So I just bought 2 apps from the market.1 was 1 dollar,1 was 2 dollar.on my bank statement the 66p came out and the 1.32p.but after each transition there is also a 1 pound charge.is there a standing charge for buying apps?or am i getting ripped off?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have purchased several apps through the Google market. Updating to Froyo required a system reset for me so the apps had to be reinstalled from the market. My google checkout and login ID are the same but Google charged me again for the apps and they showed up on my CC. Tried to resolve through google but gave up in frustration trying to find some way to dispute or rectify the situation. I disputed the charge through my CC but I have a feeling that is going to cause more trouble. Surely there is some way this is SUPPOSED to work and a planned way to rectify easily when it does not.

Is there a way to add apps to the extra spaces on the car dock on 2.2? I've tried long-pressing the open space but nothing happens and the menu doesn't allow this either. It seems a waste of space if we can't.
Has anyone noticed that there are lots of apps that are autostarting with the new froyo update. I have to constantly open Advanced task Killer to kill these apps. Things like, skype, google search, and contacts for example. Any way to keep these from autostarting every 5 seconds... its like they start immediately after I kill them.

I am currently travelling at Hongkong, here in Mongkok district of Hongkong, there are hundreds of shops selling mobile phones at 'quite cheap' prices. I just bought a HTC desire, it was sealed with plastic, and the storekeeper said that it was a HTC desire with warranty. For HKD 4100. I wanted to buy 2 units, one for my sister. But the store only has 1. So I went to a store next door, and the storekeeper said what I just bought must have been a 'refurbished' one. He said the normal price in HK should be around HKD4250 - HKD4300. Question is, Are there really any method to check whether this new phone I just bought isn't a refurbished one? or a second hand sold as a new unit ? seeing me as a foreigner, they would think I am easier to trick.

I was wondering if this number is stored anywhere on your device after you purchase an app, and if it is, is there anything in the API to allow an android app to retrieve this number. I was just curious to hear what any former Evo users thought. I cant wait to get it to see if ##775# works...Long story regarding force roaming. Although I'm not much of a cell gamer dude I am curious to see if Asphalt 5 looked better then the Evo since the 30 fps cap def.shows, (gets choppy when too many cars are onscreen). Now when I try to use my T-mobile (sim monthly contract) in Desire, it shows the network but when making any calls, no call is made. It shows 'call ended'. Does anyone know why this happens? (Have I made a mistake by purchasing this phone?) Does this need to be unlocked?

I have changed phones a couple times since then, and was able to redownload them free of charge because it kept records on my account of them. Now I have my Evo and cannot figure out how to get back to the Sprint store site, so I cant get these games I have already paid for. Any ideas?

I stopped yesterday at the Verizon store and got the 2150 Battery-it is also draining quickly. I guess the Seido battery was not the problem. The battery was fully charged before I left yesterday, but it was drained completely after being off the charger for only 16 hours..5 of them I was sleeping. I do not have the GPS on...etc..None of my setting on my phone changed. I am not sure why the battery is draining so rapidly.
