On my 2nd day of having the Cliq, I started receiving this error:
The application Home (process com.motorola.blur.home) has stopped unexpectedly.
and gives me the Force Quit button.
It usually happens when I'm texting or using the Messaging widget on the home screen and today it has been happening very often!! Starting to get annoying.

I Just installed a new theme (Live Wire) for my Lithium Mod Rom. Don't know if there is a connection, but when I need to update an app, I get the message something like "process android media process stopped unexpectedly" and it will not allow the update. Everything else works well. I have turned it off for awhile, and have done a battery pull.

If I go into the messaging app, it works as it should (replies to the same number).

I seem to get this error message when I turn on the phone after powering off. I get to click "force close" and then it seems to work ok. "The application HTC Sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly."
View 7 Replies View RelatedFor some reason I can't explain, when my app runs, I will on occasion get the following error message: "The application xxxxxxxx (process xxxxxx) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". When I debug my code, it seems to break at random places that doesn't make sense. On top of that I tried to surround the entire code with a try/catch block just to try to catch the exception, but it doesn't work either. I'm suspecting it's the OS that is producing this error message but I don't know why. As far as my code goes, if there were exceptions caused by it, it would've been caught by the try/catch block. Can someone shed some light here?

View 7 Replies View RelatedSo since I got the phone on Thursday, at random, I'll get these popup crash messages, that say "The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly" it has a "Force Close" button, which doesn't seem to change anything other than to acknowlege the message.It will happen at random, sometimes while I'm on the home screen, or sending a text message, but more recently, as I was trying to manage & link contacts. When I searched for this message it seemed to be related to people using Gmail, but I always get this message when I'm doing other things and not even touching my Gmail account.

So, I decided to give Tridents ROM a try about 10-minutes ago.
I used ROM Manager, backed-up my old ROM, then downloaded Velocity 0.2.
Now, my phone will do nothing, it turns on and shows the red Droid eye, then when it's time to go to the home screen I get pop-up after pop-up saying that "The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I have no way of getting on my phone at all, what can I do?
On my Droid X, I get this message when I tap the battery icon while my phone is plugged in to the wall charger.Displays this message, then gives me the icon to force close.When I unplug the phone, it's normal and shows me the information such as time since unplugged as well as the normal information about percentages for what applications have used battery on the phone.I am running (2.2 froyo stock).No modifications or leaked downloads have been used on this phone.

The handset has been popping what this message for a couple days: The application Maps (process com.google.android.apps.maps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. I did not open Maps, nor Latitude on my phone. I did not root my phone, yet I this message pops up every 20 second, and is extremely annoying. I was only give "Force close" as the choice to end the message box. Nothing really happened after I click on "Force close" until the next same message pops up.

ive reformatted the phone and its completely restored to factory settings. And it still does the same thing..

Also, recently, my phone seems not able to receive call. I can dial out, but no incoming. My friend told me that my phone would ring 1 or 2 then transfered to voicemail.
Since upgrading to FroYo, I get this error message on my HTC EVO every few minutes. It doesn't really seem to affect much, but it's annoying nonetheless.

I have a .PDF I would like to put possibly on one of my home screens as a shortcut. I plugged my Cliq into my computer and put the document in the memory card, but can't navigate to it through the phone. The only way I can find this file is if I open up Beamreader.
I just bought this phone off of CraigsList.When I try to launch the camera, whether using the dedicated camera button on the side of the phone or using the icon on the screen, the display goes blank for one second and then goes back to the Home screen.I called Tmobile, and they just had me do a hard reset which didn't have an effect.

I think I've narrowed it down to my HTC Weather widget, because I noticed that it now states "Current City" instead of the city name, such as Pittsburgh. So, when I open the weather apps and hit the refresh button, I get the error everytime I hit the refresh button.
The only apps I've installed since this started to happen are MyApps, Lookout (Update), MyVerizon (Update) and CNN News (Update).I've only had the ERIS for about two weeks and this is the first time I've encounter this error.
