the same question, and I guess the OP started using handcent as a solution, but I don't want to do that. When I go to send a picture, or receieve a picture, it shows up as a slideshow. How can I stop doing this and it just be a picture like any other phone would do?

Every damn picture I get, I have to make sure to look at it fast before 2 seconds end and the damn picture disappears, because for some reason, HTC decided slideshow view for all their damn picture messages was a good idea. Pressing the pause button doesn't work at all, as it just turns the screen black for whatever freakin reason.

How do i get peoples facebook picture to show up as their picture in my contacts. Right now my facebook picture shows up as Me, but none of the others are showing up. I even changed all my contact names to match the facebook page.

I use the backgrounds app, and it lets me save backgrounds to my SD card. I go into Astro/ sdcard/ backgrounds and then click on the picture. It gives me 2 options to open it. "ASTRO Image Viewer" and "View picture". For me to use it as a background I have to pull it up in "View picture", BUT....no matter how many times I try and pull it up that way, it shows me the first picture in my camera album. If I click "ASTRO Image Viewer", I can always see the picture I selected, but under menu, I only have the option to "share" and nothing else. Can you tell me why the selected picture won't show up in "View picture"?

is there a way to get a contacts picture to show their facebook picture in timescape. I have linked all my contacts with their facebook accounts but it still shows the default white picture. I dont want to have to go through and take pictures of all my contacts. that would just be silly.Apologies if this has been asked before or is a simple fix. I'm new to this smart phone malarchy

How to take good/great pictures with my X. Everytime I take a picture it looks blur or quality looks like crap etc. I have it set on 8MP and tried different settings and still not good. I see other people picks on here and they are GREAT quality and look perfect.

I have tried and cant seem to get any picture to show up right on the droid x for a wallpaper. How are you guys doing it. I found some pics to make a wallpaper and then resized then 960x854. I then sent to my gmail account and saved then put as a wallpaper which doenst look right at all.

within the last month sending picture messages has become a joke. It takes like an hour almost all the time and sometimes they wont send at all. Anyone know whats going on with this? Regular texts work perfectly.

I'm having issues sending picture messages using the messaging app. I get an error saying that I typed in an invalid address. I think that this is because its not resizing the images that I try to send.... When i use Handcent all works like it is supposed to but not when I use the default messaging application.

How do I make my wallpaper picture fit ?? I down load a Pic from my old Omnia i920 forum wallpaper site site. It 480 X 800 pixel JPG (I can stretch it to get the 54 pixel more if I need it). When I go to set it as my wallpaper the "crop" square only let me allow 1/2 of the pic. I resized it way down still no luck. should I make it a PNG file?

I recently started having an issue when I try to save a picture from a picture message on handcent. I cannot see the picture in my gallery only until I reboot the phone. With the regular droid messaging program, the pictures appear right away. I am not sure if this is an issue since I am now running 2.2 on my droid. Anybody else having the same issue.

I just went to my gallery to delete a few pictures only to notice a bunch of new folders. Named s1 thru s7 and containing pictures I've never seen. Bet it's a news app named pulse I downloaded...
PITA - Takes 5 keystroke to delete 'em.

I just got my new X and have hopefully an easy question. I sync'd up my Gmail contacts but when I set up my Facebook account, it added all my Facebook contacts and made my contact pictures in my contact list the ones from Facebook. I want the contact pictures that I have saved in my Gmail account to be the pictures showing up on my phone and I also didn't want all my Facebook contacts to transfer over to my list. How do I go back to my original Gmail contacts only, and import the photos from my Gmail account to replace the ones from Facebook? When I go to the option to change picture source, it only gives me my Facebook and Twitter accounts as options.

I downloaded a picture from the web onto my X. I used dropbox. The problem I'm having is I can see the picture when I go to phone files. I copy and paste from dropbox to my picture folder. The picture doesn't show up in the gallery. So just to be sure I copied the picture to a folder called background, its still not there in the gallery. Weird thing is when I go back to the phone files, and look for it. Its there in the gallery folder AND the background folder, but STILL not in the gallery! not sure whats going on there? I just want to make a picture a background thats all. It would be nice to just go into the phone files LONG press a picture and have the "Set As" option. This option only seems to be available in the gallery.
