View 4 RepliesI have a ton of videos that were transferred from my old phone to my Eris, and they must have been saved to the phone's built in memory. I want to transfer them to the card so I can put them into my computer. Does anyone know how to do this? I have been unable to sync using the cord because of a driver issue. (I am too un-tech savvy to install a driver from the website-it was too complicated)
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo with the last few ROMs I've had installed, I've tried moving apps to the sdcard. I figured it would be a good thing, even if I wasn't running out of room. Every time I move more than just a few apps to the sdcard, my whole phone starts getting laggy. I just moved all of my apps back to phone and the "lagginess" is gone. I currently have UD8.0 installed, but it has behaved this way with LFY and Pete's BB ROMs as well. So it doesn't seem to be a ROM related.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm on 2.2 bugless beast .4 right now. Tonight I was transfering a movie to my phone via usb. Long story short, I needed to cancel the transfer in the middle and remove my phone. Now my phone is freezing like mad, and I absolutely can't connect to my computer (not to mention that freezes it completely.) Removing the SD card seems to help, but not much. Anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm just trying to transfer the pictures I've taken on the Droid X so far to my PC. However, when I plug the phone into my laptop (via provided USB cable), the only two options I get are:
Install Motorola Driver
Open Folder to View Files
Okay, should be the second option. But when I click on this (Open Folder), the only folder options I get are things like: Autorun, Config, Setup, etc.). No "folders" per se.
I want to do a factory reset now that I have 2.2, but I'm traveling without my computer and need to transfer my pics and music from within the phone. There must be an app for that, right?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI know that I can put applications on my SD card now that the phone is rooted (very easily using Liquid Frozen Yogurt). Anyways, what I was wondering is if I put all my apps on my SD card, what happens when/if I reflash my ROM? Will I have to wipe the SD card, reinstall the Apps and reback them up top the SD card? Or does it install once the SD card with the programs is inserted?

View 10 Replies View RelatedToday I purchased a higher capacity micro sd card. There is a similar thread but no info on apps that are instaled to the card. If I just copy everything to the new card will the apps still work? Or do I need to move all the apps to the phone and just transfer my media, bookmarks etc?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my Droid X to 2.2, When I try to move apps to my SD card only certain apps will allow this. Many apps have the "move to SD" button disabled. Is this the way it's supposed to be?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to clean my SD card with applications on it, but it's not obvious where those apps reside. I understand they may be encrypted, which is fine. I have no intention of copying or trading them. I just would like to know what NOT to delete so that I don't mistakenly erase them from my card.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to move apps/games onto my SD Card, I have an 8gb sd card and its 95% free, the memory on my phone is almost at full capacity, and I keep getting that annoying message that says "Low on Space" on my notifications bar.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI am trying to move a couple of apps onto my SD card. I know you long press the app you want to move, and select the choice to move it. is TiBu shows the notification of it being moved. I then go back into setting, look at the apps on SD card, and they do not show up. I am running NexBeast FRF57 V0.1.1. My Titanium Backup is at version 3.2.4, I can reboot, still doesnt work. Superuser shows Titanium has permissions, so I am not sure what the deal is.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm having more new app install issues. My sd card shows it has 6.5 gig free, but I cannot install to it from market place. If I unmount, I can install to the phones memory, but then I also cannot move apps to the sd card.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI thought that when we have 2.2 we can move apps to the SD card and we are able to set up apps to auto update I am not seeing either feature
