Anyone else have notifications for updated apps stop working? The option is turned on in Market, sync is active etc and I don't get notifications, have to manually go into Market and check the downloads list. Sometimes there will be 10 updates in there. I used to get a notification when anything had an update... Anyone know why this stopped working?

So my new incredible doesn't update like my blackberry did. I checked the settings and the notifications are selected, but nothing comes through. When I open the app and goto the home screen and then notifications, I have to force a refresh to see my responses, etc.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been using my droid with gmail for 3 weeks now no problems. All the sudden I stopped getting notifcations from gmail. I did not make any changes to the settings and checked them to make sure everything was normal. If I go into gmail and click refresh I get a notification with all the new emails. It used to be instant, as soon as a new email came I would get a notifcation. Now they dont come at all... anyone know whats going on?
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Droid notified me that I had updates yesterday (yea!). I attended to the other two notifications (email and an SMS) and by that time the update notification was gone. When I go into settings and check for update, it says it's up to date.
Is there a way I can view my Notifications History so that I can go get the updates?
I've had this happen to me twice now over the past week. It seems that periodically my notification sounds will stop. I will see that I have new emails but never heard the sound. I will then go send myself a test text message and it will vibrate but make no sound. I've made sure all my volumes are up, and even went in to pick a notification sound and it will work fine in the sound chooser when I pick it.
I also noticed both times that it did this if I go in to Spare Parts or Battery History and look my phone is staying awake and Android Usage is the one with the partial wake lock. Generally I don't have any sleep issues, it only happens when my notification sounds have also quit working. The only way to fix it is power off and back on and then all is good again.
Recently I noticed that my LED has stopped flashing when I receive a text and was wondering if anyone had this problem and/or knew how to fix it. I'm rooted and running Bugless Beast V0.8 with adamz LV kernel.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis weekend, returning from a roadtrip, I fired up my Navigation and got only the "Searching for GPS" notification in perpetuity. Network location was working. Chalking it up to cloudy skies and just general Murphy's Law, I carried on without thinking much of it. After about an hour on the road, the skies had cleared and I tried again...same thing. My brother was in the car who also has a droid. He tried his and GPS located and worked just fine.
Yes, my GPS is on. I've turned it on and off several times, went into and out of airplane mode, of course rebooted. Did a battery pull today. Still not working. Uninstalled most recent updates on the Maps app, didn't work. Reinstalled the updates...well, why would that make it work.
The GPS "broadcasting satellite" icon comes up in my status bar when attempting to locate...just never succeeds. It seems to be not working for any App that requires GPS (i.e., not just Maps or Navigation)
Several weeks ago I was using the default mail client and my (free) Yahoo account just randomly disappeared one day. I decided to download K-9 mail and give it a try. Setup was easy and it worked like a charm. No deleted emails coming back, no multiple messages in my sent folder, everything just worked.
That was until a couple days ago. I noticed that I hadn't been getting any email notifications on my Droid through K-9. I opened the app and the last email showing up was from 2/6/2010. I did the refresh and nothing happened. I held down the power button and choose "Power Off". I turned it back on. I went to K-9 did a refresh, it said it was checking my Yahoo account but it didn't retreive any new emails.
When I log onto Yahoo online I have new emails (both read and unread) but none of them are being retrieved by K-9. What is going on?
so, today all my vibrations stopped working. no haptic feedback. i checked all my settings, no problem there. phone not on silent. tried a restart, no good. so then, i shook the crap out of my phone and holy crap, that worked. all my vibrations are working again. does that mean there's a problem with the vibrator hardware?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI received my new Droid recently (yes, for Christmas), everything was working fine - even while using the Open Home feature.
However, some time this past week - or longer - the voice mail notification has stopped working. No blinky light, no icon, nothing. I have tested using the regular Home and the Open Home - same results. Just a missed call notification. Further troubleshooting steps I have taken was just powering off the phone and powering back on. I have also removed the battery for a couple of minutes and replaced, still the same. I have also cleared out all voicemails and left myself a voicemail, still same thing. Only the missed call notification.

I could just do a complete wipe and reload to see if that resolves my issue - but my question is, the applications I have paid for, will I have to pay for them again? Or does it keep track of what you purchase?
My light has stopped working. The LED isnt dead, cos I DL'd Missed Call from the Market, and it works with that app, but not when I get a text, tweet or FB invite/msg/event. It flashed green for: tweets and texts and Blue for FB notifications.

View 10 Replies View RelatedMy Droid wall charger stopped fully working this morning, and Im not sure why. It may be either that the charger is broken or the port is. When I charged the phone this afternoon on my car charger, it worked fine, but I did notice once that the input piece for the car charger is slightly wider than the wall charger, and the wall charger has seemed to fit loosely in. I cant tell if anything is actually wrong with the silver input piece on the wall charger. Should I buy a new wall charger or take the phone to Verizon to get the the port possibly fixed if that is the issue? Can they even fix the port?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI programmed (in the "Settings") to have a custom ringtone (the Kimmunicator ringtone for Kim Possible) for notifications. However, it only vibrates when I get a text message. Also, the sounds only happens at random times, when I have NO notifications. It really bothers me. I want my Droid to give off the notification ringtone only when I have notifications, not when I don't have them.

I've seen this brought up in different forums but I have yet to see any answers. I'm wondering If anyone is currently or has recently had this same problem if so how did you fix it? Or is it still going on.
Also I've made sure that I do have notifications set to sound, they just don't, it just vibrates. I've even thought that I wasn't giving the phone enough time to sound but after seeing the trackball light up i let it sit to see if it will eventually sound and it never does.

I just use Quick Settings and I used to switch sometimes between on/off in the mobile data. I don't know what's the problem...I even reset my phone and reinstall everything but the mobile internet doesn't work to me. when I tried to enable my mobile data on Quick Settings, for a second the 3G Icon appears on the top of the screen and then it disappears. it looks like something stopps my mobile internet working.

Set the Battery Full Notification - it worked well for awhile, then simply stopped. (???)
Text message notification still works fine, but not Battery Full. I have tried resetting, and volumes are turned up for everything including notifications.
The local store suggested that I look online for an answer (hence this post), they said the phone settings looked fine. If a fix isn't found online they will restore the phone to factory settings to see if that works.
I was receiving emails on three different accounts up until this morning. I have been in the Application Manager stopping and clearing various services and apps I don't use. Obviously I have not done that to email, but are there any apps or services in there that affect email? I'm wondering if I messed something up by going too far parring down the device of stuff I don't use, or if this has happened to somebody else with an Eris and it's a bug.
