Motorola Droid :: Best Control Configuration For Emulators

I am looking for opinions on the best comfortable and easy control config for each of these the nes, snes and sega emulators on the droid.
Are there any emulators on the webs that I could download (other than the paid ones on the marketplace) that work pretty well? I'm all down for paying for apps and stuff to support the devs but it would be cool if there are free ones out there that work just as well. I figured I'd ask here first instead of googling it without knowing what to really look for.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI know that iphone users can jail break to get the old school emulators and I think that by now, there are some emulators in the apple market. My question is on a couple levels...
- Without jailbreaking, can you get roms on the iphone for free?
- If so how?
- How well does the on screen controller work
- Is the small screen you have to use on the iphone emu an issue?
Also add any feedback you like and your opinion as well. I'm just curious that's all. Hopefully one of you has experience in this field
I am having some very annoying email problems that I have fought with for almost a week, researched and tried multiple programs, and followed about every tutorial on this and similar sites to make work. My school system's email provider is junk, but since I'm a traveling teacher (I bounce between schools) it is very important that I be able to receive and reply to emails from administrators and other teachers. I'm coming from five years of Blackberry email, where all it took was inputting my address and password in the BIS email page and never having to give it a second thought.
So far, here's a rundown on what's happened and what I've tried:
1. Using My Accounts and the stock email program, my email address has been added. It will not connect when set up as a POP3 account; I must set it as an IMAP account to retrieve any emails. No matter what port setting I use (25 or 587), I cannot send or reply to email.
2. Using K-9 email, I am able to download email as POP3 with standard settings (port 110). As with the built-in client, I am unable to reply to or send emails.
3. Before you ask, 587 never worked. I've tried.
4. The email address is configured in accordance with our service provider's instructions..
5. This issue has occurred in the same manner on both 2.1 and 2.2.
Is there any non-market/market, fully functional free emulators I can download for older systems. I'm a broke college student.
View 1 Replies View RelatedTasker does not seem to function unless I use the motorola control panel and turn on bluetooth, wifi, and gps. If I shut these off via the control panel then tasker does not turn them on at the appointed times and events.Which begs the question, is tasker REALLY turning them off? or are the icons just going away in the notification bar (because they still show as on in the control panel widget)Has anyone else noticed this issue?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAs in, I rooted my Droid X and installed wireless tethering. I got my girlfriend to try to access the internet with her laptop via my Droid X's connection and she was able to do it.My question is, how can I dictate who is and who isn't allowed to use my connection. Say I'm tethering wirelessly and someone I don't know wants to use the connection as well. How can I disable them from doing so while still being capable myself?
View 7 Replies View RelatedLooking for a PC connection control App Probably a simple issue but my Brain is on shut down mode
Coming from Wm 6.5 I had a App that I could connect my Omnia i920 to the PC and control my device with my PC mouse. I could view files and move or delete a needed etc by using a enlarged view of my current screen on my PC.
Ok after a few deals where things seemed a little amiss with stuff happening on their own on my Moto Droid I have found a good example and wonder what other people think about this question. Not to long ago I read somewhere about confirmation that Google can go into your phone and wipe apps and make changes on the fly with push technology and no notice. How true is this and can Devs do the same thing? About a month ago a program that I used regularly after trying to start it I get a msg that the program can not be found.I went to the Market download and it was shown that it was installed but that there was an Update for it. Updated and everything was fine. (Did the Dev's for that app do a push to inactivate the app because the update was critical and had to be installed?)Now just last week I updated the Application Where and after the update when trying to run it from a home screen or from the App menu it would say program not found. I had to actually go to Market--Downloads hit Where and then when the app screen popped up with the Open and Uninstall button at the bottom use the open button to get it to run.I proceeded to uninstall the program and reinstall and still same problem.I wrote Where and told them of my problem on Friday.Yesterday Tuesday I got a response. They changed their name from Where to WHERE and it was causing problems and that I should delete any homepage icons and use the menu Icon.I then went to the menu icon hit it and the program ran. The thing is there was no updates. I did a uninstall/install on the program. tried to run the program from the menu Icon and no success Now after an email from WHERE I go to the icon on the menu screen and it works.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince the Playstation 3 uses bluetooth, the remote that you buy in stores for it is bluetooth, and our Motorola Droids are bluetooth compatible, would it be possible for someone (not me cause I don't know how) to make an app that would enable the Droid to be a bluetooth remote for the Playstation 3?? I know there are apps to turn it into a remote, but I think this requires an separate adapter or receiver. Anyways, if anyone knows if its even possible or not, please let me know. If it is possible, does anyone want to tackle this app?? I know I would be willing to pay for it, as I'm sure others might as well.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have looked and looked and looked and I cant seem to find anything that helps me control the accelerometer more then either having it on or off.
Its a little picky, so I need help calibrating it as well as seeing if there is a way I can designate it to only work in certain programs. If there is no way to do that, is there a widget that will allow me to turn the accelerometer on/off that I can download (if so whats the app called in the marketplace)?
I ve just installed them + loaded some .nes , . smc games. None of them work. I tap them to open and application force closes or it opens the menu of the emulator.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI hate that the volume control rocker changes both ringer volume and media volume. Is there a method to make a universal volume control? View 1 Replies View RelatedI did a search and all I came up with is people trying to stream audio via bluetooth. One of the nice features I am a little envious of the ipods having is that about every stereo out there has an interface to control the ipod remotely. View 1 Replies View RelatedI've noticed though that when I use it to turn on wifi that my wifi never actually turns on and connects. As soon as I go into the wifi settings and see the list of available connections it finds my router and connects right away. Anybody else having any sort of similar issues? It's a little annoying to have to turn on wifi and then also have to go into the settings menu to get it to connect.

I turned the power control widget on and don't like it on my home screen. How do I take it off my home screen?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo ive searched again, and found that the Droid has a built in Power Control Widget. Looks likes something Id like to use, but Ive search my phone and am unable to locate it. Ive also searched the forum and didn't find any results on how to install it.

View 8 Replies View RelatedIs there a quick way to adjust the media volume without having to launch a media app? The rocker defaults to ringer, but since I like to use the voice search button a lot it is extremely irritating when the connection error bong or success bong blasts so loud. seems like those should be tied in with the ringer vol/vib control not media volume. I looked for a volume control app or widget to go with the buzzlock and ring profile icons i have unnecessarily taking up space, but i couldn't find one that looked like it fit the bill and worked on Droid.

Mine always has a lot of stuff running that I don't use (e.g. Corporate Calendar and Voice Dialing) and I would like to keep these apps from starting at all. Even when I kill them with the task killer they automatically open back up at some point. I'm just concerned about battery usage.
