I have haptic feedback turned off, but the arrows you use to navigate the home screen still vibrate, as well as the luck buttons and widgets. Is this normal, or is this an issue? Also while in low light, or dark conditions, shouldn't the for hard keys light up?? Is this an issue if they don't, or just an affect of not having brightness set to auto?

View 6 Replies View RelatedThe other day when typing my haptic feedback kinda went clunk. Now I get no feedback whenever I move from one screen to another or select an icon on the home screen. I am sure that I got feedback when I pressed an icon before, I just want to make sure that it is supposed to do that.
So, can anyone confirm that they get the haptic feedback when they press an icon on the home screen?
I still get feedback from the softkeys, but it does not seem as strong, so I think by haptic motor has a problem.

I used to really love the Latitude interface, when I clicked on a friend in Latitude, I got a screen with many options, including Navigate to, send text, etc.
One really cool feature on this screen was "what's nearby" which showed stores etc. that were near my friend.
Also, the background was black and the text was white.
NOW (after the last update): I lost the "what's nearby" feature AND the background is white and the text is black.
What can I do? Is there a way to revert maps to the older release?
Well, what happened was my screen turned blank. I could not turn off the phone. It was just blank. The buttons on the bottom of the phone will light on and off when pressing the power button. What am i suppose to do in this situation or any other situation where my Droid isnt acting right? Well, i didnt know what to do so i just took out the battery and put it back in. I am not sure if thats the proper way of doing it. I hope my phone will be okay after that. So, whats the right way of going at it?

My phone froze last night (for the first time) so I had to do a battery pull and when it booted up I got a call...and the slide arrows are pointing up and down instead of right and left. I know someone else had this happen, I remember the thread, I just think it's kinda funny looking. No worries, obviously they still work, just pointing in the wrong direction! I almost want them to stay that way
View 12 Replies View RelatedI know there are other threads on putting your phone on vibrate, but haven't found an answer to my particular issue. When I'm in the lock/unlock screen, I can go two ways. Swipe right and the phone unlocks, swipe left and the silent mode is on/off. Is there a way to make it go into vibrate mode on/off instead of silent? I NEVER use silent but I ALWAYS use vibrate, and would much rather make that quick switch at the lock/unlock screen than using locale or volume control after unlocking.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using an LG Enlighten, not as a phone but simply something to connect to hotspots with, check my email, and such things. Since I was not doing anything vital with it, I didn't put much thought into backing anything up.
Now, irritated with the default web browser, Bing and suchlike, I downloaded a bloatware remover and deleted the browser, along with two or three programs that looked like Verizon bloatware. As it turns out, one of those was my home launcher.
I did back these apps up in the program itself, but that isn't much use since I can't even access the program without a home screen.
I realized what had happened when I pressed Back to get out of the app. Instead, it went to the last app I had used. And then the one before that, and before that, and so on. I tried to keep pressing back until it would take me to the market, where I could open up the bloatware removal app and restore the backups, but eventually I came to a black screen where I could do nothing at all.
I turned off the phone, and was unable to turn it back on without performing a factory reset. Now, the phone goes to the Activation screen, and I am able to connect to USB, but that's it. The escape sequence won't bring me to the home screen - the launcher is apparently still gone.
Is there a way that I can restore the home launcher?
I'm having trouble to figure out how to bring the paused Task back to foreground. As far as I understood, when I click HOME button while a task is running, the task will be paused (onPaused() of the current top-level activity will be called,right?). I think there might be a way to bring this paused task back to foreground since the task is still ALIVE, but I don't know how. Do I have to put some more codes in the activity (I mean the one that is paused)?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid X with the OTA 2.2 rooted and when I put the phone in Vibrate the phone will not vibrate at all not for phone calls, text, or email? I have "MINI INFO WIDGET" and when I go in there to adjust the volume to vibrate it will work but then when I try to go back to Sound Profile I have to manually adjust the sound again? I have Vibrate Widget and when that is selected it goes to silent only. I tried Uninstalling MINI INFO and VIBRATE WIDGET but I still have the same result sooo it can't be the programs.

I'm not sure if it's doing anything. I even tried turning sync off altogether but it won't go away.
Tried shutting down twice.
This morning my alarm started unexpectedly at 6am. The lock screen turned into the snooze/stop screen. Dragging down didn't stop it it.. It came on every ten minutes for the next hour. My alarms were set to 9:45am and 8:30pm as usual. Even turning the phone off and on didn't stop the beeping. It was my 9:45am ringtone even. (The two are set differently)
Anyone else see anything like this? I'm on OTA 2.1
I have addresses saved for many of my contacts and but there doesn't seem to be a way to use a voice command to initiate navigator with directions to their address (i.e. "navigate to John B"). Has anyone figured out a way to do this?I know I can pull up the contact list manually and click the map icon for them and then get into navigator that way, but hoping for a simpler, voice driven way to do this.

I installed Fabolous' NexTheme ESE81 R2 ROM using the SPRecovery method, and everything is running great except for one thing. When I search in Google maps and find my destination, the navigate button is greyed out and is unclickable. If I do a voice search of say, "navigate to [Destination]", the navigation app loads up and works fine.
What I am wondering is if possibly I missed something when installing the ROM that caused some conflict with Google maps? I searched around here and also other forums and didn't find much of an answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
