Motorola CLIQ :: Keys Backlighting Stopped Working
Mar 31, 2010Last night my D,F,G and H keys backlighting stopped working. anyone else ever seen this? My phone is only two months old and has been treated very gently.

HTC Desire : Sound Has Gone / Stopped Working On Keys As You Press
May 12, 2010My phone was working fine last night but today the sound has gone/stopped working on the keys as you press them..the settings are fine and all switched on..I took the battery out and tried again but its still the same..any thoughts please?

The application Home (process com.motorola.blur.home) has stopped unexpectedly.
and gives me the Force Quit button.
It usually happens when I'm texting or using the Messaging widget on the home screen and today it has been happening very often!! Starting to get annoying.

Feb 26, 2010Does anyone have Visual Voicemail working on their Cliq? I received a new Cliq a week ago aand only just tried Visual Voicemail yesterday.
The app (which was pre-installed on my phone) is call "Voicemails" but just shows empty when there are definitely voicemails waiting and I even have the voicemail logo in the upper left corner of the Cliq notification bar?
Motorola CLIQ :: Custom Button Not Working
Dec 17, 2009I wrote a TV Guide for the UK/Ireland market. Everything was ok until one of the people that downloaded it reported to me that the custom button I wrote wasnt actually working on his Cliq. I cant get back in touch with that user, so I cannot troubleshoot the problem. Could any of you Cliq users test the app and maybe send me a logcat?
Unfortunately I dont have a Cliq, nor have access to one.. any of you developers have noticed a similar behavior with your custom buttons? The app was tested on Magic/Hero/Tattoo.

Jul 16, 2010The home key of my CLIq is not quite working lately. Is there anyway to fix it ?
Also, recently, my phone seems not able to receive call. I can dial out, but no incoming. My friend told me that my phone would ring 1 or 2 then transfered to voicemail.
Motorola Droid 2 :: Keyboard And Front Button Backlighting Not Lighting Up
Sep 1, 2010i was messing around with ADW Launcher and when i put my phone down i flipped it over and noticed the phone had froze. Didn't think a whole lot about coming from an Eris it was nothing i wasn't used to.Well when i pulled the battery and went on the market place, i noticed the Keyboard wasn't lighting up.Then i noticed even the front facing buttons were lighting up, now mind you i'm sitting in a rather dark room with my laptop watching a movie so it def should have lit up.I've reset the phone a few times now and still no backlighting and i don't know what settings they are under.

Nov 3, 2010A backlight used to turn on for the bottom hard press keys on my dx but ever since I downloaded and installed the live wallpaper panoplied, they don't turn on anymore. I don't know how or even why a live wallpaper would turn off backlight settings for the keys but its becoming a major inconvenience. I checked the settings but couldn't find where to tweak backlight settings. I also rebooted the phone and did a soft reset but that didn't work. Can anyone out there help a brother out?

Dec 11, 2009I'm having trouble with one thing on the Cliq - hanging up calls. Since the end call button is on the screen, 2 things keep happening:
- I hang up on someone by mistake, because my cheek touches the button while I'm talking
- By the time I am done talking, the screen has gone black, so I have to hit the menu button to turn the screen back on.. but that takes me back to the home screen, so I have to navigate through to get back to my call and hang up!
Is there some sort of setting or app that could change the end call button to a hard key, like the back button, so we can hang up that way? It would be a tremendous help!

