Jul 26, 2010I have BB 0.4 with blue energy theme and chevy 1.1 lv kernel. Along with Launcher Pro. Normally the notification LED will blink when i get a text while doing normal stuff or nothing at all. But when i am gaming the LED doesnt blink. Has any one have a problem with this? Also, when i open a message from the notification bar instead of the message box in the dock. The dock still displays the number of messages unread even after reading it.

Dec 27, 2009Emulators are fun and all but, I have just been playing Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. on my iPod Touch and nothing in the android market can touch it. The difference in graphics and game play between the Apple App Store and the Android market is huge. Is it a limitation of other android devices? From what Ive read the Droid has the same (or similar) processor as the iPhone 3GS. I am playing games on the 2nd Gen iPod Touch which has a slower processor and it performs flawlessly. I am not an apple fan boy and have never owned a iPhone. I love my Droid and want to be able to hand my touch to my wife and forget about it. Will the Droid ever get any high quality gaming apps?

Mar 14, 2010Are there any emulators on the webs that I could download (other than the paid ones on the marketplace) that work pretty well? I'm all down for paying for apps and stuff to support the devs but it would be cool if there are free ones out there that work just as well. - Without jailbreaking, can you get roms on the iphone for free?
- If so how?
- How well does the on screen controller work
- Is the small screen you have to use on the iphone emu an issue?

Jan 25, 2010I have about 2 gigs of music on my sd card and my phone still runs smooth as silk. Then I put 8 or 9 gigs worth of videos (mp4's) on there and the whole phone started lagging BIG TIME. Like, lagging more than a...Err, slower than a...Well, something. I mean, I'd swipe from one home screen to the next and the screen wouldn't actually change for 4-5 seconds; And scrolling up and down through gchat IM's or in the app drawer was VERY choppy. I tried a power cycle and a battery pull to no avail. The only thing I did before this laggy behaivor started was dragging-and-dropping those videos onto the card, so I tried deleting them, power cycled the phone and now I'm back to the original smoothness.
I suppose I can live without watching videos on my phone (though, they would have come in handy on a roadtrip I have later this week), but has anyone experienced anything like this?

I can not buy or commit to anything without a bunch of reviews and , of course full specs. So when waited patiently for the countdown to end , I was hoping for an unveiling with meat. Now I've spent an hour and a half everywhere online, but nothing is really new. Has anyone seen an official spec sheet, final copy? I've seen the one that got posted by mistake last week on verizon , but has either motorola or verizon posted anything official? How about reviews, will they come after the 6th, or sooner?

Jun 14, 2010I just got home with my new Droid and I am wondering if I got a lemon. My screen seems very dim. I didnt really notice it in the store, however compared to my Droid Eris (which is at about 30% screen brightness) the Droid looks much dimmer, even when its at 100% brightness. The only other thing I can think of is that its the Invisible Shield the guy at Best Buy applied for free. Do they dim the screen at all? With my Eris I can literally have it turned to 25% brightness and it seems brighter than the Droid at full. As does my iPod touch. It has to be turned down to 50% or so before it matches the Droid at full. I have turned off auto brightness and manually turned up the Droid to full.

Jul 18, 2010I'm debating whether to go with the Inc (shipped to my house on Friday) or the D-X. I so much want to choose the DX b/c of the larger screen but to be honest, it seems like the usability of the Inc is a a bit better (much closer to iPhone experience than D-X) as the scrolling b/w menus is much smoother than the D-X
Separately, I tried accessing the chicago tribune website on both phones - the DX only allows me to access the mobile version but the Inc allows me to access the full desktop version. When I tried clicking on desktop icon at the bottom of the Tribune website on the DX, it still points me to the mobile website. Any idea why this is the case?
Motorola Droid :: Full Wipe Required For ROM Installation?
Aug 4, 2010Rooted tonight, and playing with ROM Manager and Bugless Beast V0.4 (Froyo). I'm wondering when installing a ROM using RM, it asks if you want to do a backup and wipe before installing. I have already done a backup and don't really want to start over with a completely blank slate once Bugless is installed. Is it possible to just install a ROM without doing a wipe first? If possible, should it still be avoided to prevent issues? Basically just wondering if a full wipe is needed/recommended before installing a new ROM.

Nov 15, 2009I don't know if anyone had the problem of being able to send mms over handcent, but they got an update now that allows this. It even allows you to send slideshow messages. Ex) you want to send a picture with a small ringtone or audio file it will send it! It also auto splits messages longer than 160characters for us into mms. Awesome app, im glad they keep updating it.
