View 2 Replies View RelatedAnyone know of any apps or media players that have a sound equalizer? Speakers on my Motorola Cliq aren't great and at full volume the speakers pop because of the bass on some songs. Equalizer would be great so I can turn the bass down as the Cliqs speakers cant handle it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I added a bunch of songs to my phone for listening in work, I noticed a huge chunk of them got lumped together in a folder "unknown artist/unknown album". The common factor was they all ended up with a track number before each song title. I have always been a stickler for removing track numbers when working with my MP3s, so any idea what may be triggering this phenomenon? I went back and verified some of the culprit tracks in iTunes and no where in any setting, was there a track number associated with the song name.

View 8 Replies View RelatedThis is 2010. I refuse to believe that you can only play movies/video files that have .avi, .mp4, .mpg, .mkv file formats by converting. I remember Sony was slow on the uptake when they started the media server streaming which I use on a daily basis at home now.Is there a program that will decode the files as you stream them? Any codecs to install on the Droid X? I have thousands of video files and "converting" is time consuming not to mention creating two video files instead of one to play on devices. Converting is BS and whoever thought "Let's just have the users convert the video files" needs to take a long walk off a short pier.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have copied about ten albums of mp3s onto my HTC Desire but only about one in five of the tracks will actually play. Windows Media Player doesn't have a problem with any of them.
I've tried playing with the default music player and Meridian with the same result. Has anyone seen this?
Is it possible to install more codecs on the Android? Is that even the problem?
Im an audiophile....and many sites said that the HTC legend had great audio output...i dumped my old music phone and my walkman thinking this would be an all in one...but it doesnt have an eq: so is there anywhere i could get an equalizer for the phone ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI should have posted this here instead of over in apps. i know the "best MP3 player" debate has been beaten to death, but i want to know whick player does the best job at randomizing your playlists? I have a large collection on my 16g card and mixzing still likes to stick to one or two albums ... the only things i need are great random (i like to shuffle all my songs and let it play) and a album cover and forward, backward, pause buttons like mixzings ..
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid Incredible, and I have music stored on both the phone and the SD card. Meridian and Cubed only read the music that's on the SD card, and while the music player that came with the phone reads both, it can't play FLAC or apple lossless files (DoubleTwist does neither). Is there any way to either reconfigure Meridian or Cubed, is there anyway to get the music player that came with the phone to play those formats, or is there some other player that reads all the data AND plays those formats.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using doubleTwist to sync & manage my music on my HTC EVO 4G (and Palm Pre) and I've had just about enough of its slow iTunes syncing, slow device syncing and overall clunkiness (yes, I'm a previous user of the iPod/iTunes and Zune/Zune Software systems). Though I love the doubleTwist player for Android I'm done with doubleTwist. And no I'm not interested in Salling Media Sync (especially since its not free).
If I manage things myself by manually syncing/copying music to my Android (i.e., artist/album/ folder structure under /sdcard/music/):
[1] Where do I place the playlists (in .m3u format)?: /sdcard/music/playlists OR /sdcard/music/playlist1.m3u, playlist2.m3u, etc.
[2] what Android players are compatible with this format/structure (i.e., that'll pick up the playlists just fine)?
This is technically a Win7 question, but much related to Android. On my older Android devices, when connected to PC via USB for file transfer, they would "mount" the SD card as a standard disk drive within Windows. On my newer Android devices, however, they instead connect the device to Windows as a "portable media player." This is fine, except for one thing which really irks me. Every time the portable media player director structure comes up, it is displayed as giant icons. If I change it to "list" or "detail" view within Windows, there are two big problems:
- it doesn't stick (i.e. I'll reconnect later and it will be back to giant icon view)
- it doesn't apply recursively to all subfolders
With regular Win7 file explorer (i.e. for disk drives), it is really easy to set a default folder view for all disk drives on the whole system, and it will stick forever, and apply to all subfolders on every drive. Is it possible to do the same thing with portable media players?
I'm loving my x10 but am peaved that I can't play dixv and avi files on it are there any decent FREE (important) media players that I can use?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone seen a codec for g729 playback. My company uses g729a for its voice mail which I get in my e-mail but can't playback without a codec for a media player. I had one of these for my old WinMo device but can't seem to find one for Android. Any thoughts? Even a different media player with built-in support would work for playing back voice mail on the go.

The Bluetooth media button registration code works fine on the other Android phones that I have tested. Apparently this isn't the first time HTC has done something like this, as I also found a report of a similar problem on one of the HTC Microsoft Mobile Devices reported here
It seems extremely short sighted of HTC to code their media player so that it grabs the Bluetooth AVRCP media button events in such a way that other applications are unable to work with the Bluetooth head phone buttons and Bluetooth in car stereo systems.................
How do I get my custom ringtones from rooted media folder to show up in selection menus?
I am rooted and have successfully copied .ogg .wav or .mp3 ringtones to system/media/audio/ringtones, notifications or alarms folders. I can even play them from those folders on press.
My hassle is I am not able to select these as my tones. They don't show up in the menus. I want them in the root because if I am connected to my pc and an email/text/call comes in that is assigned a Custom tone on sd, then my tones revert back to a default tone and I have to reset them all when i disconnect from pc
I use Windows Media Player to manage all my mp3s and playlists. I want my Samsung Galaxy S to be synchronized with my PC. I can connect my Galaxy S using "Media Player" mode and use the built-in sync with WMP, but there are issues:
1) Some mp3s get "corrupted" - how do I force WMP to "re-sync" them without losing my playlist association (if I manually add it as a file to sync, it is no longer associated with the playlist)
2) If I delete an mp3 from the device, WMP doesn't realize and won't re-sync the file again... is there a way to re-sync?
3) Sometimes WMP will re-sync playlists and each song shows up 3-4+ times when I load up a playlist on my device. I then have to wipe the Music and Playlist folder and re-sync from scratch any way around this?
4) Where are android playlists stored? The Playlists folder on the sd card can be wiped, but the playlists still show up in the music player?
5) If I make a change to a playlist on my PC, WMP will freeze and start skipping random files the playlists get corrupt and I see problem #3 occur. Essentially, if I change a playlist, I have to wipe the Music and Playlist folder and re-sync from scratch.
Is anyone using the Motorola Media Manager (or Media Link) to sync their itunes with the X? I downloaded the software but it keeps crashing. I've seen a few people refer to it but haven't seen much about it working or being used. I did find an app called iSyncr for PC that seems to have some good comments though.
View 11 Replies View RelatedAlmost a year ago I purchased the HT820 Motorolla headset so I could pair a bluetooth phone and mp3 player to the same headset. It worked fantastic. Now that I finally have my hands on the Google phone, I was hoping to dual pair the headset to the phone for both media and the phone.
I don't know if I am doing something wrong during the pairing procedure, but it will not play media through the headset, except in the second before dialing a contact or just after I hang up. Whatever music is playing, comes out of the speakers, but like I said if a call comes in, I hear the music through the headset until I answer, and then it pauses like it should, then plays again after I hang up but it switches back to the external speaker almost immediately.
It works fine for the phone, and in the Bluetooth list of devices, it shows as connected.
