So what's the point of blacklisting numbers with handcent if you can still freely read them in the stock messaging?? Like if I didn't notice it first... holy crap... so is there anyway to fix this? Cause not everyone is dumb and won't think about looking under the app called messaging.

I dont get it, what am i missing that the masses seem to know? I see it allows you to change the colors and puts them in little bubbles.how cute, but they actually reduce the number of viewable messages on the screen.It is this customization feature that people like most? How else is it better than the stock messaging app?

So far I have noticed that it tends to drain more battery, some messages are not recieved/sent, and recently today it deleted my entire library of text messages. I am not complaining abot the app at all. I just want to know if my issues are unique or if anyone else has witnessed these issues on their phone. Let me know if I am just an idiot, or if my phone is acting up, or you guys have also had these issues. I hate to get rid of handcent because I like how I can change the color of the notification LED but its not worth having if it means deleting all my text.

But reliability is Job 1, so I kept chompSMS for a few weeks.Then I heard that Handcent received a major update a few days ago, so I replaced chompSMS with Handcent. So far so good. I got all the features back, and I haven't had one single issue in days of texting. So if you're like me and you left Handcent for chompSMS, you may want to give the new version a spin.

He is telling me to look in my settings under wireless & networks and tell him what I have for APN's. Well the thing is I don't even have anything in there! When I start the tether, I don't receive any errors (although I haven't checked the log), but when I look for the Droids access point, it's not shown on the list. OK, this isnt as stupid of a question as it sounds at first.I know how to actually do a factory reset.My question is, does anyone know where the thread is that explained all the steps in backing up your information (with certain applications) before doing a factory reset? There was a thread here that told you certain applications that will make sure your data was backed up so you can restore it all after the reset.I remember seeing on on this forum a while ago, but after searching a few times, I cant find it.I'm hoping a factory reset will help with my icon lag issue and the general sluggishness of my phone.

I couldn't get DDMS to take a screen capture for some reason so I took a picture of the screen with my G1, so please forgive the quality! As you can see the line is there at the top of the fade out in the list.

When he rings my phone send busy singnal and he thinks maybe my phone is out of reach But if he sends Messages it sends delivery reports to him and he knows that i have Blocked him.
Since this afternoon, the sync icon (Arrows that point to each other and form a circle) won't go away.
I'm not sure if it's doing anything. I even tried turning sync off altogether but it won't go away.
Tried shutting down twice.
The biggest talking point with this phone seems to be the size. Id be curious to see some numerical opinions! I myself have been waffling: at first I thought "Oh, way too big". Then this picture made me think its not the much larger than similar phones and I was getting it for sure! But this pic has me wondering. Looks pretty giant in her hand:

View 5 Replies View RelatedI took the easy way, and more due to lack of time, as I am tech savvy, I used the SM Updater and now the DM updated to ROM my droid. But I do miss the black notification bar.I saw that Metamorph could do some settings, and I installed their blue theme, but all it did was change the colors of certain things, I thought I was going to get the bar too.So, how I do get the black bar with the cool round battery? Or should I just ROM to Smoked Glass ROM? I want to give this one a chance before I move to something else

I want to go w/ a basic clean looking theme or maybe a rom. But do i have to change the rom can I run stock? I'm deodexed with 928 so do I put another theme on this one or do I need to clear data/wipe first?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo like everyone else I was getting really annoyed about the time stamp issue with handcent under 2.2. I looked at the release notes for handcent and saw that version 3.27 added some sort of timestamp fix for the Droid X. Apparently this actually causes problems with the DroidX 2.2 official release. I got an older copy of handcent (version 3.26) and now everything appears with the correct time stamps. I got the apk from here: Download Handcent SMS for Android at Freeware Lovers. You will also need to use the app SMS Time Fix from the market to address the problem with the delay that causes messages to be out of order. So I guess one less thing broken, now if only they can fix the double lock.
