Except for browser, maps and market. I was browsing google images hit the home button and they were gone. Restarted the phone and theyre still gone. I could manually drag everything back to place but is there an easier way to restore it the way I had it?

Tried to search but couldnt find anything on this.
Here is what is happening with my Droid. I have the official release on my Droid and when I leave and app (Like Dolphin or Handcent) my icons on my home screens take 5-10 secs to refresh and it can take another 5 seconds before my home screen will react to any touches.
Also when I unlock my phone it can take close to 20 secs sometimes (not all the time) for my icons to come in and it takes at least 5 secs no matter what to get my screen to react to any touches.
Is anyone else having this issue? What can I do? Now I almost wish I had never updgraded to 2.2.....
Has anyone else noticed their icons moving around [by themselves] on the home screen? A couple of days ago, the "Phone" icon suddenly appears on the left-most home screen rather than on the center one. Today, I discovered that I had 2 Gmail icons on my home screen. I thought that it was my imagination, but this has happened a couple of other times.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMotorola Droid 2.2 Froyo rooted Bugless Beast 0.5. Randomly (Maybe 2/5) when I press home from the browser, an application, ending a call, etc. All of my icons will disappear for 4-5 seconds. Please tell me if you know of a fix or anything about this problem, I've seen other topics about this but no solutions that worked.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just manually updated to 2.01, and everything went fine on the upgrade, no errors. Seems rather zippy, however now when I open the keyboard and the home screen shift to a horizontal layout, all my home screen icons (and widgets) disappear. On all three home screens. Everything is still there in the "all items" menu on the bottom. I'm not getting any kind of crash indicator, or force close or anything. A reboot brings it back, at least until I open the keyboard again. It's pretty consistent, although it seems I can avoid the problem by not opening the keyboard when it's on the home screen (only doing so when in an app). Never saw this with 2.0. I've googled around and seen other folks having similar problems, but no fixes mentioned, and none specifically referring to 2.0.1.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Hero was working perfectly with my googlemail calendar. then today, all the calendar events disappeared from my phone. i have tried unchecking and rechecking my googlemail calendar from the HTC calendar app but to no avail. other calendars work fien with my phone (UK holidays, USA holidays), it's only my googlemail calendar which is linked to my Hero which has stopped working correctly. i have also tried restarting the phone. all the calendar's events are visible online through my computer...they've just suddenly stopped showing up on my phone. any advice/ideas?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI Installed Smoked Glass V5.0 from V4.5. I ended up doing it twice, and to make a long story short I lost my files in AK Notebook.
Here's my question:
1. Should I backup my current configuration
2. Then "Restore" my backup prior to upgrade
3. Grab my files (hoping they will be there) toss them on my mac
4. Then just "Restore" back to where I am now?
Need those files by tomorrow, any assistance is much appreciated. It's not that it's an emergency without them, but I will have to do some legwork to gather that info again.
Whenever I am using any app and press the home button, the home screen blacks out for a few secs and it takes around 10 sec to get all the icons back and before I can start using my phone again. I am using a non rooted mytouch 3g.
This problem does not happen if I exit an app by pressing the back button. It becomes very annoying at times.
Has anybody figured out how to change icons? For example, I have a web shortcut on my home screen for Google and the default icon for it is a real eyesore.

All my Outlook contacts and calendar suddenly disappeared. Using Droid with firmware version 2.1 update 1. Anyone else experience this? Forum has a couple of posts but mostly they seem to be related to operator error. FYI, I don't use the Google method discussed here to sync. I sync via an ap named CL USB Sync but had not used it in awhile.
View 3 Replies View RelatedBeen running Rubix since 1.6 release. Recently updated to 1.8.9. Been running it for a day then decided to theme it. I put Buyers Beware on it and ran it for half a day. Ran great!! Saved a backup and then flashed back to my bare 1.8.9 backup and installed Sinful Blue theme. Ran this theme for a day. Last night I noticed that my Settings menu was missing. It wasn't there. Couldn't find it anywhere. Opened spare part to look at battery info and it forced closed. Then I noticed that everything in spare parts FC'ed. Fed up I flashed back my good Buyers Beware backup. Once rebooted there was no service. Funny, unlocked the phone and there is no dialer. It says that application isn't loaded on my phone. Also my contacts app is gone. Gettin' worried. Flashed back to my bare 1.8.9 backup and everything works great. For kicks and giggles I rebooted recovery and loaded the Buyers Beware theme again, the one that worked great when I first installed....NO DIALER AGAIN! Back to bare 1.8.9 I go.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo for some reason my vibrate will no longer work on texts (haven't got any calls yet should probably try it). A couple of my buddies are having problems with theirs not vibrating too however I did just root and they're running on stock stuff (one just dropped his on his driveway though so he thinks that's the reason).
Is it do to rooting or is it happening to anyone else?
On the car dock the "Car Home" was default to the home key on the Droid. If I backed out of Car Home to get to an app or something, I would just touch the Home key and it would get me back to car home.

- I rooted my phone about 2 weeks ago with no problems (with DoRoot)
- last night I installed rom manager and bootstrapper as well as REVOlution for Apex
- at some point, my phone contacts disappeared
- failed my attempt to revert to stock with factory data reset
- downloaded RSD lite and Dx 2.2 sbf from http://rootzwiki.com/
- installed it through the bootloader
- attempted to root (with DoRoot again) but command prompt doesn't recognize adb as an internal/external command
- I followed these directions, all 3 sections, and it still doesn't work (How To: Set Up ADB/USB Drivers for Android Devices | TheUnlockr)
Desktop Visualizer has disappeared from the market. Its still on appbrain and androlib but I can't download via barcode scanner or fast web installer. Anybody got a PM with the apk for me? or a work around so I can get it?
