I'm putting my X back to stock and unrooting for eventual froyo. I've got it all from a package except one: com.vznavigator.I cannot find it anywhere. Did our phones come with vz navigator? If so, where can I find this app? Downloaded systemapp2.1 and it's not in there either.

I was having trouble updating my " my verizon " app today and kept getting the message installation error package was not signed correctly. i read to delete the app and reinstall, but after i found out that the ota update coming out tomorrow supposed to fix this but i already went in the sys file with astro and deleted the verizon apk and astro said it was successful. is this possible to delete factory apps with astro did i screw my phone up

One issue I have is not been able to find the Verizon apps for the FiOS DVR and Remote Control. Have they not been ported to version 2.2? I'm writing a little dhcpcd hook (script) and was wondering how could I get some properties into it. Getprop doesn't work in dhcpcd's "environment". I can see some hooks are setting properties with setprop (that works) but getprop just doesn't return anything. What am I missing?

I've been using AppBrain to interface with the Android Market and I have been running into an issue where I try to install a couple of apps, it says it's starting download, but then nothing happens. I even turned on and off my 3G a few times, with no luck. This has happened once before. Is there something wrong or is this a case where the Android Market is a POS?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI Factory Reset my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and after that I found the Google play Store was missing. I tired various ways to recover it but i'm not able to get it back.Also I tried manual way but i'm getting error 'unfortunately Google play store has stopped'.
I'm even not able to update my device. when updates are downloaded it ask to reboot the device. But after rebooting the failure message appears and it ask to do the update through Computer using Kies. Here also it says you device is not supported.
Should we do a factory reset after unistalling apps so that we make sure that every bit of info is gone from that app or can we avoid that

Facebook, Messing, or Browseing the web, I miss incoming calls, the caller (WIFE and others) goes directly to my voice mail, I have checked to see it the check box in the contacts section is check or not (the one that tells the contact to go to VM), and it is UNCHECKED, yet calls still goto VM, the even go to VM after i am done surfen or Texting, is there some way to tell the phone or a check box that i can check to accept all incoming calls no mater what i am doing, i have even called CS to see if CALL FWDing got turned on some how, they told me nope!

View 10 Replies View RelatedBeen on 2.1v3 since it came out and just today I noticed in the market a couple of games are now showing in my Downloads as Purchased. I bought them back on 1.5 and haven't seen them since the 2.1v1,2,3 updates.
They are SmartPix games Tan'n'Feed and CrystalLight Defence ( and they are great to play, by the way ).
Anyway, I'm 99.9% positive they have not been in my Downloads in the Market since I started down the 2.1 path. Now they are...weird.
Wonder if the 2.1 rollout triggered something in the marketplace?
I have tons of Apps that I don't use or even want on my phone. They all came with the phone and it won't let me uninstall them. How can I get rid of them? Are they slowing my phone down? (Stuff like Footprints, Youtube, Also, what is the cheapest way to upgrade to a better phone? I have Verizon and renewed my contract about 6 months ago so I don't have the early upgrade option yet. Will I have to buy a new phone at full price?
