Motorola Droid : Way To Disable LED Notification For E-mails / SMS?

Is this possible? I had my BB configured to disable all LED notifications while in its holster as my wife really has a big problem with flashing lights while we are sleeping. (yeah, i dont get it either...close your eyes and goto sleep!) Anyway, since getting the Droid she has started that old complaint again about my phone flashing at night...soooo...is there any way to disable LED notification for e-mails and SMS? A locale plugin would be great, but I'll take whatever I can get to keep the peace!

How to disable the automatic 2.1 popup that is constantly displayed every time I unlock my phone? I imagine it would be something like renaming a certain file, but I guess I'd have to know the name of the correct file first.

Is it possible to disable the notification sound that plays when I connect my phone to my PC? I tried upchucking SD card notifications, but thats not it. It is really annoying to have to hear that loud sound when I am in the office. Thanks

As the title says: my mail notification shows that I have six emails (that is: the white number in the green circle) no matter whether I have no emails or plenty. When I delete my emails, it still shows six. I've tried rebooting. It used to work OK. Any ideas?

Anyone know why this is? I think one is from the e-mail app, but the other I'm not sure where it links to. I think ti's from the account google I have added (both are g-mail). Anyway to get one notification?

I have finally figured out why I don't always get a notification for new mails on my HTC Hero.
I have setup an Exchange account for the build in mail application that comes with the phone, and I want it to give me a notification when I receive a new e-mail.
This will however only happen if the mail ends up in the Inbox folder in my Exchange account.
I do not get any notification if I have a rule that moves the mail automatically to a sub folder in the Inbox.
I like to sort my mails using a folder for each sender and I use the rules in Outlook to do this automatically, but this prevents the notification feature in the HTC Hero mail application from working.
I can still refresh a folder in the phone mail program and download all received mails, but no notifications and I have to do this manually.
It seems to me that the Inbox folder is only folder to be updated automatically by the ActiveSync connection.
I have my Data Syncronization settings set to As Items Arrive.
So do any of you out there know how to get the mail program to download all new mails as they arrive and give a notification on the phone, not matter what folder the mail ends up in on the Echange server?

You know what I'm talking about: for example when you get multiple new emails the notification icon in the status bar is augmented with a little red circle that contains number of unread mails. Twitroid has the same icon. Any idea how it's done? I don't think (or so I hope) there are 10000 similar icons. Is this red circle generated and overlaid the notification icon?

Is anyone having issues not receiving some text messages and e-mails, specifically those with pictures attachments? I have a Verizon Droid and my wife lately has asked if I got her text/e-mail and I haven't. It could be on her end (she has a Blackberry), but I just wanted to check because it has happened at least 5 times in the past week or so.

I like my Motorola Droid very much but I have one issue that I can not afford to continue. When I read an email from my comcast account, it automatically deletes later on in the day or when I open my account on a computer. This is very discouraging as information is not available on the phone unexpectedly.

So I'm obviously new to this whole setup but was curious if there was a way for the Email / Gmail to show how many emails are new? My best example would be how the Iphone shows you without opening your icon how many emails you have? (for me its to show me which account has an email) Second question - Whats the difference between Email / Gmail / Gmail Tags in android? They all do the same thing with a differ.

I have setup my yahoo account on my droid, and it is working, but is overworking. What is happening is I keep getting the emails over and over no matter how many times I delete them. I dont understand what I am doing wrong. It works but I delete the emails and they come again and again. I had to delete the account to stop the endless loop.

I have a Moto Droid and just recently it stopped receiving e-mails (I assume phone calls and texts, as well though I never tested). I have 2 Comcast POP3 emails setup on my phone to sync every 30 minutes. Randomly, the phone will stop receiving e-mails--I can't manually sync and end up having to turn the phone off and on (not pulling the battery) to receive e-mails again. This happened with my old BB too. Does anyone know of a reason why my phone stops functioning properly?

I'm receiving incoming e-mails on droid, and the outgoing e-mails are in the sent box, as though they have been sent. I've checked 3 different e-mail accounts that I sent e-mails to from the droid and none have been received. It has been a couple of hours since sent, any suggestions?

Been trying for a month to get my business POP3 email to pull down on the Droid. Have tried both the default email app and K9. I am able to send email from the default app, but it will not receive. Just says 'Connection error'. Have checked the settings a dozen times. They are correct. 1st time I tried K9 3 weeks ago, I got no where. C"connection errors". Today I reinstalled it, and all of the sudden it starts pulling down headers. But - about half the emails I click on won't pull down the rest of the message. Just sits there and says 'Downloading...', then after several seconds says 'Connection error'. This is when I start cussing profusely. Sending email from K9 seems to work ok.Anybody else having this same issue? Suggestions? Is there another email app to try?

Can someone tell me why when I get a notification for a new Gmail e-mail, I pull down the notification slider and click on it to view it. After that the notification still remains and I have to pull the slider down again to view it again. Then it clears it. Is the first one some type of preview that I can disable getting a notification for?

As stated. I am using anti theft software that forces my phone to switch on wifi and GPS but as soon as it does I get that message telling me something is using my GPS etc. This looks suspicious to a potential thief in my opinion so I want to know if there was anyway at all I could remove or disable this pop up

Is there any way to disable the icons in the notification bar which appear while apps running in background without losing their full funktion?For example I have an "Anti-Virus Program", "LBE Security Master" an "Tasker" running in Background. There a little Icons shown in the Status-Bar and big notifications when I pull down the notification bar. Of course many apps have an option to disable this, but they tell me that they won't work right anymore if I would disable that. Since Jelly-Bean, I think, there is a way to disable notifications from every app but same thing here - apps seem not to work right anymore.
Is there a way to get rid of the icons or the big notifications without losing their funktion?

I have my contacts synced to facebook but I dont want to get a text notification everytime I get a message on FaceBook. Can I disable just that aspect of it? I still want to get profile and pic updates, just not notification of messeges sent to my FB inbox.

I am working on a lock screen application and am disabling the keyguard using the following code snippet which I call from a service on receiving the ACTION_SCREEN_OFF broadcast: KeyguardManager keyguardManager = KeyguardManager)getSystemService (KEYGUARD_SERVICE); KeyguardLock keyguardLock = keyguardManager.newKeyguardLock (getPackageName()); keyguardLock.disableKeyguard(); This seems to work fine, but when I return to the home screen the notification bar does not respond to touch/drag events. It's stuck and I can't drag it down until I hit the Home button. Has anyone seen this behavior? As far as I know there is no way to disable the dragging of the notification bar programatically. Perhaps something I'm doing is triggering a bug? Any ideas?

Got my new Hero and super excited! I am looking to disable notifications in my IM app (IM+ by shapeservices) - is this possible? Reason being - I dont that when I get a message it shows in the notifications bar... is there some scripting I can do? is there a IM app out there that doesnt show any type of notification when an IM is received?
