I searched but can't seem to find an answer to my question, so sorry if this is a repeat.
Is there a way to add apps to the extra spaces on the car dock on 2.2? I've tried long-pressing the open space but nothing happens and the menu doesn't allow this either. It seems a waste of space if we can't.

View 18 Replies View RelatedHas anyone noticed that there are lots of apps that are autostarting with the new froyo update. I have to constantly open Advanced task Killer to kill these apps. Things like, skype, google search, and contacts for example. Any way to keep these from autostarting every 5 seconds... its like they start immediately after I kill them.

When texting using my physical keyboard the phone inserts spaces or @ signs after letters that I type that are not the word I meant to spell. Sometimes what results is not even a word. I tried disabling the auto completion feature but it still happens. Has anyone else seen this and is there a fix?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI setup my Droid mail system with the Yahoo IMAP servers and everything seemed to be working fine.The only issue is when I send an email from the droid.I sent a test mail from the Droid and it worked fine.A couple of hours later, I checked my sent mail folder on Yahoo Mail on the PC and I had like 15 extra sent mails.It seems to add one every time the Droid checks for new mail, until I delete the sent mail of the droid.Any ideas?

Has anyone determined how to add personalized apps to the 3 empty squares?Is there any way to remove or re-arrange the existing icons? i.e. why is Maps on page 2, but Music on page 1.Any help greatly appreciated.

To my surprise I got 2 extra bars of service right after I did *228, watched the bars go up while sitting in the same seat. Amazing, never thought it did much, but I am very surprised.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought the car dock and I do not like it. I wish you could just set the phone in the car dock and have it charge without plugging in the charging cable separately. Would it be possible to use the multimedia dock as a car dock? It seems like the only difference is the polarity of the magnet. Can that easily be reversed (cut out and turned around)? I already have an adapter to plug the USB cable into. 3M makes a great double-sided automobile tape that would hold the dock to the dashboard. Anyone with a multimedia dock willing to try it out and report back?
