General :: Can't Access Files On Phone From Computer Anymore
Jan 7, 2013when i plug the phone to the computer it says its conected. but i cant access any of my files or gallery. n i do have usb debugging on.

I put the sim in the phone, and I cant find the damn folder anywhere. Is there a certain place to put this folder? Im confused. I put another folder on it with pics, and that one shows up.

When I start the tether, I don't receive any errors (although I haven't checked the log), but when I look for the Droids access point, it's not shown on the list. I have access control enabled and it hasn't notified me that a device is trying to connect. I followed and have only done the following to root and to install wireless tether to the phone:

I do understand how to use assets in android but now problem is that file sizes are more than 1MB and so android gives error Data Exceeds UNCOMPRESS_DATA_MAX (2183588 vs 1048576). how to access such larger files from assets? Also I cant reduce a file into small buffers because i am just sending it to "DocumentBuilder.parse(in)" as a whole so can not use buffer. The error is on line: Document doc = db.parse(in).

Feb 11, 2010I have to make a dedicated image viewer app for Android 2.x.
There are too many jpeg image files: about 2000~ jpegs, over 100MB.
I want access the image files with their file names,
but I couldn't find such an example.
By the way, is it okay to put many image files in /res/drawable folder?
I heard that the android application cannot be installed on sdcard and
the program repository is very small so 100MB app cannot be installed generally.
I found some examples which download the large data files on sdcard online,
but I cannot run a web server to host the data files,
and I must upload the fully packaged program on Android Market. (Should I build one apk file?)
What are the best practices for managing too many resource images (or something) in Android?

And I uninstalled my stock version of LP so I could install the new version...only problem is I already un installed the ADW that came with RubiX...now I have no home launcher and can't access my app drawer to get into Astro to install the new LP. Nov 22, 2010I'm plugging my phone into my computer (Windows 7), but when I try to view sd card contents I am getting "Please insert disk" notification. It recognizes that I have it plugged in and it charges, but I can't access any of my phone files. I was able to do this 5 hours ago and since I've had this phone, this has never happened before. Before when I plugged my phone in I instantly got a pop up asking if I want to see files, but now I can't even access them without that. No idea where this new problem just came from.

1. uninstalling doubletwist
2. connecting, going back from charger only to disk drive.
3. ejecting the removable hardware and switching from charger only to disk drive and still nothing.

Set up the files for sharing on the computers.
On my Droid clicked on "Media Share" -> "Start" -> "Computer" -> "Copy" -> "Windows File Sharing" -> "Next" -> Shared 3 folders on my computer. -> "Next" -> Verified my home network was availabe, clicked "Next" -> clicked "Next" -> "Shared Folders" -> "Add Server" -> "Scan for Servers" ->
At this point it finds the IP address of the laptop Im working on. using DHCP. But when I click on it, it keeps asking for a user name and password. dont have one for XP and no password on the files.
