HTC Droid Eris :: Loose Sense With All Icons Apps
Feb 6, 2010I've been hovering on the "Let's see you UI" thread for the last day or so. Really liking the icons some of you guys are showing. But everyone seems to being using Better Cut or Dxtop or something other than the standard UI. My questions.
1. If I download the above apps, do I loose Sense?
2. If yes to above, is there a way to use these cool icons on the standard UI so I can keep Sense?

Apr 2, 2010I have done a little bit or searching for this but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. So if it is out there then I am sorry for the repetitive post.I just updated to 2.1, and can't figure out how to switch to the Home instead of HTC Sense Home? Anyone out there know how to do this? Before on 1.5 OS, all I had to do was hold down the "Home" button to display my most recent 6 apps, then hit the button again to pick if I wanted "Home" or "HTC Sense".Now, that does not work.

Jan 19, 2010I've read that s ome have turned off Sense and have seen an improvement in performance and battery life running vanilla ANDROID.
If one uses Home Switcher does that accomplish the same thing, or is Sense still running in the background?

Aug 14, 2010Tried to search but couldnt find anything on this.
Here is what is happening with my Droid. I have the official release on my Droid and when I leave and app (Like Dolphin or Handcent) my icons on my home screens take 5-10 secs to refresh and it can take another 5 seconds before my home screen will react to any touches.
Also when I unlock my phone it can take close to 20 secs sometimes (not all the time) for my icons to come in and it takes at least 5 secs no matter what to get my screen to react to any touches.
Is anyone else having this issue? What can I do? Now I almost wish I had never updgraded to 2.2.....
Android :: Using Any App And Press Home Button Home Screen Blacks Out - 10 Sec Delay Get All Icons Back
Mar 30, 2010Whenever I am using any app and press the home button, the home screen blacks out for a few secs and it takes around 10 sec to get all the icons back and before I can start using my phone again. I am using a non rooted mytouch 3g.
This problem does not happen if I exit an app by pressing the back button. It becomes very annoying at times.
Motorola Droid :: Moving Icons On Home Screen
Nov 16, 2009Has anyone else noticed their icons moving around [by themselves] on the home screen? A couple of days ago, the "Phone" icon suddenly appears on the left-most home screen rather than on the center one. Today, I discovered that I had 2 Gmail icons on my home screen. I thought that it was my imagination, but this has happened a couple of other times.

Randomly (Maybe 2/5) when I press home from the browser, an application, ending a call, etc. All of my icons will disappear for 4-5 seconds. Dec 9, 2009I just manually updated to 2.01, and everything went fine on the upgrade, no errors. Seems rather zippy, however now when I open the keyboard and the home screen shift to a horizontal layout, all my home screen icons (and widgets) disappear. On all three home screens. Everything is still there in the "all items" menu on the bottom. I'm not getting any kind of crash indicator, or force close or anything. A reboot brings it back, at least until I open the keyboard again. It's pretty consistent, although it seems I can avoid the problem by not opening the keyboard when it's on the home screen (only doing so when in an app). Never saw this with 2.0. I've googled around and seen other folks having similar problems, but no fixes mentioned, and none specifically referring to 2.0.1.

Feb 25, 2010Today i noticed that when i leave an application either by backing out or pressing home, sense has to reload. It first flashes the HTC sign, then it takes about 10 seconds to load my home screen. Now this morning i installed an update for "spare parts". Im assuming this was the culprit so I un installed. Still having the problem though. Extremely annoying!

Feb 19, 2010Sense UI keeps crashing on me! It used to happen maybe once every couple weeks but now I get it 2-3 times a day. I just got Pandahome last night and when I switch from Panda to Sense it restarts sense maybe 1 out of 10 times but the crashing problem began before then so I don't know what's causing it. I'd try a hard reset but last time I did that my phone wouldn't activate and it took Verizon 3 hours to fix.
