Today I purchased a higher capacity micro sd card. There is a similar thread but no info on apps that are instaled to the card. If I just copy everything to the new card will the apps still work? Or do I need to move all the apps to the phone and just transfer my media, bookmarks etc?

I know that I can put applications on my SD card now that the phone is rooted (very easily using Liquid Frozen Yogurt). Anyways, what I was wondering is if I put all my apps on my SD card, what happens when/if I reflash my ROM? Will I have to wipe the SD card, reinstall the Apps and reback them up top the SD card? Or does it install once the SD card with the programs is inserted?

I know you long press the app you want to move, and select the choice to move it. is TiBu shows the notification of it being moved. I then go back into setting, look at the apps on SD card, and they do not show up. I am running NexBeast FRF57 V0.1.1. My Titanium Backup is at version 3.2.4, I can reboot, still doesnt work. Superuser shows Titanium has permissions, so I am not sure what the deal is.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo with the last few ROMs I've had installed, I've tried moving apps to the sdcard. I figured it would be a good thing, even if I wasn't running out of room. Every time I move more than just a few apps to the sdcard, my whole phone starts getting laggy. I just moved all of my apps back to phone and the "lagginess" is gone. I currently have UD8.0 installed, but it has behaved this way with LFY and Pete's BB ROMs as well. So it doesn't seem to be a ROM related.

I have the same issue except that my contact card has automatically synced to my facebook and I would prefer to change to a different picture that is not my facebook profile picture. There's no option to do so under people->my contact card and if I go to a picture in my albums it only lets me set the photo for a contact that is not me.

Part of why I wanted to change the default was to have more Home screens so I could scroll horizontally to view my apps (like the iPhone; I am not trying to be like the iPhone.I just do appreciate certain design factors!).Is there a way to change the default location of the apps to the various Home pages? Or do I have to manually shift each one? For some reason, I find the vertical tray not as helpful or easy to access, although now that I can jump to apps by letter, that does make it better.

I did a factory reset because the option to clear data option under Settings - Applications - Manage Applications - Google Apps - Clear Data was not there (I have Sense UI 2.1, don't know if that was the culprit). My question is, is there a way to reinstall my paid apps, without buying them again, since my phone now associates my new gmail address with the market and Google Checkout? Or is there a way for the market to use my old gmail address so i can reinstall these paid apps without paying for them again, and then use the new address? I backed up all my apps with Astro, but for some reason bTunes didn't get back up.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo far, I love the Evo, but I am having three problems with it. And they are getting annoying. First off, some applications will randomly terminate. It started out being regular downloaded applications that would just end. Whatever, it was bearable albeit annoying. But now, sometimes important applications like "Touch Screen" (I don't think that's the exact name) are starting to terminate randomly. That made it so that I couldn't text (rebooting the phone restarted the application).Two, I seem to manage to accidentally press the screen in a random place just about once per minute when I'm holding the phone. It's getting to the point where I feel like it's starting to push random buttons when I just press the sides of the phone. I don't know, it's tough to describe. Also, there seems to be some other shortcut screen that pops up every so often. It's a small box in the middle of the screen that shows my six most recently used apps. I have no idea why it pops up, or how, but I would actually like to use it if I could figure out how to do it.
Three,lastly, it seems to lock up a lot. It just freezes, just like a computer would. It's probably done this about ten times now.So is anyone else having any problems like this? It's starting to get very annoying. Big blemishes for such an amazing phone... it makes me sad to think this has so many interfering problems.
I bought my wife a 16gb SD Card for her Ray and I would like to transfer the content of the current 8GB card to it. However, I did installed some apps on the SD as the Ray's internal storage is so limited. What should I do to be sure that all the apps will run correctly after the transfer? Should I bring all the apps back to the internal storage, then make the transfer then put them back on the new SD ?

Once in a while when the last person that has a dedicated ringtone calls me the default phone ringer set itself to that person's ringtone. I turned off my phone took the battery off and the rebooted, the problem goes away for a awhile and before you know it happens again! It's really bothersome when you think a particular person is calling you, (because of a ringtone) you answer and it someone else.

Today I took a call from the missus and when it ended and went back to the homescreen, the wallpaper had changed to that horrible yellow one. I've had this happen a couple of times now, once when exiting Messaging, and today, exiting the Phone.

Finally I am reaching out to community for help for the first time. I want to buy a bigger (and faster) SD card, and want to make sure I don't screw anything up. Can I simply insert the new card and format it, or do I need to transfer any specific files, do a wipe of any sort, etc. before switching cards?
I have the HTC desire. I have been setting up my phonebook and adding photo's to all my contacts. This means when i receive a text i get to see a picture of who has sent it, but when i reply i do not have a picture and can not add one. I have gone into contacts, viewed my name card and tried to edit to add a picture but there is no option to do this.
