View 1 RepliesI have just bought a new 32 GB SD card. Made a folder on my PC and copied the content of the original SD card to folder. New folder on PC says contents 950 mb. Original SD card in Desire is 2.6 GB used space. What have I missed. Is there a better way to transfer content of Old SD card to new. What is RAW format? (Format of old SD card in phone.)

View 6 Replies View RelatedI wounder if anyone else has had this problem. I had a blown pixel on my Desire so i got a new one form T-Mobile. I had backed up my contacts on the SD card and when I reinstalled them to the phone all the numbers have gone into a US style format, for example the number 01345 456732 has become 013-454-56732. These are number copied to the phone and not form the sim.Has this happended to anyone else? I sthere a way of sorting this out without redoing each one?

View 4 Replies View RelatedHi,
After saving my contacts to the SD card, resetting the phone, then importing them all back, the numbers are now in the form of 012-345-67891. Does anyone know how to remove the hyphens?
Thanks
I have a ton of videos that were transferred from my old phone to my Eris, and they must have been saved to the phone's built in memory. I want to transfer them to the card so I can put them into my computer. Does anyone know how to do this? I have been unable to sync using the cord because of a driver issue. (I am too un-tech savvy to install a driver from the website-it was too complicated)

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy desire is pretty much screwed and reboots whenever it feels like it. I'm trying to move my contacts to another phone for the time being but they aren't stored on the Sim card but I know they are backed up on the SD card. Trouble is the new phone does not have an SD card slot, so I'm trying to view my contacts on the SD card so I can just manually type them in. I've got the SD card plugged into the PC but I can't seem to find a place where they are stored.Any ideas?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have over 4600 contacts to sync - which takes up too much space on the non-sd storage. I can export the contacts to SD but then Sense cant use them and the phone cant see them - I am just now learning of "rooting" - LOL but I am not convinced this will help with Outlook -- IE wont the app still look in the default directory - same as the phone. I know apps can run from the SD after rooting - but what about contacts - will I lose any functionality? Also - I am in Australia - will Rooting and using the Roms I see in here make my phone not work here?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWith the problems I've been hearing about the SD card that's included with the EVO, I've been in a quandary over what to do: I have an 8GB Class 6 MicroSD Card that I believe trumps the included Class 2 card that comes with the EVO, so I expect I will move everything over to that card....which begs the following - I've copied over all the photos, videos, documents, and music from my card to my PC. Should I just reformat the SD card in the device, and then copy these files over? Could I just use the SD card as I have it currently set up (I have it in my Hero at this point, running 2.1). Or should I copy the contents of the new card to my PC, add the files from my old card to that, reformat my Class 6 card, and then copy the files from the PC to this card?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI got a Motorola Droid from Verizon in the spring. It came with a Sandisk 16gb card, but I have over 20 gb of music, so for the time being I've only kept some of my music on there. I always transferred music through the USB connection, using Windows Explorer (I have Windows 7). I have all the files tagged with title/artist/album etc. but for easy organization I have them sorted into folders - a folder for each artist, and a subfolder for each album. Right now my phone is running Froyo (Android 2.2).
My husband recently bought me a Samsung 32 gb micro SDHC card that he got on eBay. So of course as soon as it was in the phone, I wanted to transfer my music. I connected it to the computer via USB, and copied all my music folders onto it. Explorer showed that it would take a few hours for the transfer, so I left it plugged in overnight.....................
I'm getting my new lg mytouch in a couple days and i'd like to have some music to listen to. I know how to create folders, etc., but i have a question. In all the guides i looked up, people said to use a usb cable and "mount" the device, then transfer the music. My computer has a microSD card slot built in, so I can put the memory card right in the computer and transfer files to it. Will this work to listen to music?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having some major issues after upgrading from my old Class 2 (Samsung) 16 GB SD card to a new 64 GB class 10. The card seems fine, holds data and can read/write just fine.
I was able to transfer over everything in the ANDROID folder, but when it comes to pictures and other odds and ends, I can transfer them all PC side, but when I plug it into the phone, the files are either all deleted, all corrupt (and then deleted by the file system) or partially corrupt. It is tested while in the PC and the files are not corrupt.
I even tried doing a direct image from the old SD card to the new. (using HDD raw copy tool). Verified all files were there to the kilobyte - Put the SD card in phone and poof! Most of the files, especially everything under DCIM, gone.
Is this a 4.4 issue? A transfer method issue? Or possibly a card issue? I am on Verizon GS5 and cannot root, but want to store as much of my data on the SD card as possible..
In store Verizon and customer service for over an hour led me to believe that pictures taken on my camera can NOT be transferred to the SD card that is installed. Either that is Horrible or the 4 reps I showed/spoke with are morons. I have 30 pics on my phone that I want sent to the card so I can do a hard reset. Any ideas?
View 10 Replies View RelatedSo recently I obtained a new 16 GB micro SD card which worked fine with my previous phone and typically worked well with my Galaxy SII as well, but when I went to transfer files from my computer to the card I ran into an issue. After all the files we're transferred it all seemed fine, but shortly afterward I ran into a blank SD card notification and was prompt to format via phone, which managed to format successfully. So then I went through the process again, this time putting nearly everything through a file converter before transferring. Again, everything seemed fine until a short while later when I have a blank card and prompt to format yet again. And like before the formatting seemed to work fine.
And to provide a bit more information that may be relevant, since our computer doesn't seem to play nice with my SD card (no window pops up after inserting and when attempting to read the card via My Computer it simply locks up and becomes unresponsive) when I transferred the files I did so through having my old phone plugged in with the card inserted and managed to get to it that way. With the second attempt I just used my current phone instead with hopes that it would work better that way. Unfortunately the same issue occurred as mentioned above.
So that pretty much covers it. If I had to guess it would seem that a hiccup is occurring with the transfer process that makes the card appear blank shortly afterward. Would be nice to find a way to prevent this from happening again.
I need to transfer photos and videos to my SD card, but have no concept as to how to do this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 - very nice looking device - to replace my old and clunky Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. And I want to transfer all my phone contacts across. On my Xperia, I've got "Phone contacts", and gmail contacts. I tried to import all my phone contacts by first exporting them to a simgle file, and transferring that file to the Samsung. And now I've got this vast list containing, it seems, everybody who I've ever called or emailed, including various names who I don't recognize at all. Is there any way (maybe a specialized app) of keeping my phone contacts and gmail contacts separate? And how do I manage my vast list of contacts?
