Android :: Notification Bar Stuck After Disable Keyguard

I am working on a lock screen application and am disabling the keyguard using the following code snippet which I call from a service on receiving the ACTION_SCREEN_OFF broadcast: KeyguardManager keyguardManager = KeyguardManager)getSystemService (KEYGUARD_SERVICE); KeyguardLock keyguardLock = keyguardManager.newKeyguardLock (getPackageName()); keyguardLock.disableKeyguard(); This seems to work fine, but when I return to the home screen the notification bar does not respond to touch/drag events. It's stuck and I can't drag it down until I hit the Home button. Has anyone seen this behavior? As far as I know there is no way to disable the dragging of the notification bar programatically. Perhaps something I'm doing is triggering a bug? Any ideas?

How can I disable the keyguard when a broadcast receiver is activated by screen_on, so that when it occurs the user sees an activity that I have started behind it?(The activity is running already)I have been trying the following code from a broadcast receiver triggered by screen off.It doesn't seem to be working though as it is. When I turn the screen on, I still have to manually unlock the keyguard on the phone to reveal the activity behind it.

i am porting android to our custom board. When android first time boots up, it is proper, i able to go into apps window and able to work. But, if i boot the android for next time, the andorid boots up and goes to main screen, where the screen gets locked displaying "Press Menu to unlock". I've factory reset my phone 3 times today for data problems and push email issues. Since the last time, I have a voicemail icon in my notification bar, clicking on it tells me to call my GV number to hear 3 messages. I cleared the messages in the GV app,but the notification wont go away. It has no Clear button to dismiss. I've rebooted the phone, tried calling the number, but have not yet tried throwing it against the wall. That's next. Any ideas to help calm my OCD by dismissing this notification are appreciated.Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk

I'm just wondering if I do this correctly; I'm programming a notification app which can display a notification when the phone is sleeping
Disable keyguard lock. Aquire a wake lock. show notification. Set alarm for timeout and reenabling keyguard and release wakelock is the user dont touches the screen. 4.1 User touches the screen, and I disable the timer. Do nothing more. Done and done 4.2 User dont touch the screen, so reenable keyguard and release wakelock. Phone sleeps again
Basically I'm wondering about point 4.1 the most. cancel the pendingintent for the alarm, and do nothing more? or should the keyguard and wakelock that are set be dealt with in some way?

Does anyone know how to do this correctly? I can't find any examples & the API documentation is pretty hard to follow.I am guessing I need to use the KeyGuardManager and PowerManager... but can't figure out how to bring my activity up past the keyguard and re-enable the keyguard so my activity doesn't let someone get past the lock when my activity awakens.

I have an application in which there will be a service continuously running in background and on certain conditions service should call an activity or pop-up a dialog. I think this is possible. The question is, in case device keyguard gets on say after 2 minutes of idle time then will the service continue running in background. And what will happen when the condition of opening pop-up or Activity is reached.

I'm editing a stock rom retail BR 4.4.2 of Moto X. I needed edit the SystemUI.apk for add a feature, and for this i should add a line in the AndroidManifest.xml, when i did all the modifications and install the rom, i get this message "KeyguardTestActivity has stopped". I have identified that the problem stay in the modification in the AndroidManifest.xml, and the "KeyguardTestActivity" is the app Keyguard.apk that is the lockscreen. I don't know why this don't work! I'm using the last apktool, i have installed the framework-res.apk of the stock rom!

Is it possible to programmatically disable and enable the led indicator light on an Android device? I am not referring to just turning it on and off as in a notification. I did not see anything in the api that would do so. I am guessing this is hardware specific if it is possible at all.

I've been using Go SMS Pro for a long time and have never had this problem. When I get a new text, the Go icon shows up in my notification bar as usual (I have it set to do this), but when I access that text message either from the notification bar pull-down or through the Go SMS app itself, the icon still remains in my notification bar. The only way to remove it is to pull down my notifications and hit "clear". I believe I have all my settings in order (stock notifs off, etc.).

I am developing an Application for SMS.
1. Can i have only my own notification in status bar not native android one while receiving a SMS? Currently it is showing both. I think if i would disable the notification then it could also disable my one too.
OR
2. Can i receive my sms at any custom port? If yes then how and while receiving that would i see the native notification in status bar?

I was deleting a sms thread from a particular person, when at the same time, this person sent me a SMS. I was not able to open the SMS by tapping on the envelope icon on the notification, however I am able to clear it from the notification. BUT each time I receive a SMS this notification pops up again, so each time i have to clear this msg. What can i do to get rid of it?

As the title says: my mail notification shows that I have six emails (that is: the white number in the green circle) no matter whether I have no emails or plenty. When I delete my emails, it still shows six. I've tried rebooting. It used to work OK. Any ideas?

I opened an attachment from Gmail. The file started downloading but before it could start something weird happened and network connectivity was last.
It's notification in the notification bar is still there which does not go even after rebooting. Notification when pulled down does like this...

Can someone tell me why when I get a notification for a new Gmail e-mail, I pull down the notification slider and click on it to view it. After that the notification still remains and I have to pull the slider down again to view it again. Then it clears it. Is the first one some type of preview that I can disable getting a notification for?

As stated. I am using anti theft software that forces my phone to switch on wifi and GPS but as soon as it does I get that message telling me something is using my GPS etc. This looks suspicious to a potential thief in my opinion so I want to know if there was anyway at all I could remove or disable this pop up

Is there any way to disable the icons in the notification bar which appear while apps running in background without losing their full funktion?For example I have an "Anti-Virus Program", "LBE Security Master" an "Tasker" running in Background. There a little Icons shown in the Status-Bar and big notifications when I pull down the notification bar. Of course many apps have an option to disable this, but they tell me that they won't work right anymore if I would disable that. Since Jelly-Bean, I think, there is a way to disable notifications from every app but same thing here - apps seem not to work right anymore.
Is there a way to get rid of the icons or the big notifications without losing their funktion?

Stuck downloading icons in notification bar. Have power cycled and even removed phone battery icons still show up. Dont want to do a reset. Any other suggestions for being rid of this? Just driving me crazy!

I have my contacts synced to facebook but I dont want to get a text notification everytime I get a message on FaceBook. Can I disable just that aspect of it? I still want to get profile and pic updates, just not notification of messeges sent to my FB inbox.

Is this possible? I had my BB configured to disable all LED notifications while in its holster as my wife really has a big problem with flashing lights while we are sleeping. (yeah, i dont get it either...close your eyes and goto sleep!) Anyway, since getting the Droid she has started that old complaint again about my phone flashing at night...soooo...is there any way to disable LED notification for e-mails and SMS? A locale plugin would be great, but I'll take whatever I can get to keep the peace!

Got my new Hero and super excited! I am looking to disable notifications in my IM app (IM+ by shapeservices) - is this possible?
