I'm thinking about buying one of those full body case things, such as Ghost Armor for example.Just one thing I'm nervous about... that liquid solution that comes with it needed to place the protector onto the phone. Chance of messing up? difficult?Anyone find a nice body protector worth every dime for the DX?

I got a full body zagg today and on the way home when I tried to use the car mount it started to peel the corners off in the back. Does this only happen when the zagg is new and not all the way secure or did I make a mistake and need to peel of the back pieces?Just curious if anyone else have both the zagg and car mount and if so if people are having the same results as me.

I'll sell it for $10, shipped.I will say that I really liked the Phantom Skinz on my Eris. The only thing that I didn't like was it eliminated the "soft touch" feel on the back. Other than that, no bubbling, very smooth, did not interfere with the screen and great self-healing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI ordered a ZAGG full body max protector to replace my Body Glove case. I didn't know if anyone had any experience with covering the whole body with this thing? I went with the max vs the easy version because I'd think the corners are going prolly mostly likely to get hit if it's dropped and the easy version doesn't protect sides/corners. Obviously this provides no shock protection if it's dropped but it's a nice compromise between showing off it's sexiness and protection.

I know I'm supposed to give it another 12-24 hours to dry and "cure" (although I seem to recall seeing the timeframe of 24-48 hours on this board, anyone vouch for that?), but I'm a little concerned.Sorry for the huge crappy pic, had to take it with my old phone. But you can see the smears and lines. Those are what I'm worried about. Anyone who's used a Zagg able to comment on whether those disappear in the curing process? I'll be sure to post better pics when it's completely dried for people.

Now I really like the HD2 BUT it has the usual HTC BS issues with a buggy frontend and generaly, like all HTC stuff, being excellent in principle but rushed out and becomes major fail. So, this brings me to a Milestone (i'm in the UK).I'm very tempted by this as its similar in form factor to my current Acer M900 - large screen and slide keyboard. But before I do, i'm a little confused by some stuff and was hoping you guys can help me please?
- I'm looking at a Milestone being a UK person, can I use ROM's for a Droid and still retain the multi-touch feature?
- I have read over the past few days that some Droids can auto-reboot. Does this also affect Milestones and have the new 2.01 updates fixed it? Do we know if the 2.1 will defo fix?
- I am a hardcore Office user on my WinMobs, can I get full office functionality on the Droid? I need full outlook sync including tasks. I need to be able to edit Excel and Word and at least look at PowerPoint presentations.
- I also need OneNote or something VERY similar on Android that will sync to my PC as well, can this be done
- I have read that the keyboard can be akward, sadly I have no idea where to try one in the UK so, honestly, is it useable or too cramped
- Battery life - i'd need full push email for 7am to 10pm, can the phone battery handle this
- The HTC HD2 has the usual issue where when locked it will require a reboot to "wake it up" again, does anything like this happen with the Milestone? Its highly embarrasing and VERY frustrating to go to take notes in a meeting only to find I need to reboot before I can....

For anyone using the Body Glove case, I have a question for you.Has your slider become loose?I know the case fits snug and causes the keyboard to be tighter opening, but when removed, is your slider actually loser?I just bought the Body Glove but I'm thinking about returning it. There is some resistance to opening the slider, which I wouldn't mind, if it wasn't causing the slider to actually separate from the screen.What I mean is, upon looking head on at the side with the headphone jack, I can see the tab where the bottom plate snaps to the phone rubbing with the tab where the front plate snaps to the phone when opening the slider. That's what is causing the resistance, at least on my case. That would be fine except, from that angle and from the angle looking into the micro-usb port, I can see the screen and slider separating a bit when opening the slider. I'm worried about that making the slider loose over time.

View 49 Replies View RelatedI have about 2 gigs of music on my sd card and my phone still runs smooth as silk. Then I put 8 or 9 gigs worth of videos (mp4's) on there and the whole phone started lagging BIG TIME. Like, lagging more than a...Err, slower than a...Well, something. I mean, I'd swipe from one home screen to the next and the screen wouldn't actually change for 4-5 seconds; And scrolling up and down through gchat IM's or in the app drawer was VERY choppy. I tried a power cycle and a battery pull to no avail. The only thing I did before this laggy behaivor started was dragging-and-dropping those videos onto the card, so I tried deleting them, power cycled the phone and now I'm back to the original smoothness.
I suppose I can live without watching videos on my phone (though, they would have come in handy on a roadtrip I have later this week), but has anyone experienced anything like this?
If you have a home replacement, could you swap it with Launcher.apk and have it be the only one running, or would that not work?

I can not buy or commit to anything without a bunch of reviews and , of course full specs. So when waited patiently for the countdown to end , I was hoping for an unveiling with meat. Now I've spent an hour and a half everywhere online, but nothing is really new. Has anyone seen an official spec sheet, final copy? I've seen the one that got posted by mistake last week on verizon , but has either motorola or verizon posted anything official? How about reviews, will they come after the 6th, or sooner?
View 46 Replies View RelatedI just got home with my new Droid and I am wondering if I got a lemon. My screen seems very dim. I didnt really notice it in the store, however compared to my Droid Eris (which is at about 30% screen brightness) the Droid looks much dimmer, even when its at 100% brightness. The only other thing I can think of is that its the Invisible Shield the guy at Best Buy applied for free. Do they dim the screen at all? With my Eris I can literally have it turned to 25% brightness and it seems brighter than the Droid at full. As does my iPod touch. It has to be turned down to 50% or so before it matches the Droid at full. I have turned off auto brightness and manually turned up the Droid to full.
