HTC EVO 4G :: Get My Icons And Home Screens Back?
Nov 19, 2010I cannot see any of my screens. I just see a black screen. The screen has no background but it is black but lit up or active [not black like when it is off though]. No response to hitting any of the 4 buttons[home,menu,return, search]. I only get a response when I hold down the home key. A message pops up saying 'Recent Apps' and 'No recent apps'. I'm wondering if it is trying to respond but bogged down with an app.
This all started after I installed a Koi screen saver. The screen saver works and lets me close the screen saver but goes to a blank screen. Don't see anything. Sound rocker responds, power button works, I even heard mail arriving. Feel pretty dumb.
Android :: Moving Icons On Home Screen Or Between Screens?
Dec 28, 2009is there a way to move the icons without having to remove them and then pick a new place? If not - why with the nice slide functionality, can you not just slide them around on the same screen or the the next?

Aug 6, 2013I'm a bit into customizing my home screens to make it look like the ones on mycolorscreen.com and in those UCCW threads.
But there is one thing thats bugging me, and that is the use of app icons on the home screen. I dont like it, its too messy and too iOS'ish.
Some are replacing the app icons with other custom icons, or removes them completely, but i rarely see what i've been trying to do; to make custom icons that open a meny of apps (in one genre..)
Like one icon for music apps, and one for travel apps etc.
I have tried to fix this using tasker widgets, like this:
and when i click on the music icon, which is a tasker widget, it opens a tasker scene with a meny of 4 music apps:
This works pretty good, but i would like the tasker widget icons to be just icons, no subtext under the icon. There is no way in tasker to do this i think, i've tried to make a task with no name but it is simply not allowed.
I've also tried to make a uccw widget, but hotspots in uccw can open apps and shortcut, not a many of apps..
i know that i can make the launcher remove text under icons, but this doen not apply to my tasker widgets.
Sprint HTC Hero :: Move / Delete Application Icons From Home Screens?
Apr 15, 2010I know how to remove widgets... you long press on them to move them/delete them. My problem is this: I don't know how to remove regular icons on the Hero. On the Moment, everything was simply long press to remove. On this, long pressing the application icons on my home screen(s) just opens the associated programs. I kind of wanted to move them around, I don't wanna have to delete a scene everytime I want to move one icon around.
In short: How do you move/delete application icons from the home screens? (long pressing doesn't work for me)
Android :: BetterCut - Apps Organizer - FolderOrganizer - Changing Icons On Home Screens
Jun 14, 2010I am wanting to change the icons for a lot of my apps on my home screens. I have been looking at BetterCut, Apps Organizer, and Folder Organizer. Now Apps Organizer is free and Folder Organizer has a free trial version, but Better cut is not free not does BetterCut have a free trial version.
Please tell me what you like/dislike about the apps, primarily BetterCut and Folder Organizer (paid).
*How do they run?
*Are there any major bugs?
Is it easy to change the icons for apps on my home screens?
*Is BetterCut really worth $2?
*Is Folder Organizer really worth $1.35?
Are any of these going to meet my needs of wanting to change the icons on my home screens?
*Are the icons dependant on the app that changed them (in other words, if I uninstall BetterCut after changing an icon, will the icon still be what I changed it to, or will it go back to the default icon)?
*If you had $2 and could only choose one of these apps to change the icons on your home screen, which would you choose?
I am going to play around with the two free versions of these apps and see if I like them, but unfortunately, BetterCut is an all or nothing app. I just don't want to feel like I wasted any money because the app ended up not doing what I wanted it to do.
HTC Droid Eris :: When Update Come To Reset Home Screens / Settings?
Jan 22, 2010Does anyone have any ideas on when the update comes if it is going to reset our home screens and settings and all that good stuff. I came from the blackberry world where any major os upgrade meant you needed to back up your phone first before doing the update otherwise all of you stuff was gone when you were done.

Feb 25, 2010So oddly enough my wife's Eris does not let her long press ANY of the bottom two rows of app icons/widgets. I can long press any of the top two rows apps/widgets fine to remove or add in an empty space. but the bottom two rows I can't remove or add with a long press.anyone else have this issue? I'm trying to figure out whats new but she isn't that into her phone so she never installs stuff on it, im the one tweaking and playing with her phone and I haven't touched it in a week this started happening randomly 2 days ago.

Why the flip do the widgets lock into such ridiculous places!? Sometimes you could fit a whole other line of regular icons in the space that they leave!

HTC Incredible :: Reduce Number Of Home Screens Remember Last Home Screen
Jul 7, 2010Two things I'd like to be able to do with my incredible.First is reduce the number of homescreens. Seven is really pointless for me, it makes finding the right screen take a little longer and there's just not enough good quality widgets that I need to use. I could do better with 5 and possibly just 3.Second is that when I'm not on a homescreen and I hit the home button, I'd like it to go back to the LAST homescreen I was on, not the center one. And if I'm already on a homescreen, once again pull up the homescreen select menu, instead of going to the center homescreen. It's a waste of a button press to always go to that center screen when pressing the home button.

Press and hold the Home key. Run Steamy Window. Wipe away all the steam. Hit the menu button and save the image. It seems like a lot of steps, but it is pretty quick and easy. The only thing the pic won't capture is the notification bar.

Apr 18, 2010Today I updated to the latest cyanogenmod and like I always do I restore all of my apps with Titanium. However, when I restored helix, none of my apps were restored to their appropriate home screen like it normally is. It's a pain to drag them all one by one again to where I want them. Am I missing something, or is there an app out there that will remember them next time?
