I've read a couple of reviews on the Moto X and they all say that at times the phone felt sluggish and that the shutter speed on the camera can be slow at times. I know that "at times" doesn't mean it's a slow processor but vs. the incredible which is being touted as the phone that blows through any task with ease I was wondering which phone has better performance.

Does anyone else find find the camera on the Desire extremely sensitive to any hand movement while taking a picture? I found the camera on my old iPhone 3GS much better in this department (although the picture quality overall was not as good). And I know that a phone is no replacement for a dedicated camera, but is there any way to improve the shutter speed/sensitivity to movement?

Most of the people are clear, but usually someone is moving which leaves a big blur.Before people say it's camera shake, I know the difference between shake and shutter blur. It seems the shutter is staying open too long to allow enough light in for proper exposure.

The next most relevant aspect is the ISO setting, but the Android SDK does not have a way to manipulate it. View 5 Replies View RelatedI don't know what has happened with my phone recently. I had flashed ss4.8, ss4.9, lfy 1.9, and now cyanogenmod 6.1 RC3. My phones internet browser has force closed constantly on every ROM I mentioned above. Its never done this before. I can't even hardly load or scroll through a web page and it force closes almost everytime I use the internet for more than 5 mins. The phone itself has been horribly slow too no matter what kernel I use. I noticed something about JIT in the cyanogenmod settings, could this possibly have something to do with it? I have no clue I'm just shooting in the dark but my phone has been almost unusable.

Flash Mode says auto under it, but the box is grayed out and I cannot select it to change it.
This is the same for the auto focus feature, I am unable to select that as well.

But my 3g speeds seem to be incredibly slow and I'm hoping there's something I can do about it. I might've just chalked it up to poor coverage in this area, but I get consistent 4 bars and I've ran SpeedTest.net and XtremeLabs Speedtest and, oddly, I'm getting very high numbers for upload speeds which seems to suggest the network is fine in this vicinity and something else is going on. WiFi speeds are perfect, very quick.

Upload: 223.6 kbps (Don't know about the large discrepancy here)
So is there any course of action I can take to improve the situation? I've not tested speeds at any other locations yet (just got the phone Wednesday) but the high upload speed seems to tell me that it's not just a matter of my house being a 3g dead zone. And of course, this is my first experience so maybe I'm completely wrong with all my assumptions.
I am trying to transfer some music over to my phone through the usb with mass storage selected and the transfer rate is only about 2MB/s. Does this seem about average? Just seems like 3.4GB taking 24~28 minutes is a little slow

For example it take a few secs to open an apps while previously it was rather quick. And also, the handcent SMS take rather long to open.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my x on launch day no root no 2.2 all stock .well i've been noticing its getting slower don't have much installed only about 10 apps. The browser will start and then stop when u tell it to go somewere then after a dew sec it takes back off. Text message when u bring it up it takes about 10 sec to load then another lag to start typing and there wont be any old messages in box and when they do finally come up u can't scroll threw the old ones.

I've tried it several times and its physically impossible to answer the phone, listen to who's calling, get the number pad to come up (after waiting for the screen to wake up) and press 1 before it sends the caller to voicemail.
I really like this phone, but its lag is wearing on me (and I'm running one of Joeykrim's speedy kernals). I hope it speeds up with the upgrade to 2.1. If not I might have to switch to a Blackberry (blasphemy!! ) until Sprint comes out with a faster Android phone.
Anyone else had the experience of internet speed with PDAnet being maple syrup slow? I mean, obviously the Eris is not the fastest phone anyway, but there are, confusingly, times when it's actually quite fast. As a corollary to this question, are there ways to increase 3G/tethering speed?

Past 2 days the wireless has been down due to a storm and I was forced to use phone for internet after not using it for months. Its slow almost dial up slow, even tho the phone shows its in 3G the browsing and download speeds are painfully slow. By the way I am using easy tether.