View 1 Replies View RelatedAre new applications automatically stored on the memory card? Do all photos/videos go to the memory card by default? What is the max memory this phone can handle? Can photos/videos be renamed? I haven't been able to find an menu setting to do this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSomething happened that should've never happened and now I have to make a new google account and try to rebuild everything. Gmail, igoogle, voice, etc. I did some poking around, but it seems no one has ever asked about any way of transferring paid apps from one google account to another. Is this possible, or am I now $20+ in the hole on apps I can no longer use on top of everything else that has happened? For some reason, google flags things that the built-in search can't catch. Transfer Paid Apps to a New Phone?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid X running 2.2. I'm trying to understand the advantages of storing apps on the SD Card vs Phone storage. Since the Droid X comes with 8GB of phone storage, I've got lots of room there. What would be some reasoning behind moving apps to the SD card? I see lots of people get excited when a favorite app adds SD card support, but why exactly? Maybe it's more of an advantage for phones with less phone storage? Also, how come in manage applications, it says that the app takes up way less space when it's on the SD Card? For example, I just installed Angry Birds and it put itself on the SD Card when it installed. It showed 1.83MB in size. When I moved it to the SD Card, it showed 14.06MB.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWith the problems I've been hearing about the SD card that's included with the EVO, I've been in a quandary over what to do: I have an 8GB Class 6 MicroSD Card that I believe trumps the included Class 2 card that comes with the EVO, so I expect I will move everything over to that card....which begs the following - I've copied over all the photos, videos, documents, and music from my card to my PC. Should I just reformat the SD card in the device, and then copy these files over? Could I just use the SD card as I have it currently set up (I have it in my Hero at this point, running 2.1). Or should I copy the contents of the new card to my PC, add the files from my old card to that, reformat my Class 6 card, and then copy the files from the PC to this card?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a new 32 GB SD card. Made a folder on my PC and copied the content of the original SD card to folder. New folder on PC says contents 950 mb. Original SD card in Desire is 2.6 GB used space. What have I missed. Is there a better way to transfer content of Old SD card to new. What is RAW format? (Format of old SD card in phone.)
View 8 Replies View RelatedI got a Motorola Droid from Verizon in the spring. It came with a Sandisk 16gb card, but I have over 20 gb of music, so for the time being I've only kept some of my music on there. I always transferred music through the USB connection, using Windows Explorer (I have Windows 7). I have all the files tagged with title/artist/album etc. but for easy organization I have them sorted into folders - a folder for each artist, and a subfolder for each album. Right now my phone is running Froyo (Android 2.2).
My husband recently bought me a Samsung 32 gb micro SDHC card that he got on eBay. So of course as soon as it was in the phone, I wanted to transfer my music. I connected it to the computer via USB, and copied all my music folders onto it. Explorer showed that it would take a few hours for the transfer, so I left it plugged in overnight.....................
I'm getting my new lg mytouch in a couple days and i'd like to have some music to listen to. I know how to create folders, etc., but i have a question. In all the guides i looked up, people said to use a usb cable and "mount" the device, then transfer the music. My computer has a microSD card slot built in, so I can put the memory card right in the computer and transfer files to it. Will this work to listen to music?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having some major issues after upgrading from my old Class 2 (Samsung) 16 GB SD card to a new 64 GB class 10. The card seems fine, holds data and can read/write just fine.
I was able to transfer over everything in the ANDROID folder, but when it comes to pictures and other odds and ends, I can transfer them all PC side, but when I plug it into the phone, the files are either all deleted, all corrupt (and then deleted by the file system) or partially corrupt. It is tested while in the PC and the files are not corrupt.
I even tried doing a direct image from the old SD card to the new. (using HDD raw copy tool). Verified all files were there to the kilobyte - Put the SD card in phone and poof! Most of the files, especially everything under DCIM, gone.
Is this a 4.4 issue? A transfer method issue? Or possibly a card issue? I am on Verizon GS5 and cannot root, but want to store as much of my data on the SD card as possible..
I downloaded the V Cast Media manager and I imported my playlists from iTunes. I transferred everything to my D2 but it only transferred the Songs. Not the playlists. Is there a way to transfer by playlist or do I have to manually move songs into playlists on my phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I'm coming from the LG Voyager and was hoping there is going to be a way to get all my contacts from my phone on the DROID without having to pay Verizon to transfer it. You guys know how this is going to work since it will probably be an issue that is going to pop up?
