Ok, my camera is slow! It takes a couple minutes sometimes to open, if it even opens at all! Everything else on the phone works fine, but this slow camera is very irritating. Any ideas on what I can do to get it running a little quicker?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy HTC is really slow! When I receive a new message it takes about 30seconds to even open it, then a further 30 or so to wait for the keyboard to respond. I have tried deleting the messages from my inbox and starting fresh, but am slightly cautious about just giving it a factory reset!
Also, when i am finished a phone call, as I take the phone away from my ear, it flashes on and off, meaning that I can't actually put the phone down! The only way to do it is to take the battery out of the back and start again!
Overall, I'm not very impressed with the phone, its supposed to be suitable for a businessman, but I can't even get it to work as a personal user!
We have 4 other people in the house with the same phone and none of them are experiencing these problems.
I am running 2.1 on galaxy S and its one month old phone. I have installed 16Gb Sd card. I have installed lots of applications on the phone and i think coz of which the phone has become really slow. If i go to task-manager---> Summary, under program it shows 456MB/516MB. Is there a workaround to keep all the current apps on the phone and also increase the spee of the phone. For eg;- when i hit the phone key, it takes 5 sec to open the keypad/calllog window.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am wondering why now, all of the sudden my camera button is taking me to the messages app. It didn't used to be like. Is there some settings I might be able to change? I haven't messed with anything as far as I know but this is pretty annoying. By the way, the camera still makes its startup noise.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I open up messaging on my home screen, it's pretty slow and choppy. I have about 10 threads open with about 3,000 txts total. I delete most pictures and animations I receive, to save memory, but I like to keep my text txts. It's slow when I scroll down through my threads, and it takes a second or two to open up a thread, regardless if it has 10 txts in it, or 2,000. Anyone else have this problem? I should add that it did not improve after the update. I wonder if I'm low on memory overall, but I have 87M free according to my advanced task killer app. I get what seems to be a glitch too, when I get a text message and it appears at the status bar at the top, sometimes it shows the same text three or four times, at random intervals. Sometimes it just shows it once, like it should?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it normal for push email to take 3-4 minutes on an android device? I just sent some test emails from my laptop. They arrived at 6:33 pm and the timestamps show the were sent at 6:29. Maybe I'm just spoiled from having a blackberry because I'm used to push email being immediate, not 3-4 minutes later. Is anyone else experiencing this?

View 5 Replies View RelatedJust got the phone and loving it so far but im having major issue's with You Tube, Most video's take about 5 mins to load in low quality and in high quality it can take upto 30 mins or more which of course by that time the phone locks and the video has to restart again.
Any suggestions as to why it takes so long? Also is there a setting for video's to automatically start in high quality? And for the phone not to lock?

View 3 Replies View RelatedFirst off, my X is rooted, running the original leaked 2.2. This morning, my stock camera app stopped working. I click on the app to open it, and it flashes a black screen for 1-2 seconds before returning to the home screen. It was working perfectly fine last night when I took 20+ pictures. The strange thing is that I have done absolutely nothing as far as messing with the phone. Not even a single app downloaded for the past 2 weeks (been busy on vacation!). The hardware is fine too, because I can take photos with Vignette. A battery pull and about 5 restarts has not solved the problem. Any ideas on how to fix this? Or is my only option to do a factory reset? Also, can I restore all my apps easily with titanium backup paid edition?

I know that "at times" doesn't mean it's a slow processor but vs. the incredible which is being touted as the phone that blows through any task with ease I was wondering which phone has better performance.

I can open and take pictures using an Fx camera, but anytime I try to open the camera or camcorder it will open for maybe 2 seconds then just close, sometimes my screen will just be completely black, and also sometimes it tells me camera not available try again another time.

I've made sure not a lot of apps are running when i go use the camera app, but it still takes 4 seconds or so for the camera to take a picture after I press the trackball.

It takes about 2 seconds for an icon to even highlight when i tap it. then another 2 second to open the app. Now, I'm new to Android, and I got an app killer, and I leave 4g and wifi off.. my friend suggested I take out the battery to reset the system. View 20 Replies View RelatedI have galaxo 1.6.3.1. after playing around with the launcher (replaced AdvancedLauncher with Helix for donut) i now experience some troubles with the dialer - its extremely slow: when i press the dial button i takes about 5 seconds to load. if i click the Contacts tab it takes around 3-5 seconds.
I tried clearing the dial application's data (thus removing all my contacts and my call log), but its still slow.
Offcourse there's always the solution of reapplying update.zip but i want to avoid it
Just receive my Evo! My service/port is not yet activated but I am using the phone via Wifi. Why is the market slow? Searching is fine, but when I click through an app, it takes a while for the info to show up. The same is true with the install page. Just blank white boxes for a bit. Is this common?
The download page also takes quite a while to show up and it shows all the apps I've downloaded and used so far as STILL INSTALLING.
I have an HTC Hero, rooted, latest Cyanogen with LauncherPro Plus. But I don't know if it's a rooted issue so I posted here. Sometimes scrolling slows to a crawl, sometimes it takes a minute to go back to the home screen, LauncherPro crashes a lot, the lock screen takes a few seconds to unlock. Other times all of that zips through. It's maddening About 24 megs of free storage on phone. What could it be? And the phone reboots a lot on its own also.

I am coming from the graphic design and Photoshop and I knew few things about camera and image processing and after looking in the camera app on android I cant find good app that can just take a pic without processing! (sharpening, noise redaction, etc)
I wonder why no 1 made such app that gives the user option to take the natural photo prom the sensor without the stupid image processing algorithm!
I want the natural photo and edit it later in pro software (Photoshop)
What affects how fast the camera takes a photo? Is it software (app or possibly rom?), hardware(camera, ram, cpu), or something else? Just wondering, because I noticed my friends s3 take photos much faster, especially in regard to auto focusing (iphone as well). I have an HTC Sensation, and my camera takes much longer to take a photo.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got my x on launch day no root no 2.2 all stock .well i've been noticing its getting slower don't have much installed only about 10 apps. The browser will start and then stop when u tell it to go somewere then after a dew sec it takes back off. Text message when u bring it up it takes about 10 sec to load then another lag to start typing and there wont be any old messages in box and when they do finally come up u can't scroll threw the old ones.
