Almost a year ago I purchased the HT820 Motorolla headset so I could pair a bluetooth phone and mp3 player to the same headset. It worked fantastic. Now that I finally have my hands on the Google phone, I was hoping to dual pair the headset to the phone for both media and the phone.
I don't know if I am doing something wrong during the pairing procedure, but it will not play media through the headset, except in the second before dialing a contact or just after I hang up. Whatever music is playing, comes out of the speakers, but like I said if a call comes in, I hear the music through the headset until I answer, and then it pauses like it should, then plays again after I hang up but it switches back to the external speaker almost immediately.
It works fine for the phone, and in the Bluetooth list of devices, it shows as connected.

I have always loved my Windows PC for the fact, that there are some programs with which I could watch movies with my girlfriend and have
1) English subtitles displayed for me on top of the screen and
2) Greek subtitles for her on the bottom of the screen.
Now, with my android mini pc and I cannot find an app which displays 2 subtitles at the same time.
My question: Is this there any app out there that and I just haven't found it?

I have gotten addicted to Rockbox's bookmarking feature since I listen to a lot of audiobooks. Is there any mediaplayer for android that does this (create bookmarks whenever you pause/exit the program). Or, even allow manual bookmarking?

I have several CDROMs with lectures on them and I would like to somehow transfer those lectures into my HTC Droid Incredible. My guess is that I somehow have to save the data on the Cds to my desktop computer and then from there save it to the phone.

The audio/video works perfectly if I watch the recording on my phone, but when I email the video to my gmail account and save it to my computer, it opens in Media Player and there's no sound. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have a Samsung Moment.

I have observe issue while playing with Android Music app :
The "Music" application in Android 2.0 {eclair} and 2.1 does not recognize an AMR-NB formatted audio file with the ".3gp" extension although it is listed in the Android Supported Media Formats in Android Developer's Guide:- <http://developer.android.com/intl/ja/guide/appendix/media-formats.html>
It does recognize the same file with ".amr" extension.
While Music in Android 1.5 {cupcake} recognizes both AMR-NB formatted audio file with ".3gp" and ".amr" extensions.
I also want to know if it is the current behavior of Music in Android 2.0 and 2.1 or a issue existing ??
If it is discussed earlier in at any thread before please place the link here .

I am working on a music streaming application and cannot find APIs I can use for it (MediaPlayer supports files only local or HTTP). I have a few questions and would appreciate if someone can help me answering them.
Does Android SDK 1.5 support audio streaming (MP3 stream for example)? If does what API calls I can use? If doesn't what are the plans for future SDK releases that would support streaming? Are there any suggested work arounds until the streaming is supported (like temp files etc)?

Has anyone else had this issue while trying to play MP3's through the Music player? I downloaded this album the other day (legally of course), the first track plays fine but the rest of them just throw up this error.
"Sorry, the player does not support this type of audio file"
The tracks play fine in media player so I'm a little stumped.

I do have an unused Xperia X8 which would perfectly fit as an extension for my HiFi. The X8 should be plugged to the HiFi using a normal stereo jack and should provide the music to the HiFi.
The music should be stored on a network share or/and on the MicroSD card - and in some rare cases on some cloud service.
To find a player which is supporting these things is not a problem - but I do not want to get up every now and then to change music or to skip to the next track or change my playlist. We do have other Android devices lying around as well incl. a tablet So is there a way to control another Android Device which acts as a music player - from another Android device or PC to change music, to skip songs and so on ?!
If you are on PC - that is easy - you get a Web Interface for nearly every piece of software but hey - what about the android eco system - how they play together ?!

I am getting the following error when I try to play some song using the standard "Music" App: "sorry, the player does not support this type of audio file" So far I have only had this happen on .ogg files. I can play some .ogg files with no problem but other will not play. Often there is one I can play and one I can't from the same album which I ripped from my CD in the same ripping session so the encoding parameters should be the same. Another weird thing is that I sometime can succeed in playing a song by finding it in OI File Manager and selecting it there. OI File Manager opens in in the "Music" App and it plays not problem, but I cannot open it from within "Music" App!

Music101 question: Im new to Android and I have a CLIQ.
I just copyied music files from my Windows-based pc the they all copied with no problem. The issue is when I go to play the music I have to force close the app repeatedly then I get an error message saying "sorry player does not support this type of audio file".
Is there an app available to convert files or did I mess up the path in someway that the songs, all mp3's btw, just aren't being located properly?

Has anyone seen a codec for g729 playback. My company uses g729a for its voice mail which I get in my e-mail but can't playback without a codec for a media player. I had one of these for my old WinMo device but can't seem to find one for Android. Any thoughts? Even a different media player with built-in support would work for playing back voice mail on the go.

I am looking for a media player - to play all kind of music formats, mp3, wav, etc. Also it would be good to have a player that have a simple search through folders capability to go to navigate to phone's internal memory. The player that comes with Incredible has the capability to search through folders in the internal memory, but I don't think it plays all formats. On the other hand I see that "market" place is full of different players, but all that I downloaded only search on SD card and does not have capability to navigate to internal storage. I know one of the simplest solutions would be to put all music on SD card, but heck we have 8Gb of internal storage why not to use it?

So is the audio quality crappy and too quiet or is it just me? I tried listening to music using the included headphones yesterday on a plane, and I could barely hear the audio. I ended up switching to my iPod, which I had hoped my G1 would replace. Has anyone used the G1 with different (i.e. better) headphones, and what were your results? (I know the headphone jack is proprietary, but I'm hoping with better headphones/earbuds and a USB to 3.5mm converter I can sqeeze better quality and volume from the G1. We'll see.)