Feb 25, 2010I had a missed call and when i called the person back..i put the phone to my ear and heard nothing.. after about 3 times i decided to try speakerphone and that worked...so my phones internal speaker does not. is there any reason why? i would like to know if this happened to anyone before i factory reset it

Jun 14, 2010This weekend, returning from a roadtrip, I fired up my Navigation and got only the "Searching for GPS" notification in perpetuity. Network location was working. Chalking it up to cloudy skies and just general Murphy's Law, I carried on without thinking much of it. After about an hour on the road, the skies had cleared and I tried again...same thing. My brother was in the car who also has a droid. He tried his and GPS located and worked just fine.
Yes, my GPS is on. I've turned it on and off several times, went into and out of airplane mode, of course rebooted. Did a battery pull today. Still not working. Uninstalled most recent updates on the Maps app, didn't work. Reinstalled the updates...well, why would that make it work.
The GPS "broadcasting satellite" icon comes up in my status bar when attempting to locate...just never succeeds. It seems to be not working for any App that requires GPS (i.e., not just Maps or Navigation)
Motorola Droid :: K-9 Mail Stopped Working?
Feb 11, 2010Several weeks ago I was using the default mail client and my (free) Yahoo account just randomly disappeared one day. I decided to download K-9 mail and give it a try. Setup was easy and it worked like a charm. No deleted emails coming back, no multiple messages in my sent folder, everything just worked.
That was until a couple days ago. I noticed that I hadn't been getting any email notifications on my Droid through K-9. I opened the app and the last email showing up was from 2/6/2010. I did the refresh and nothing happened. I held down the power button and choose "Power Off". I turned it back on. I went to K-9 did a refresh, it said it was checking my Yahoo account but it didn't retreive any new emails.
When I log onto Yahoo online I have new emails (both read and unread) but none of them are being retrieved by K-9. What is going on?
Motorola Droid : All Vibrations Stopped Working
Feb 26, 2010so, today all my vibrations stopped working. no haptic feedback. i checked all my settings, no problem there. phone not on silent. tried a restart, no good. so then, i shook the crap out of my phone and holy crap, that worked. all my vibrations are working again. does that mean there's a problem with the vibrator hardware?

Dec 31, 2009I received my new Droid recently (yes, for Christmas), everything was working fine - even while using the Open Home feature.
However, some time this past week - or longer - the voice mail notification has stopped working. No blinky light, no icon, nothing. I have tested using the regular Home and the Open Home - same results. Just a missed call notification. Further troubleshooting steps I have taken was just powering off the phone and powering back on. I have also removed the battery for a couple of minutes and replaced, still the same. I have also cleared out all voicemails and left myself a voicemail, still same thing. Only the missed call notification.

I could just do a complete wipe and reload to see if that resolves my issue - but my question is, the applications I have paid for, will I have to pay for them again? Or does it keep track of what you purchase?

May 10, 2010My light has stopped working. The LED isnt dead, cos I DL'd Missed Call from the Market, and it works with that app, but not when I get a text, tweet or FB invite/msg/event. It flashed green for: tweets and texts and Blue for FB notifications.

Jul 1, 2010My Droid wall charger stopped fully working this morning, and Im not sure why. It may be either that the charger is broken or the port is. When I charged the phone this afternoon on my car charger, it worked fine, but I did notice once that the input piece for the car charger is slightly wider than the wall charger, and the wall charger has seemed to fit loosely in. I cant tell if anything is actually wrong with the silver input piece on the wall charger. Should I buy a new wall charger or take the phone to Verizon to get the the port possibly fixed if that is the issue? Can they even fix the port?

Sep 25, 2010since wednsday I can't use my mobile internet. I checked my APN settings and I didn't find anything which could make any problem. I just use Quick Settings and I used to switch sometimes between on/off in the mobile data. I don't know what's the problem...I even reset my phone and reinstall everything but the mobile internet doesn't work to me. when I tried to enable my mobile data on Quick Settings, for a second the 3G Icon appears on the top of the screen and then it disappears. it looks like something stopps my mobile internet working.

Jan 21, 2010I was wondering if anyone was able to get their T-Mobile/Motorola Cliq to work on T-Mobile's basic data plan? They now have a specific Android data plan. I can't believe that they raised the data and unlimited text message plan to cost $45/mo. in total for Android phones! I'm using the $19.99 unlimited data/messaging plan now and would like to continue to use it. If anyone has successfully done this, please let me know how you did it.
