Motorola Droid :: Car Home / Using Extra Squares
Sep 3, 2010In the Froyo 2.2 Car Home, we apparently get 2 screens with 6 squares on each. Has anyone determined how to add personalized apps to the 3 empty squares?Is there any way to remove or re-arrange the existing icons? i.e. why is Maps on page 2, but Music on page 1.Any help greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to add apps to the extra spaces on the car dock on 2.2? I've tried long-pressing the open space but nothing happens and the menu doesn't allow this either. It seems a waste of space if we can't.
Motorola Droid X : Extra Apps Running With Froyo Update
Aug 22, 2010Has anyone noticed that there are lots of apps that are autostarting with the new froyo update. I have to constantly open Advanced task Killer to kill these apps. Things like, skype, google search, and contacts for example. Any way to keep these from autostarting every 5 seconds... its like they start immediately after I kill them.

Nov 8, 2009I setup my Droid mail system with the Yahoo IMAP servers and everything seemed to be working fine.The only issue is when I send an email from the droid.I sent a test mail from the Droid and it worked fine.A couple of hours later, I checked my sent mail folder on Yahoo Mail on the PC and I had like 15 extra sent mails.It seems to add one every time the Droid checks for new mail, until I delete the sent mail of the droid.Any ideas?

But now when I go to Music I have Double Playlist one with music and one empty. On this forum I have gotten clarification that I don't need the "corporate email plan".I added my corporate account through Corporate Sync. It seemed to take just fine and appears to be set up. I checked the boxes that I wanted contacts and calender to sync and checked off the email one. Per an email with IT, it appears I put in the correct information. (They won't formally give support since it's a personal phone.)I hate to seem like an idiot here, but where and how does the calender and contacts sync and show up on my phone? Is there some other software needed here or some setting I need to check. How do you make the sync happen and does it load to the existing calender and contacts apps in the X?

Sep 13, 2010Had my droid about 6 months now and decided to give *228 a try as my reception has not been great recently. To my surprise I got 2 extra bars of service right after I did *228, watched the bars go up while sitting in the same seat. Amazing, never thought it did much, but I am very surprised.

Sep 2, 2010From my computer, I can log into my Google calendar and not only does it have my personal calendar, but it also includes the weather, US Holidays, and various sports schedules that I have chosen. On my Droid X, I was able to add the weather & US Holidays to my calendar, but not the sports schedules.
Also, I previously had a BlackBerry, and anytime I would accept Facebook events from my BlackBerry, it would automatically add it to my calendar (which was synced with my Google calendar). I don't think my Droid X has this same feature.
