My phone has OS - 2.1-Update 1
What's the deal with this? It appears that only some apps can be moved to the SD card. I have been using ApptoSD which works fine but only works on a few apps. Why won't it work with everything? I keep running out of space on my phones memory and would love to move the bulk of my apps to the SD card.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi was wondering what apps are safe to move and which ones just wont move. I know system apps and those that use widgets are a no no. But what about Google maps, facebook, gmail, astro and Adobe flash player (12.4) mb?
Maybe we could have a list of what not to move here?
I have a Motorola Droid, it is not rooted and I am currently in a deployed location and have no service/access to any networks. My phone got a little wet, but still works for the most part and I want to factory reset it without losing my apps/music/contacts/pictures etc. Is there a way to move all of this stuff to the SD card using and explorer straight from the phone without using a computer? I am out of options.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was a self confessed iphone lover.. But a few days ago curiosity got me and I decided to get a Galaxy S3.
I can't say how much a love this phone and am a bit ashamed that I didn't realize how great android devices were. So far I have been able to find out on my own how to do pretty much everything I needed done except for one thing.
I work in music hence have a lot of music on my phone. I didn't want to restart the cataloging process of recreating playlist after playlist. So i found a solution to transfer my itunes to my phone.
I did this with Air Sync and DoubleTwist. The main problem I have is it put all of my music on my internal memory card and now it is full. I have a 32gb external SD card that is empty right now and was wondering if there is a solution to quickly transfer all of my music from the internal memory to the SD card. Furthermore I would like for the air sync / doubleTwist software to put all future music on the SD card as well.
Firts off, I would like to say hi to everyone, since this is my first post. Also, sorry if this topic has been discussed already, but I did a search and was unable to find what I needed. Alright, lets get to the question. I have a Moto Droid and just recently I received a notification about running out of internal memory space. Is there a way to move the apps from my internal memory to my SD card without rooting the phone? If this is not possible is there any way to free up more internal memory space?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm needing to buy a memory card before my holidays. Looking for a big one, however the 32g looks a bit too expensive so it will probably be a 16g. Are there any specific types that help the hero run faster? I remember seeing a certain thread saying how a certain type of memory card doesn't save the cache (or something along them lines!). I know that it has to be a micro SD memory card. Anybody got some good info about where to get them cheapest? Or which cards you use?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got my HTC hero and am finding even the simplest of tasks impossible. I copied all the contacts from my N82 to my memory card and want to copy them over to my HTC but cant find how to even explore the memory card.
How do I get contacts from my memory card to my phone? I only have the option of either phone or sim and they are not in either.
Is there a memorycard reader that you can olug into the usb-port on the HTC Hero phone? Lets say you are at holiday and all your friends has taken pictures with their digital cameras, you want the pictures. You take your small meorycard reader, plug the memory card from your friends camera into the reader and the reader into your phone and then copy over all the pictures.

View 12 Replies View RelatedSo I was told by a Sprint rep that if the phone memory gets below about 80 MB then the phone will start to lag. Well I can't seem to delete enough stuff to get back above 80 MB available memory, I deleted pics, texts messages and various apps that I would have liked to keep. I started playing with my wife's phone which has more apps then mine, I checked her available phone memory and she has 102 MB!!! I can't figure out what I could have on my phone memory that would be taking up over 20 MB of space. Where can I look to try and figure this out? My wife's phone is very zippy and quick, while my phone waits forever when switching apps.
Also, How do I transfer pics I have taken on my phone to the SD card instead of using phone memory?

View 4 Replies View RelatedIf I purchase an app with my current phone, and then I upgrade to a different phone in a few months, is there a way to take the apps with me? I have searched and can't find anything definitive. The ideal thing is if Google is storing my application history with my Google account somewhere, but I don't see where it would be.
