Since this afternoon, the sync icon (Arrows that point to each other and form a circle) won't go away.
I'm not sure if it's doing anything. I even tried turning sync off altogether but it won't go away.
Tried shutting down twice.

On my wife's droid there is either a green circle or an orange clock-like icon near my name in her contacts. Any idea what this is?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just went from 2.2 leak to 2.1 and then to OTA 2.2.
When I got to 2.2 OTA, I did Titanium "restore all apps with data" (not the option with "all system data").
Now, I have a sync icon in my notification bar that won't go away.
In settings->accounts, I have no accounts at all set to sync (I even unchecked my google contacts and calendar).
I already did one system format (because the first time I restored with titanium I restored system data too and saw in some other threads that could be a cause). After the system restore, but before titanium, I wasn't getting the sync icon.
I can't not use titanium to restore or it'd be a huge task to get things back to the way they were.
My sync icon in the notification bar will not go away. Anyone know why? I'm not sure how to check if my google account is being synced correctly, I don't think it's syncing correctly.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy phone froze last night (for the first time) so I had to do a battery pull and when it booted up I got a call...and the slide arrows are pointing up and down instead of right and left. I know someone else had this happen, I remember the thread, I just think it's kinda funny looking. No worries, obviously they still work, just pointing in the wrong direction! I almost want them to stay that way

Is that for the sync of all apps on the phone like email, facebook, news, and anyother widget that updates and use data. It allows me to turn data on/off to all these programs rite? Its nothing to do with any sort of syncing account, I have it fully turned off, and my accounts removed, but it still shows..
After rooting, the sync icon in my status bar has been stuck. I've tried doing a factory reset as well as removing all my sync accounts.

View 16 Replies View Relatedthe "messages" icon on the home screen is a sort of envelope speech bubble looking yoke when there are new sms text messages you get a small green circle over this icon with the number of unread messages in it. how do you clear this?
I hit the icon and get a screen of my text messages none are highlighted in bold to say what's unread AND even after opening them all and going back to the home screen the damn green circle is still there. after a while it goes again?any ideas?
I have haptic feedback turned off, but the arrows you use to navigate the home screen still vibrate, as well as the luck buttons and widgets. Is this normal, or is this an issue? Also while in low light, or dark conditions, shouldn't the for hard keys light up?? Is this an issue if they don't, or just an affect of not having brightness set to auto?

It should be simple to set some attributes of the ImageView or the RotateAnimation, but I can't figure it out.

I got one from the Dark Gray Status bar theme from over at XDA but would really just like the circle on top of the Nex Theme since its so awesome . Anyone know where I can get one at. Ive searched a lot of other forums and found some for other droids but didn't know if it would work with the X and most of them had to be installed through metamorph.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm ordering something on the internet using my Droid X and highlight the initial form field, my keyboard opens, but I lose the ability to see the webpage.No big deal until I have a form that requires multiple entries (Last Name, First Name, etc) at which point I have multiple data field boxes that need to be completed, but no way to see exactly what data is being requested in each box. Is there a way to set the keyboard so that only one data box shows at a time, or so that I can close the keyboard after each entry so that I can see the next box on the webpage?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm implementing my own sync adapter and everything works great. A strange i'm having is that after the sync is over, the Android still shows the sync icon (the one with the rounded arrow) in the account activity, and that someone (i guess its the account manager) repeatedly calls the sync again and again, every 30 to 60 seconds. Now i tried all sort of things to test this issue and i have discovered something strange. In my code, i do resolver.applyBatch every 50 new rows. (each new contact i sync has about 5 rows). If i remove the applyBatch (which means i retrieve the data from the next, sort it and prepare it, but never "commit" it) - the problem goes away. The icon disappear and the account manager never calls it again on its own (I'm using Android 2.1). I must also state that no exception is being thrown in any of the cases and that all the methods finish gracefully.

He is telling me to look in my settings under wireless & networks and tell him what I have for APN's. Well the thing is I don't even have anything in there! Does some body know where to find what he's talking about? I emailed him telling him I couldn't find it anywhere and he seems baffled as well.

When I start the tether, I don't receive any errors (although I haven't checked the log), but when I look for the Droids access point, it's not shown on the list. I have access control enabled and it hasn't notified me that a device is trying to connect. I followed and have only done the following to root and to install wireless tether to the phone:

OK, this isnt as stupid of a question as it sounds at first.I know how to actually do a factory reset.My question is, does anyone know where the thread is that explained all the steps in backing up your information (with certain applications) before doing a factory reset? There was a thread here that told you certain applications that will make sure your data was backed up so you can restore it all after the reset.I remember seeing on on this forum a while ago, but after searching a few times, I cant find it.I'm hoping a factory reset will help with my icon lag issue and the general sluggishness of my phone.

But no matter what rom I try to install, I get the little triangle with an exclamation point with the phone below it. I am sure I am missing something. Help a newbie out? So far I have tried to install bugless beast and cyanogenMod.
