I recently took out my Droid X sim card, and put it in my computer. I opened it up, and added a folder, and placed some videos on it from my old phone I had backed up on my comp. I put the sim in the phone, and I cant find the damn folder anywhere. Is there a certain place to put this folder? Im confused. I put another folder on it with pics, and that one shows up.

I recently came across a web site that described a piece of software that could be installed on a Mac computer to make transferring files a bit more automatic. This is part of the description: "On Motorola's phones, like the Droid X, there's an app that they really want you to install on your Windows or Mac system, and it makes sense to do so. View 7 Replies View RelatedI uploaded about 50 pictures from iPhoto (using a Mac) just to see what they looked like and then later formatted the Droid's SD card, so the pictures were no longer there.
Now, if I mount the Droid via USB and view the file structure there is a folder named /albumthumbs which contains 50 files, presumably for the 50 pictures a had on the SD card.
To me, these file, unless linking to actual photos stored on the SD card, take up extra space in the phone's memory (not worried about the SD card). I wonder if I can safely delete them (just the files...not the folder)?
When my HTC Eris is connected to the computer i cant transfer any files at all, i think this may be due to the fact that i dont have htc sync but it should treat the memory card as a flash drive, shouldnt it?

I have plugged both phones into my computer and tried that with just one picture to see if it would work and I could not find the picture that I moved. Can someone please give me some step by step instructions on this? Also while I have you guys attention for a moment I am also having problems hooking up the hot spot. My computer is saying that it is reading it and says it is connected but when I pull up the web it says that it can not be connected.

I installed HTC sync manager on my computer, but when i try to connect with the phone it says some bull**** on the phone like "make sure you have installed the application on the computer and that it is open" I have installed it and it is open!!! My evo wont do anything once paired to my computer via bluetooth. i paired it successfully, then later i wanted to send a file from my phone to my computer via bluetooth, (i have ftp enabled) and told my computer to expect a file and nothing. it doesn't work. also when i check the pairing profile on my computer, under services it is COMPLETELY blank, there should be some services like dial-up modem and bluetooth speakers and stuff shouldn't there be?

Now when I plug the phone in Media Share pops up with numerous menus and sub menus. Best I've been able to figure out to do is copy one individual file at a time to some mystery folder somewhere on my network. Or using DLNA it opens up Windows Media Player on my computer which shows previews of the photos but no way to transfer the actual files.

I am running a CM11 Nightly on my jfltevzw. I am trying to update to a new nightly by dragging and dropping it onto my phone, the way I always do. However for some reason when I try to do it now, I get an error message saying "Cannot copy item: This device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected." even though it shows up on my explorer.
